Possible SCAM Alert!

We have recently come across a website, Mining Hub, that sells the SPx36. It has all the signs of a scam:

- They never contacted us, so are not authorized to resell our miner.

- The price is very low, it does not correspond to a pricing we give to our customers or distributors

- It only accepts payments in cryptocurrencies (ie, no bank account)

The SPx36 is advertised here https://mininghub.store/product/spondoolies-spx36/

We strongly recommend you to stay away from this website, until we clarify its status.

the question your voskcoin link on youtube says 35% off...is that the current 10K or so price...or it that a further 35% off the price listed on the spondoolies site

not saying I'm getting one..but that makes a big difference these days

brad

it takes 35% off of their current winter sale price Cheesy
[/quote

Well, that makes a bit more sense, but the math is harsh for me in that all my spending is from crypto (at least for next 2.5 years till full retirement at 66 and 2 months and plan to take my traditional investments then)

thus BTC to Hardware (on trust of timely arrival and profit ...based on BTC pumping and taking dash and/or all other alts with it) seems kinda silly in my situation. Now if you wanted to get this say from your

regular job income vs a Snowmobile say, that may make more sense. But if folk are counting on a BTC pump in price and you are living on crypto..seems best to wait for the BTC price pump with my current

BTC in hand. I have enough issues just spending BTC to eat/clothe self/ and generally get bath soap/ laundry soap with such...all these social conventions like eating and bathing burning up my BTC! The horror!

So I will sit on sidelines on  hardware likely. However, still mining 4-year-old KNC Titan miners using scrypt-N for Fujicoin (FJC) ..hey at 10c KwH vs heating my house in the winter it is a $25 buck loss at the

current $4k BTC prices and xfer rate...so what the heck. The KNC Titans will be 'doorstops' by the end of winter however, I'm sure, due to the 4c plus kWh price rise of summer rates. They are 'truly evil' to

have lasted that long in any fly by night way...KNC Titans ...the Sargon/Mordor of the crypto mining univese...the undead! Ack!

anyway, looks like I'm out, unless USB stick mining comes back and I need an itch.

Guess it is time to get the BTC node working again in the basement so when I do shut off my FJC KNC Titans, I will at least have something with blinking LCD lights in the BSMT)

Guy,

are the algorithms on-chip implemented in a way where they can be decoupled or reordered? This would be similar to how Baikal implemented their X11 chips and is what allows them to also support algorithms such as Quark, Qubit, Myr-Groestl, plain Groestl etc. If the SPx36 is capable of doing this, it would be a complete game-changer for many, many different coins currently at the mercy of Baikal alone. I understand if you don't want to answer this question publicly, of course - this massive leap in hashrate would destroy many of these small coins.

I'll ask once again here - if you are not a SCAM and reading this topic:

What about sending the unit to Russia (your site gives a free shipping) and about customs? You can answer in PM - it's OK. Can purchase one if everything is OK and make a review - 4.4kW is not a problem.

is there any confirmation it's not a SCAM? - my request about shipment to Russia from the official website was completely ignored - but the "product left in cart - complete your order" email arrived just some hours later I closed the website...

its not a scam. i can send you pics of the unit if you want. they should really send a unit to voskcoin or a member from bitcointalk to make a legit review.

that would make it clear its a legit product.

Hello

I have bought this miner from UK and hope to receive it this week. This is going to be my second miner after Innosilicon A9 Zmaster which is running great and have brought me into this mining world.

I have a question that since I am new to X11 algorithm is there any link you can refer me to where I can read exactly which coins I can mine with this asic. On most websites it says it can mine monetaryunit, cannabiscoin, dash, digitalclassic and onix but then I see various other X11 coins which I believe should be the same as mentioned earlier. But I wanna know if I can also mine coins like

Futorocoin, Ultranatum, Sibcoin, Paccoin, Eternity, Polis, Needlecoin etc

Thank you

First of all let me introduce myself,
my name is Shalom Cohen I'm the founder of the Israeli mining company named HashWare.
founded on late 2013 although we are working on a vast array of cryptocurrencies aspects  (mostly because I do what is interesting enough for me),
our main business for a while is consulting on building mining farms and resale of mining hardware.

