Uptrennd is an online community that pays users to post content.
Users will be paid for creating posts, commenting, sharing content and engaging with sponsored content. The value of these points comes from funneling over 90% of the advertisement revenue directly into the Uptrennd ecosystem.
Uptrennd is an optimized social media platform fusion. Uptrennd will bring blogs, social feeds, videos, music and news to one all-encompassing home. The majority of online platforms permissionlessly profit off of our created content and attention.. Uptrennd is a movement to shift the wealth from corporations to individuals. This ecosystem empowers users to financially thrive through contributing online content.
During the initial growth phase of Uptrennd, the conversation will be primarily focussed around cryptocurrency, blockchain and distributed ledger technology. As the community grows, topics will slowly branch out into a diverse ecosystem across all topics. Uptrennd will be a one-stop-shop for all things crypto. The platform will provide in-depth educational content for absolute beginners to learn about cryptocurrency. Simultaneously, it will also being a comprehensive platform for those experienced to greatly deepen their knowledge. Uptrennd will bring the crypto world to one unified home.
Functionality Example:
John makes an informative post to the “Ethereum” niche on Uptrennd. Steve, Wayne, and Bruce all found value in the post, so they each give John’s post an upvote. John, the content creator, is awarded points for each upvote. These points can then be: redeemed for tokens, used to level-up, redeemed for select promoted placement on the webpage, or spent in the marketplace.
Steve, Wayne and Bruce are all three able to comment on John’s post as well. These comments are also eligible to be upvoted and earn points.
If Steve shares John’s post to his feed and another user upvotes it on Steve’s feed, Steve and John will split the value of the upvote.
Utility of Points:
1. Level-Up
The higher your level, the more points you earn per upvote.
2. Purchase:
a) Advertisement placement in the sidebar
b) One of the two “highlighted posts” in a niche
** 1 point paid = 2 promoted view **
3. Cash out.
Exchange your points for 1UP tokens. 1UP tokens can then be sold on a third party exchange for cash.
2) For Users
a) Tokens can be used to “level up”. Each subsequent level earns you more points per upvote.
Level 1: 1 upvote earned = 1 point
Level 2: 1 upvote earned = 1.2 points
Level 3: 1 upvote earned = 1.4 points
Levelling up:
The amount of points required to reach each subsequent level is an additional 125%
Level 1 - Level 2 = 100 points
Level 2 - Level 3 = Additional 125 points
Level 3 - Level 4 = Additional 156 points
Promoting your Post
1 point for 2 views. Users can choose how much they want to allocate to their promotion. Each page allows for only two promoted posts.

Posting, commenting & upvotes
Every post or comment made rewards the user at least one point. More points per post/comment are rewarded the higher the level a user is.
Every upvote received on a post or comment equals at least one point. More points per upvote are received the higher the level a user is.
Downvotes act exactly as upvotes.
Reposting:
You can repost any post to your personal feed. If another member is following you, it will be displayed in their “Following” tab. When upvotes are received on the post you have reposted, you and the original poster will split the points 50/50. It will still however show as one full upvote on the original post. In the backend, users can see what % of their points are earned from reposting and what % of points is from their own posts.
Donations
In addition to being able to earn points through upvotes, users can earn points through a “donate” button on their post/comment. When a user donates points, those points are then added to the posts upvote total. A comment will be left below in gold writing saying “Jeff has donated 50 points to Steve”. Users can also opt to donate anonymously, in which case it would say: “An anonymous user has donated 50 points to Steve”

Log on to the platform and perform an action (post/upvote) & earn progressively more points every day.

On-site point purchases
Users/Promoters are able to purchase points directly from the platform in $USD/ETH/BTC. Each token costs a minimum of $0.05 on-site. Approximately 90% of this payment will be used to purchase tokens from an exchange. Those tokens will then exit the circulating supply. If at any time the price on third-party exchanges goes above $0.05, the price per token purchased directly on Uptrennd.com will also increase. The cost per point/token on Uptrennd.com will always be at least 10% higher than on exchanges.

Users can earn points by referring new members to Uptrennd.
Promoted articles & videos
Users are able to read sponsored articles and watch sponsored videos for points. Timers on the page will ensure that users are spending sufficient time viewing the promoted content.

Subscribed: Top stories from your subscribed “niches”
Native Video player
Users can upload videos directly to the website and have those videos shared across the internet
Music
Users can upload content directly to Uptrennd, like SoundCloud, and earn rewards from every upvote
Real-time Notifications:
-When a user receives a point, on the bottom left of the screen, a small “up arrow” pops up - -When someone comments on their post “Jeff has commented on your post in X niche” - again small on the bottom left.
- When someone replies to their comment “Jeff has replied to your comment”
Creating your own Niche:
All users can create a niche for 100 points ($5)USD. Niches can be either public, private, or paid subscription.
Monthly & Weekly Contests
Users who earn the most points every month/week receive bonus tokens
Daily, weekly & Monthly leaderboards will be displayed on the home page.
Emblems on profile page saying what leaderboard achievements they've received
Tokenomics:
The initial circulating 1UP token supply will begin below 5 Million, at a starting price of $0.05USD per token as per the on-platform-purchase price. This price will be maintained for one year. Every year, the on-platform-purchase price per token increases by $0.01
Every one billion tokens brought into circulating supply will halve the amount of points per upvote. This will slow the generation of tokens and increase scarcity.
IE:
Once 1B tokens circulating supply is hit, the payout upvote/token will go to 0.9 points per upvote.
Once 2B tokens circulating supply is hit, the payout upvote/token will go to 0.8 points per upvote.
Once 3B tokens circulating supply is hit, the payout upvote/token will go to 0.6 points per upvote.
Once 4B tokens circulating supply is hit, the payout upvote/token will go to 0.5 points per upvote.
Once 5B tokens circulating supply is hit, the payout upvote/token will go to 0.4 points per upvote.
Once 6B tokens circulating supply is hit, the payout upvote/token will go to 0.3 points per upvote.
Once 7B tokens circulating supply is hit, the payout upvote/token will go to 0.2 points per upvote.
Once 8B tokens circulating supply is hit, the payout upvote/token will go to 0.1 points per upvote.
Once 9B tokens circulating supply is hit, the payout upvote/token will go to 0.05 points per upvote.
When advertisers buy points on the website, approximately 90% of the funding is used to buy back 1UP tokens from third party exchanges. These tokens are then taken out of circulation, lowering the supply.
In addition to larger advertisers purchasing on site promotions, users also “spend” points, effectively lowering the circulating supply. This occurs as follows:
a) Spending points to level up their account
b) Spending points to promote their post
c) Spending points at “The Marketplace”
To prevent upvote spam on the network:
The ability for all users on the website to downvote low-quality content will negate any attempt to upvote spam. In addition, there will be a team of moderators to maintain quality-control

The Future
Currently, Uptrennd is a web 2.0 platform that is not built on the blockchain. After Uptrennd builds a strong userbase and sustainability, a large upgrade to be a fully decentralized and on-chain platform will occur. When this occurs, all tokens outside of the circulating supply will be burnt. From that point forwards, tokens will be mined/generated, rather than pre-mined as they currently are.
In addition, Uptrennd will transfer from a central storage of video, data, and media to a decentralized IPFS storage system.
