Just wanted to add my endorsement for Altmarkets Exchange.

Their process for getting list was fair, fairly priced, and reasonably quick.

Since coming up yesterday, I have sent and received BOOT to their exchange and successfully placed both buy and sell orders.

Their support has been great.

This bring BOOT exposure on Coingeko, Coinpaprika, Blockfolio, Delta, and Coinlore!

Discussion with their support people confirms the site is continuing to evolve, with attention being given to ease-of-use.

They're not nice too long

Version 0.4.2.3 was pushed to Bitbucket this evening.  Its just a maintenance release with another checkpoint record at block 65,536.  I recommend you upgrade for the health of the network, but it is not mandatory.

Source available at https://www.bitbucket.com/ccgllc/Bitcoin-Rebooted.  A Windows 64-bit self extracting file is available in the downloads section there.

In other news, we expect to be up Numex Exchange within a week or so.  BOOT is listed in their front-end now, but they haven't cranked up the wallet yet, so you can't do any deposits:

Being open to ASIC mining can also come with a lot of risk for the network, especially when it is an immature network.

https://micromm.online/market/BTC-BOOT

this exchange it is a crap.
as we can see there is no movement

Well, we are not responsible for the exchange, but as a new coin, things are going pretty much as expected:  People are mining and dumping and surprised nobody is buying.  Take both buyers and sellers to make an exchange work and we are lacking volume buyers.

BISQ might help, once they publish a release supporting up.  Those come out about once every 3 weeks, but with a lot of variance.  One way or another I would expect us to be online with them in January, if not sooner.

NOVAexchange has contacted us, but when comparing notes with other developers, seems they want at least 0.5 BTC to list.  And listing doesn't generate buyers.  Nova "specializes" in alt coins FWIW.

Today we launched a fund drive to raise 0.2 BTC to get listed on Crex24.com.

Please donate any BTC amount you can (dust is appreciated!) to 36LN7hUCeCTBzFuTCP4cDBifKcRWPT7e9J

All fund will go towards getting BOOT listed on Crex24 and other exchanges should folks be especially generous.

Or go to http://micromm.online  and buy BOOT with BTC.  I have placed 10,000 BOOT for sale at 0.00002 BTC each.  The proceeds will go to the Exchange fund drive.

Progress can be monitored via https://blockexplorer.com/address/36LN7hUCeCTBzFuTCP4cDBifKcRWPT7e9J

Thank you!

you have to put coin in more markets because micromm.online is very weak and you will not disclose while you are only dependent on this exchange ....

A) You have never asked
B) We do not control exchanges.
C) If you read the entire thread, you would know that we have applied at several other exchanges, have Pull Request in for Bisq, and worked with flame.exchange (coming back up) in the past

QED:  There is no conspiracy to be dependent on just one exchange.  It takes time and consumer demand to get listed on more than one, and often significant BTC (rumored that getting listed on the largest exchanges can cost upward of 100 BTC).

Hi. You may be right but I've already been to micromm.online exchange and I do not see the coin because?

Investigating now.

Update:  Per micromm's website, they are now charging for listing.  I'm on their Discord channel talking with them now.

Update 2:  I'll pay their base listing fee (0.01 BTC) so that we will have one live exchange.  It looks like BISQ accepted our application, so expect to be live there after their next refresh comes out (typically a few weeks).  Have fingers crossed for Poloniex.  Also mining with my L3s to try and raise enough GIO to get listed on Gravio - but that will take over a month to raise (PM me if you care to donate GIO).

This is NOT a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain, this is a fork of the Bitcoin sourcecode and utilizes the SHA256 hash algorithm so can be ASIC mined

Hello, I have my coins all in flame.exchange and this ofline, how do I know it was not an exchange that disappeared Huh

Suggest asking on their Discord channel.  I noticed AtomicLemon is still responding there.  https://discord.gg/JVzK8p

For the record: I posted about flame.exchange having problems shortly after I noticed that fact on Twitter, here, the other forum, and yanked it from the main website.  We are not associated except via them listing our coin, but did what I could to get the word out.

Good luck with the exchanges.  Things sure have changed with exchanges over the years.  In my research most exchanges with any volume want $$$ for a listing.

That they do.  I blame it on ICOs and the related availability of big money.

Just released version 0.2.4.1.  It is just a maintenance release with two features:  Another checkpoint record was added, and a patch to the source that allows for building with older versions of Libevent.

In other news: As of this writing we have about 2.5 PH of miners working on Bitcoin Rebooted, we represent about 1% of that.

Its maybe a minor milestone, but the number of coins in circulation are now more than double what was pre-mined prior to announcing on November 4th.

Please follow us on Twitter, the publicity helps.  https://twitter.com/BRebooted

Worked out a few link kinks and have at least (2) public pools now.  Great conversation over on Discord https://discord.gg/srXW6fJ.  Appears we have about a PH of mining currently going on.   (And that is NOT us propping up the coins, we only have about 22Th pointed at it).