Unfortunately BTT forum is not managed well for a while,
my original account were blocked after forum hacked back then,
as I mostly active on our local community so I didn't care,
I'm still come to read news when something interesting comes to my desk.

I opened this account just because I had to comment on this one,
I'm not sure I'll be using this account much, feel free to contact me on Facebook if you like.

It came to my knowledge that Spondoolies are working on something for a while,
and guess what... they did it again!

First time I met Guy and Spondoolies crew were in the beginning of 2014,
when their first beast (SP10) arrived with impressive specs at that time.

They were building a new beast with the most remarkable specs on the market at the moment,
their power efficiency is 1/3 of the best hardware out there,
as a small company they are actually building them here in Israel and their manufacturing capacity is very limited.
so I don't think we will see more than few hundreds machines in the market,
as for now there is around 1.6Ph/s running in the network,
that most of that hashing power comes from obsolete hardware (at current Dash price) like D3's (I personally running few 😖),
this would cause shutting down most of them, anyway this new beast is coming and you could keep mining taking the risk or not!

Some people here are complaining that this machines will be easily completely cover the network hashrate,
what can we do this is how mining works, when new mining hardware emerge the old one most likely go to waste,
from my experience most hardware is running by few hundreds miners anyway (some are running them for others).
even when there is only home mining equipment available reference GPU's.

Mining at this point is is mainly for professionals with low electricity cost and very low overhead costs,
anyway this machines are made for running on Datacenter's it will consume more then 4Kw/h,
exhaust a lot of heat and pretty loud (most mining hardware is),
I would not recommend trying running them at home unless you are living in Siberia and don't like the silence. 😉

Anyway Mining is a business of risk management,
if you do it right it can be very profitable,
now at this bear market when people afraid of getting in with new investments might be a good time to get in,
this machine will remove large portion of the equipment running today at bad conditions like high electricity cost, high rent and hot weather.

Here in Israel it's not really suitable for mining anyhow as of high rate of electricity and it's Damm too much hot here most of the time,
and I don't think there will be any self mining here.
the only cases to mine here is if you have excess energy here or by stealing it and I don't think it can be in very large scale anywhere in Israel. 😀

Anyway Most large scale miners pays around 5-6 cents and operate in cool weather countries,
"bitfarmes" (the company) for example paying 2.5c +2c for their overhead costs per KW and running in Canada.

With low manufacturer Capacities and competitive price Gh\s per $ in today's market could be a great choice.

P.S.

Remember in Dash there is another way of mining coins using Master node's,
currently earning around 8% yearly and there is less than 5000 participants investing around 200K US$ or 1000 coins.

Can't say I missed those hit pieces. Competitor or just a miner who did an investment in old obsolete equipment?

Anyway, we are a small company, producing in Israel. Our manufacturing capacity is limited for now.

Clueless!

i agree, this thing at this price is way to much for the x11 network/dash, if they sell 1000 units the income will be more then half of what it is now, add that to your ROI of current 250 days ( with cheap energy ) the energy/income factor will also get worse if the difficulty kicks in...

i get a flashback to the D3 release of bitmain, so many people got rekt...

yeah, catch is if you are hoping (and probably need with this machine) a doubling in dash prices to cover your ass...you probably are better off taking

the cash and holding DASH ...both bets depend on DASH ...but at least you can dump the dash at a partial loss if wrong...not so much any equipment

The price of this unit would have to 1/2 of what they are asking..and i suspect that innsilicon will have their unit ready at the price point of 1/2 in more

or less a month or so, in that they have had 1/2 of this hash out there for a couple months at an 11-12k price, I think it was. Anyway, my guess.

Hard to time equipment making on 6 month ago DASH prices and x11 machine and development just to have everything to hell in crypto prices...

kinda interesting to see the mnfg have bad luck timing wise vs price..usually it is the consumer of asic's (ie me) the crytpo world is cruel!

I imagine bitmain will dump a D3+ next then

yeah that would be my guess..in ALL my income is from Altcoins and eventually Bitcoin (retired 3 years early holding out for 66 years for traditional investments and soc sec for then)

it makes little sense for me to get these units...

