New coins have been added to our list of CPU mineable cryptocurrencies: https://www.hostero.eu/cpu-mineable-coins.

We recently added the following coins:

  • Gulden (NLG)
  • Seele (SEELE)
  • Pegnet (PEG)
  • Bytecoin (BCN)
  • Magi (XMG)
  • Sugarchain (SUGAR)

Monero has switched to RandomX and so has Hostero. The new mining algo is ASIC and GPU ressistant as well as impossible to run on botnets. If you have Monero miners, Hostero is going to make the update automatically for you.

You can see more information here: https://www.hostero.eu/coins/monero

We added Monero on our platform. You can now start mining XMR on Hostero: https://www.hostero.eu/coins/monero Grin

Check out the miner here: https://hub.docker.com/r/morion4000/xmrig

Hostero is essentially a wrapper, it runs the official miner of the coins, in a Docker container.

The official miner of the coin is in the wallet. Does your docker image contain wallets, making the docker
image a GUI front end to manage a bunch of wallets running on the user's computer?

Managing multiple wallets is not for newbies no matter how much you try to make it look easy.

If you're serious, a wallet manager would be a good product but not as a docker image full of your
selection of coin wallets. It should be a regular program using a web server interface or a custom
GUI front end. In the back end the user should be able to install any wallet they choose.

This would not be for newbies because newbies use online wallets or exchanges instead of installling
a wallet for every coin the they mine. Only coin geeks do that.

Thank you for the suggestions. The docker images do not contain wallet software at the moment. Wallet management is done entirely by the user.

One of the milestones is to have integrated wallet management into Hostero, and possibly host own mining pool(s), so that users don't have to leave the app.

This looks quite interesting, good luck with your project. Lots of people asking about cpu mining nowadays and this looks like one of the easiest solution for that people.

XNV and XLS are not yet mineable on the platform. Coins that can be mined on the platform at the moment, have a Start Mining button next to them - https://www.hostero.eu/cpu-mineable-coins. Hostero is essentially a wrapper, it runs the official miner of the coins, in a Docker container.

Banano is not mineable like the rest of the coins from the list (with a POW algo), however it uses a similar principle, renting CPU power for rewards.

What I do not understand how you can engage in mining XNV or XLS using a another miner? If it's coins for solo mining. You must have a blockchain on your computer. In addition, with your miner mining is allowed in the pool for these coins. But they can not be extracted in the pool. This is weird. And how did the banano get to you? This coin cannot be mined at all. It is distributed for participation in medical calculations. There is no "Folding@Home"algorithm. I will ask the developers of XNV and banano in discord what they will say about your miner.

This thread smells really bad.

First red flad: newbie

Second red flag: a registered account is required

Third red flag: closed source software

Fourth red flag: no description of what the product actuallly is or does, just marketing doublespeak.

Fifth red flag: slick marketing targetting aimed directly at newbies

Sixth red flag: instructions to enter cryptic commands without disclosing they download and install software

Seventh red flag: BS claims about being CPU only and about a "universal miner".

...

Thank you for the feedback. I am not active on this forum. I am in the process of updating the text on the website to make it more accurate. I would appreciate if you have any feedback in regards to the content of the website.

Thank you for the feedback!

We can gather more information about the coins, however, for the time being, it's restricted to information paramount to the mining process. In the near future more and more information is going to be shown for each coin.

Starting next week, we are going to start a campaign to add a new coin on Hostero each week, stay tuned for updates!

There are some coins which allow mining in the browser, you can check out https://webdollar.io for browser mining.

I tried your service.
In this connection, I have some thoughts-add more coins, and add information on coins.
Too little information-exchange, researcher, and so I had to look it all up on some coins.
And if you succeed-do mining in the browser.

A lot of things have happened since our last update. We have been busy working on adding new coins, ramping up marketing, and implementing new tools to help our miners be more efficient.

Here is what we were up to:

this is .... an interesting idea

i can tell you have put some work in here, im just trying to figure out if i would ever need it myself

CPU only, do people have THAT many CPUs that need 24/7 monitoring? Tongue i suppose some people do haha

idk if i like the idea of you controlling my cpu tho, but im paranoid Tongue as  most people are gonna install your docker image on their main pc as vm can be finiky mining some cpu algos i find (sketchy imo)

also, newbie dev/account, so ZERO accountability if shit goes sideways :/

Good luck on your project! i wont be installing this shit tho myself yet haha

There are people with farms with old HP servers churning away. In China, they buy them by the pound. I have talked with people that have Ryzen farms as well. There are some people that mine with cloud servers.

The Docker images are open-source: https://hub.docker.com/u/morion4000/

Thank you for the feedback, we have only recently started ramping up marketing.

That's interesting cuz you could do also, dual mining due webdollar POS (proof of stake) implementation. So, mine webdollar with a few resources and use your CPU power for other coins or/and webdollar POW (proof of work) http://dashboard.hostero.eu.

Webdollar open source project - https://github.com/WebDollar

Great Job!

Thank you! You can check out the WebDollar POS mining tutorial here: https://www.hostero.eu/docs/webdollar-pos-mining

Meet Hostero, a mining software
for CPU mineable cryptocurrencies

Start mining cryptocurrency in a few minutes. Mine the most profitable coins and unlock the full potential of your mining rigs.

Manage your miners from one Dashboard

Stop wondering about your devices
All of your devices in one interface, complete with charts and statistics.

Never worry again if they are mining
See all the miners deployed, check the status, delete, and re-deploy them.

Miner configurations done right
Settings that apply to all miners, and individual ones.

Monitor everything
You can view real-time and historical charts with your miners and servers, as well as aggregated metrics.

Universal CPU Miner

Easy to get started
Using our Universal Miner, you can start mining over 10 cryptocurrencies, in a matter of minutes, on any number of devices.

Quick Installation
Install the Universal Miner in a few simple steps on any number of devices. Once installed, you can deploy any coin.

Easy Deployment
Deploy a miner with just a few clicks from our interface. You can also automatically deploy miners when a device is added to the cluster.

Real-time Logs
You can see logs from each miner and device in real-time, complete with hashrate information. Debug your miners in a few seconds.

Directory with CPU Mineable Coins

We compiled a directory with cryptocurrencies that can be mined with CPU. The coins on the directory are eventually all going to be available on the platform. Hostero is gradually adding new coins and always looking for coins that are launched recently.

Installation Instructions

Requirements

  • Internet connection
  • Ubuntu 16.04 or 18.04
  • Docker 17.06
  • 4 GB Storage
  • 4 GB RAM

Run this command in the Terminal
Hostero requires Docker to work. The installer will install Docker as well.

Code:
curl https://www.hostero.eu/install | sh
