UFC is now part of the Galactic Milieu game.

Since trying to use "exchanges" to "discover" the values of game-currencies has proven a very awkward and unreliable process, we prefer to divide a "treasury" by the number of coins minted to arrive at a value. So for the last few years various groups wanting to adopt a currency as their national currency or clan currency or species currency or whatever in the game have been quetly putting together "treasuries" of "reserves" toward that purpose. UFC is now trade-able on the Stellar platform, along with several others of the Sci-Fi themed coins.

This platform allows any two assets to be traded against each other, no need to make the platform's native coin, Stellar Lumens (XLM) be one half of the trading-pair.

This means for example we have a UFC/DVC market, GPL/DVC, GPL2/DVC. USF/DVC, QBT/DVC etc but you can also make offers with any pair you wish like UFC/GPL or whatever.

jFYI, the minimum difficulty is fixed at 256 for UFC. It might take some time to find a block. Got some blocks per hour in the old days with ~1 GH/s mining and this base difficulty (when I remember right). Might get the miner out this weekend and point it to your pool.

im not a Blake miner can someone suggest port difficulties it almost seems the coin is stuck at 256 diff at the moment

Just set em to solo mine for now, easy enuff at current diff

I'll set some gpu's to mining UFC as soon as we know the port issue isn't a problem.  It would be great if this coin could make a comeback.

Just started the Windows machine (with 2.5.5) over here, got the same connections you've posted and my wallet synced fine upto 314351.

Will try to start my miner tomorrow, connect it to the Windows client and let you know if this worked as well.

The latest compiled Windows version I can find is 2.5.5 from the google drive link above, have it running on a Windows machine. Both working fine together since... forever.

There was a compiled 2.5.6 version for Windows available on the scificointalk-forum, but can't find any reference to this one anymore, sorry.

GPL and KED have active nodes. don't do much with GPL but often have KED staking

I can bring my wallet back up. I also can point so GPU at it for solo mining. I stopped when I had no connections anymore

Not that I know of. Most of the SCiFi coins went into hibernation when the scifi coin exchange died. most are on life support between vampirus and myself.. Cryptopia and crypto-trade have some of these coins

Scifi Blockchain LLC, registered in the state of Wisconsin,  is offering 10% share in net profits by issuing the SBL coin. Scifi Blockchain LLC is the owner/operator of the Scifi exchange.
This coin will be available at the www.scifi-ex.com exchange only. It is not available for outside deposits or withdrawals. It will be trade paired with BTC.

1000 total coins will be issued representing the 10% share.

1st round of 500 SBL will be offered at .02 BTC each.

2nd round of 500 SBL will be offered at .025 BTC each.

DIVIDEND DISTRIBUTIONS

Dividends will be distributed proportionally to accounts that hold SBL on a monthly basis, starting in April for March profits. The dividend date is the 5th of the each month.

ROI PROJECTION

Accounting for the exchange profit, ROI is projected to be about 12 months. This takes into account a conservative 10% growth per month.

This will be a trade asset on the exchange. As we expand our exchange in the future, one may realize an ROI earlier then 12 months.

This coin represents an asset in the LLC as whole, not just the exchange.  The LLC has plans to generate income outside the exchange related to the Scifi coins it develops. At this time this includes Federation  Credits (UFC), Klingon Empire Darsek (KED) and Gold Pressed Latinum(GPL).

The LLC may also consider creating other niche exchanges outside of the Scifi theme, or may elect to license our exchange code in the future.

HOW DO WE STACK UP AGAINST THE OTHERS:

1. CoinEX trades it's shares at cryptostocks. It issues 80,000 shares, with only 1676 publicly traded at about  0.04 BTC. This puts their valuation at 3,200 BTC.

2. Cryptsy issued 100,000 stocks, currently traded at .2 BTC. This puts their valuation at 20,000 BTC

3. In comparison, are valuing the LLC at  210 BTC.

Mining with the QT client is very inefficient You will get more hashes per second KH/s MH/s GH/s etc. with the cgminer-alt listed in the guide. http://www.scificryptocoin.org/index.php/how-to-mine/mine-ufc.
 

But if you just want to test it. The QT is CPU only

Open the Console  (Help...Debug window...Console)

Decide how many cores/threads you want to use max should be 1 less than you have. so 3 for quadcore 5 for AMD 6 core etc.

where the number is the cores you want.

you should see something like this

hashespersec" : 452220  is your hashing speed ~450KH/s in this case. networkhashps" : 5026607056 or ~50GH/s is everybody mining UFC so don't expect to get a block for a very long time.

that's why you should join a pool. In a pool you will get a small amount at regular intervals Solo you get nothing unless you find a block.

No.  Some FPGA can get new bitstreams to mine UFC (in theory, don't know if anyone has done it yet) and the OP has links to a CPU/GPU miner. I have my 7770 GPU mining UFC under linux and getting ~925MH/s with some tuning and OC.

Federation Credit  version 2.3 Github has been updated.

There is a much improved Windows version 2.3 on the Google drive now. Same download address.

I am going to call this optional but recommended.

1. Scan animation has been added.

2.Dialog and button style and readability improved.

3. Fixed the verify message bug that prevented closing the dialog. One would need to have the OS force close the client to close the window. This bug effects MANY coins including BTC.

I will add and upload these changes to github for Linux users in a bit.

Between last night and today, I have learned quite a bit more about how the QT tools work and I have some really nice things I want to add to the clients in the future. (Hint: A bit of sound)

Did you put a --blake256 in the cgminer command line or a "blake256" : true, in cgminer.conf?

this makes the special patched cgminer from the OP (Original Post) use the blake algo instead of SHA256 just like  --scrypt  makes it mine scrypt.