DASH would have to at least double in price...and if you think DASH is gonna double in price...why take the risk of their miner...

seems to be more the case these days

and yeah, like you said about the time these ship Innsiliconn will likely have a unit out for much less price at 1/2 the hash...they already have a unit sold out

a couple months ago at 1/2 this speed (i believe) thus probably, when these ship they will announce

(let the asic wars continue!)

as to me swapping magic inet coin for the miner that makes magic inet coin on the hope it can make 2x the magic inet coin put in...when hoping for a pump of the magic inet coin

to cover your bet on this unit in less than an 8-month ROI...well, that is silly (at least in my case)

At first when I read the thread I assumed their username was hacked and it was some scam attempt however since it links to the actual website it seems legit.....

Accounts getting hacked here on Bitcointalk seems "a normal" thing. As you allready speak out.
It is such a big problem, however the moderators don't seem to give a fuck and if your hacked they are not willing to help.

This Spondoolies is a very nice miner. I expect the same quallity as my SP10's en SP30's I had back then.
(Still have my Sp10's, I just couldn't sell them)
Hell it is pricy, maybe worth a gamble if BTC was 16k\18k. Throw in 1 BTC and mine Dash for 1 or 2 year??

Don't think Bitmain will pass this quick.

Really surprised you guys are back from the dead. The SP20 was a great miner, very good build quality. In my opinion it was military grade hardware specs.

Wondering if you guys will come out with other algo miners? Basically I think an ETH miner would be the best hit as most of the other algo markets are pretty saturated right now and very unprofitable even with cheap power.

I assume you are not caught up in the USA and Trump Tariff battles and such, I also assume they are made in Israel

Just double checking for others on here, I don't plan to get one of these units at 15.5k

The catch is, you will need a pump in DASH price to justify this ..probably double...so if you plan to get equipment on anticipation of a return or pump in x11 coin prices....well,

you may as well just hold the coin...less risk (at this point in time anyway...till the end of the year at least)

I suppose if you have 2 to 3c kWh electric this may also make some sense. But way too rich for my blood. Retired on crypto. To take crypto at this point to get a pre-order

miner at this price and return of coin..seems rather silly, again, if my assumption is correct and taking that 15.5k usd and putting it into the coin of your choice first, on the

same premise as getting the miner...expecting a pump in x11 prices. Just saying. (would be nice to be wrong however, mining was very, very good to me...retired early and all)

be constructive or S.T.F.U
Seems like you guys can't keep up with bitmain and the other major Asic manufacturer. with all due  respect !  X11 coins are nothing but bullshit !. the only coin there is that MAY be worth mining is DASH , the rest are worthless shitcoins with market cap bellow 20 millions $ .
! also the fact of risking 15,500$ + shipping and other expenses in a single machine is not the best thing I would do.

I rather get 4-5 Z9s with this amount of money and make 2-3 the profit ! anybody can do the math ! sorry but this is so disappointing.!

I used to be a big fan! but i gotta be honest, after all this time i was hopping you guys would come up with something that actually worth investing in.
I hope that you take ROI / PROFIT as well as other options available in the market for your next one !

anyway, Good luck

Bitcoin FTW!
It's a shame you guys don't plan on making any smaller form-factor miners, but I am glad Spondoolies is back in the mining game again! I remember the SP20 was one of my favorite SHA256 miners I ever owned, and the last one I have left after selling off most of my ASICs.

I can't wait to see the actual clip of this miner hashing, was going to ask about noise levels but this thing's definitely made to be in a datacenter environment considering the rack design. What server form factor is this miner, also?

i may be wrong, but isn't this a museum piece already before its being sold??

besides... i think 15500$ is better invested in some good coins for more profit...
15k for an x11 miner?

I think this is more aimed to the data center/ hosted miner's with it being a large rack unit.
Though saying that many people mined at home with the last SP line of miners.

Gotta agree... 200-300 day ROI is too much.

Welcome back!

Fantastic to see a proper data centre miner again!

What would this produce a day in X11?
