Totally agree! I'm both surprised at and glad for the low prices - just managed to snatch up 1000 DRK and set up my first masternode. Those 1000 DRK aren't getting dumped anytime soon, and I'm already saving up for masternode #2. The masternode system is genius I think - reward those invested in the network, while incentivize holding 1000s of coins - a lot of thought has obviously gone into this.
I have no interest in putting down other coins - good luck to all anon players, and may the best coin win - but I'm betting on DRK for the long haul.
I see what's happening now as a really good redistribution of available coins...

I believe that there is just too many coins that people are throwing btc at. When you go to one of the cheesy threads titled
Which alt coin will win anonymity?, there were over 30 odd coins of promised anonymity when of that 3-4 only have a realistic shot. Anonymity has become THE feature only because of the insane price increase that dark had. The shitty 'anon' alts are just stealing the btc from those dreaming of a dark like rise. Every new anon coin comes out and brings with it the seductive charm and hope of what has happened here. Everyone wants to be a part of that meteoric rise and so they gamble on the 'next best thing'. Now, not all are shit but this is not the thread for that, however, there is only so much btc out there right now and it is flowing everywhere but to established or semi established coins. I don't know how many of you remember right before btc took off in November but it felt like most of the alts were dieing. Quark was <200 sat, ifc dieing, etc,. BTC jumped and literally pulled all the alts with it. I believe something similar is happening. I believe we are having a slight pull in or stagnation in alts just before the boom.
Yup and the next fad is coins that are made to have applications on the blockchain such as viacoin and ethereum. Although that is a cool feature but I don't know how much it will be used in the future.
