It's always nice to see new Bitcoin tools out there. WalletBit has mobile checkout that functions similar to this, except not only can you receive Bitcoins but we can now also convert them instantly to CAD. I am a Canadian myself and think our solution might be what you are looking for. WalletBit is currently working on a better deal for our BTC->CAD transactions so keep an eye out for that in the future.

Very nice! Will be checking this out very shortly! I love how quickly and easily customized it is for a simple web page, great as said for tablet or phone... The commission % is a nice feature.

Hi all, I'm a long-time lurker.  I've recently launched a website, http://vanbtc.ca/, to promote local bitcoin exchangers and merchants in Vancouver, British Columbia.

I've also built a simple and customizable Point-of-Sale page that anyone can run on a laptop or tablet device to accept bitcoins in their store.  It exchanges from fiat currency, generates a QR code, listens for transactions at the receiving address and displays a notification when payment is received.

Payments made through the page get logged with the exchange rate at the time of sale.  The merchant can see a report of all the payments made to their address by clicking on it.  This allows me to pay them out for all the bitcoins they receive and insulate them from bitcoin market price volatility.

You can see a default Point of Sale page here:  http://vanbtc.ca/calculator
Customize it here: http://vanbtc.ca/setup
And if you want to save the customization under a username with a permanent URL, register here: http://vanbtc.ca/users/new

I haven't implemented email notifications or password resets yet.

The source code for the whole site is available at https://github.com/asoltys/vanbtc.ca

This was my first time programming with NodeJS so if anyone wants to look at it and provide some tips, I'd be grateful.  Please don't count on this service being either secure or available.  If you want me to help you set up something like this on your own server just let me know and I'll be glad to help.

Regards,
Adam Soltys
