but can my bitcoins buy those wet bewbeez?

There are 1096 pictures of wet bewbeez in the July issue.  Can you try it and let us know how the payment system works?  is it easy to figure out?  do you have any suggestions on how to make it better?

Why isn't Bitcoin mentioned anywhere on the homepage?

I did want to give forum members first chance at trying this.  I don't want to offer that "bitcoin back guarantee" to anyone outside this forum.  Try an order, let us know what you think of the process.  is it confusing?  what can we do to improve it?

We also need to be careful not to ruffle Visa, which can cancel us or any merchant at any time, for any reason they choose.  They do pay the majority of our bills right now.

Regular store offering Bitcoin as payment through word of mouth.

I hope a lot of people support this kind of merchant coming through that may not be able to do a full btc only business or even the resources to handle a campaign that would educate their established customers.

Hopefully he will work up enough business, or Bitcoin itself will get enough traction, where a Bitcoin logo will be right next to any Visa/MC logos and what not Smiley

And thanks to forum member Steve for the awesome payment service.  Fantastic!!!

Thanks!  Tony actually did a lot of the layout work for bit-pay.com.  He brought a lot of insight as a merchant to the design.  I'll probably start another thread shortly (after some sleep!) about bit-pay.com specifically and our plans for it.  I haven't posted much lately because I've been spending a lot of time building bit-pay.com, but those of you that have read any of my postings know how much of a fan of bitcoin I am.  I think getting more merchants to accept bitcoin for payment is a key hurdle that bitcoin needs to overcome.  We allow merchants to quickly create payment buttons and start accepting bitcoin.  The merchant can price in USD or BTC and take payment in either USD or BTC (we'll add more currencies later).  For some merchants, I think this is critical because they don't have to deal with bitcoins directly, yet they can accept bitcoins from people that would like to spend bitcoins.

We are currently alpha testing with STARe magazine and have a few other merchants lined up in the next week or two.  Shortly thereafter we'll go into a beta program.  If you're a merchant and are interested in the beta program, you can PM me or send an email to [email protected].

In the meantime, check out https://bit-pay.com (and watch the video on the home page that describes bit-pay.com)

Finally! Thanks! (Merchants getting paid in the currency of their choice regardless of whether customer uses BTC or whatever else.)

I do have a question though (although I guess that's more of a bit-pay issue): unconfirmed payments are accepted. What happens if this transaction never gets accepted into a block (too low fee that may take forever to confirm, maybe even a possible double spend...)

We allow merchants to decide whether to accept payments immediately, after 1 confirmation, or after the traditional 6 confirmations.  If we detect a double spend, the merchant won't get credited.  A product such as website access, where that access can be revoked easy enough, the merchant may choose to just grant access immediately and then revoke it later in the event of a double spend.  If you're actually shipping something, you might want to wait for a full 6 confirmations.  We also plan to implement detection of double spends that occur within a few seconds (by monitoring the network, we could very likely detect most attempted double spend transactions within a few seconds...since clients won't forward an invalid transaction, the network would very quickly settle on a transaction and simply not propagate later double spend attempts).

Now how do I become an anonymous affiliate?

Good question.  The referral service we use for credit card sales won't work with bitcoins.  at least not on the surface.  It is definitely something I am looking into.

And there are no legal restrictions from paying out a commission to a sales referral here in the USA.

Now how do I become an anonymous affiliate?   I would just need a unique referral tracker tied to a wallet id and email for you or something?   How exactly could that be worked out Smiley

I'm guessing depending on where you are located and laws and what not this might not be as easy as I would hope

STAREMagazine.com is the world’s largest online magazine for swimsuit and lingerie models.  As the owner and operator of STARE I am also a big fan of bitcoin and I want this technology to succeed.

We can now accept bitcoins for access to the members area of our website.  Price is around 0.6 BTC for a 1 month online issue.

To preview the July issue of STARE click here:

http://www.staremagazine.com/Issue.asp?IssueID=115

To buy this issue with bitcoins, or any back issue on our site, add the issue to the shopping cart by clicking “purchase this issue” or “Buy this issue”

Once the item is in your shopping cart, choose to “Pay Anonymously with Bitcoins”

To get as much feedback as possible I am offering members of this forum a BITCOIN-BACK GUARANTEE.  If you are not happy with the purchase, I’ll give your bitcoin back.  We would like as many people as possible to test our payment system and provide us with feedback.

Just FYI – the way STARE works is a daily update.  You pay for the whole month of July, but pictorials are time-released every night at 01:00 am ET.  So if you buy the issue on July 2nd, you get the first 2 days right away, and then you can see a new pictorial each day.  By the end of July the entire issue is viewable.  Any back issue (previous month) you buy is completely viewable right away.

And thanks to forum member Steve for the awesome payment service.  Fantastic!!!
