Another project with a good cause. A few notes from interpretation of your documents and published information:

  • Take note that the arrows on the picture of the first post in the thread is wrong way around for steps 5 and 6 (enterprize side)
  • There is a lot of focus on the staking pool and the rewards that will be earned by people staking. It is not clear what is going to drive the price of the token. Based on the next point there will be a seller pressure
  • It is not clear what the use of the token is going to be apart from facilitating the mechanics. In the end there is going to be a lot of VLR around - VLR being staked, VLR being earned on staking, VLR received by the enterprize being incubated. What will they be able to do with VLR apart from selling it? Even the VLR that goes to the charity bags will have to be converted to USD for on the ground use
  • I can understand that DAO style decisions will be done to select charities, but if VLR holders will also guide the enterprizes being incubated, what will happen if the enterprize management don't agree with the decisions that the stakers recommend as it is not true autonomous decision making. Refer page 9 of whitepaper "While our V1 process relies on direct negotiation of terms with Valer Studios leadership, our vision is for this process to be governed in a fully decentralized manner, allowing VLR token holders to guide all decision-making about the enterprises that best fit within the model".

Wait... What?
Your project tries to fund and guide people with ideas to build and launch their project, but what's your filter and selection method to prevent scammy project? Even bitcointalk are flooded with scam projects everyday (and this forum didn't even fund those people) I don't think you won't face the same issue, if not worse.
Their idea is not bad but they should care for the issue which you brought here. If they got success in filtering the scam project then they will do a very good job for this community especially those who are not scam and have beneficial idea for the blockchain technology.

I'll say their project is ambitious and appealing to cryptospace. If success, they'll bring quite a contribution to cryptospace by broadening the horizon, but I can only imagine the problems they have to tackle to run this project.
