Finally made the decision to convert my Litecoin into Doges! I felt a little nervous at first but after looking through this community and all the others that have been built around Doge I thought to myself that if I was going to lose money on a crypto I'd rather it be Doge than any other.
In fact, when I was first looking into Doge I was doing so as a speculative investment, I thought it had potential to produce very fast capital gains for myself and I was going to sell out entirely after making a boatload of cash. As I researched more and more I found myself growing much more light hearted and less serious about the entire thing. I have never seen an online community thats more wholesome in my life. Eventually I found that I no longer wanted to invest in order to "get rich quick" but rather that I wanted to invest in the idea of the coin and community. If I make money, great, but my plans for any potential profits have changed. For one I dont think I'll ever sell all of my doges. Any gains I do make on them I now plan on donating a large amount towards a charity of some sort that I have yet to determine.
I can't help but feel excited to finally be a part of a coin with a fun culture. Even if the market crashes 1 Doge = 1 Doge and I know there will be plenty of shibes like myself who I can tip and trade with no matter what. I hope doge gains track this year in 2018 because I'm boarding the ship to the moon with all you wholesome shibes. Much wow, such happiness, many coins, TO THE MOON!

 The Doge price has been bounced in recent days. Is it still potential for investment? Might be it can reach at the old peak of 272 satoshi when BTC price come back 20.000$.

You especially do not think! It is sometimes harmful. Just purchase. Then you will be delighted.

Doge have potential. From its start doge made just 40x till today. In compare the ETH is more than 800x from start.
Think about.

the level of optimism in this thread can´t be compared to anything else. Doge is reaching new USD highs. But 1$ is more than unrealistic

I've received a lot requests to change the supply cap (removing the 10k static block rewards), which I strongly disagree with. Others want to change PoW algo and do other things all in an attempt to try and drive up the price. If you change any of these things, it's not Dogcoin imo.

RBF is awkward in as much as I don't like it, but I have to accept that it makes economic sense (and miners will patch their clients if we don't enable it). The main drawback to RBF is it makes zero confirmation transactions even less safe, but with 1 minute block times I'd rather we discourage zero-conf transactions anyway. No firm plans, I don't want to make it default, but there's no point in us keeping it opt-in then discovering all the miners are modding their clients.
0 fee transactions - I'm not planning on changes to the fee costs, but also am not quite sure what went into 1.10 without checking the code. I know we had problems with transaction spam and I'm trying to remember if this was sacrificed to fix that :-/
SegWit may be in 1.15, mostly for the transaction malleability fixes, but also so we maintain compatibility with Bitcoin/Litecoin for anyone building services on them.
Compact blocks - yup. I need to make a pre-release checklist, so I can add testing them to the list, but absolutely would expect to see this in 1.14.
RPC - I'd be crushed in getinfo goes because I use it day to day myself, as a nice summary of state. getrawtransaction I think is being changed for performance reasons, though, so that is likely to follow Bitcoin Core. However they've said if you maintain a transaction index, it'll still work as currently, so that should be fine? Fee estimation is fairly new, so I'd presume anyone using that is still maintaining their code. Any I've missed?

P.S. The main issue with SegWit is the default mechanism for enabling it breaks AuxPoW. So there's some questions to resolve there, first, basically.

There has been active development to make a new wallet release for v1.14; currently in the form as pull requests. currently 10 tickets closed and 6 tickets open for milestone 1.14

dev team need to come back! rebuilt a  new wallet for community! maybe add some function like Tor  or MasterNode or something else!

Good point there. From the comments over the years, it seems there were a lot of Doge traders that buy it when it's low and sell after a little 2% bump, who got used to this type of strategy. But in 2017 there has been a lo t of new interest and money coming to crypto, so I think that a lot of the supply that was only being traded back and forth on exchanges is now held and used by people who actually believe in Doge as a world currency. Looking at sell orders on Polo and Bittrex, just recently there used to be around 8% of the Doge supply between the two, and now this number has dropped by more than half to around 3.8%.

no, it should go up now, so those who sold will not be able to load up low and sell next time    there will be much less resistance to rising price if the sellers stay out   

Hard to say atm, but what we do know is doge has had 400% profit from the 15 sats low it was, and has retraced 13% from this last high of 74. It's anybody's guess where we're headed next.