Please keep the questions coming and help get the word out.

Expect a minor release bump soon to add another checkpoint record.

Thanks for adding me and thanks for launching the coin, I really like this bit of your announcement:

Segwit support has been removed from the original source tree - we don't believe in it and feel it punishes miners via reduced transaction fees

My (somewhat uneducated) understanding of Bitcoin with block halving and transaction fees is that as the block reward to miners drops the transaction fees were meant to supplement/reward miners instead, a transition from block rewards paying for securing the network to transaction fees supporting the network. You obviously already know this but would just like to put it out there for people who do not realize this.

Its also really nice to see another coin with some technical expertise behind it instead of the 101 clones where the 'devs' don't understand the code they are deploying.

We appreciate your comments!  Thank you.  The website FAQ talks about this a bit more, but we have been in the Bitcoin ecosystem since early 2014.  There is a lot to learn, and we don't claim to know it all by any means - but we felt we had enough expertise to get this effort underway.

Oh, your "somewhat uneducated" comment is dead on.

block 7000!!!! you could have easily mined on testnet for testing and done a reboot. but 7K X 50 coins = 35000 coins as premine!

You slipped a digit... closer to 200,000 coins.  The coin was announced around block 3900 and mined by non-developers shortly thereafter.  Check the Twitter posts for a history.  With a maximum coin supply of 268,234,500 coins, that represents less than 1/10th of 1% of the coin supply.

As stated on the website, we did in fact spend months (over 1000 hours) testing on -testnet prior to starting mining on Mainnet.  But there is no way to generate valid checkpoint records on mainnet via testnet.  This was a small compromise to insure some chain stability.

link to github? I dont see a source posted here or on the site.
the downloads page link gives to a 404 error... Though I wouldnt ever recommend anyone to blindly download from a random website either.

Added to the announcement, thanks.

FYI:  Source link is also on the Download page on the coins website - but your point about random websites is 100% valid.

Download link fixed.

Been mining with a GekkoScience 2Pac for a couple days.

OP contributed to one-minute fork and new DAA for BitcoinCore $BTCC.
He’s the real deal.

Announcing the new Bitcoin Rebooted coin

Coin Details

Ticker: BOOT
Algorithm: SHA256
Block Reward: 50 BOOT
Block Time: 150 Seconds
Block Maturity: 100 Blocks
PoW Reward: 50 BOOT
Difficulty Retargeting: New Fuzzy Effect Wave DAA
Premine: 200K BOOT (about a weeks worth)
Total Supply: 268,234,500 BOOT (50 years of mining)
Website: https//www.bitcoin-rebooted.xyz
Hashtag: #GettheBOOT

This is a "soft launch".  We have been internally developing and testing since July of 2018.  The coins tests out.  The DAA has been extensively tested (over a 1000 hours).  We have had the website publicly available for close to a month.  An explorer went online two weeks ago.  We have an experimental yiimp pool that appears to be up and running, but no promises there - pool operation is not our forte, others are coming online to do that job right.

So what is Bitcoin Rebooted?  Well, you can read an overview (or everything you would ever want to know about it in the coin details tab) at:  https://www.bitcoin-rebooted.xyz

Here is a bit more detail:

This is NOT a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain, this is a fork of the Bitcoin sourcecode and utilizes the SHA256 hash algorithm so can be ASIC mined

The blockchain has been restarted with a new genesis key, magic numbers, etc.

Block reward is 50 coins per block, which decreases by 1 coin per year per block.  So 50 years of mining, and no major penalty if your late to the game (at least for the next dozen or two years)

Block time target is 2.5 minutes, just like Litecoin.  Minimum blocktime is 2 seconds, 20 seconds if the block is empty (to discourage mining of such)

Block maximum size is 16mb

The DAA is all new code, dubbed "Fuzzy Effect Wave" and has a few special features, like "cliff" detection to prevent super long blocks that impact many alt-coins when profit-switching pools leave

Segwit support has been removed from the original source tree - we don't believe in it and feel it punishes miners via reduced transaction fees

There has been no ICO, there will be no airdrops, there have been no special partners that benefited early

The blockchain was mined by the developers for the first week in order to establish some checkpoint records to help reduce the chance of early forking.  Announcements then went out via another popular forum and shortly thereafter a pool came online:

https://twitter.com/BRebooted/status/1059168270597718016

What do we consider a "soft launch"?  Announcing there first to get a few folks to help confirm everything was stable for a broader audience.  Now announcing here for a wider audience.   Once a broader infrastructure is in place (bigger network, more pools, hopefully an exchange or two) we will publicize the coin more via other outlets.   Of course, the source code is available and a Windows wallet installation program is available - just hop over to the coin website for those.   e..g.  Not a lot of fan-fare, just public awareness.  We are not in this as a "get rich quick" scheme, but rather for the long haul.  If this takes a year or three, so be it.
