5 FBTC or a range of 0.00000010 BTC per hour. I hope you can upgrade your faucet for first users. LOL
I like to start out slow and then speed up. It's better than getting in over your head too fast and distributing all the coins to a robot rather than a user interested in cryptocurrency.
I thought the 5 FBTC was appropriate because that's what the original FreeBitcoins faucet gave that Gavin ran.
Big difference between Gavins and this, is that FBTC has 1,000,000,000 tokens and Bitcoin has 21,000,000.
Also, we have the ability to print more FBTC if we wanted. We don't have any intentions of doing this, but obviously we would if it was what was best for the project (refilling faucet, etc).
For the signature campaign, how will you allocate the rewards? Are allocations calculated using stakes, or using other means?
I don't have any plans of using any of the tokens directly to be used for signature campaigns, definitely sell the FBTC and use the Bitcoins. I think signatures campaigns on Bitcointalk should be paid in Bitcoin.
That being said, the company does have some Free Bitcoins Tokens for sale on our market. I'm not 100% sure what those will go to, but I can imagine that after we complete building the infrastructure for FBTC (staking and decetralized exchange options with liquidity and more liquidity on our own centralized exchange) then using Bitcoins on Bitcointalk is very likely.
Thanks for the ANN and providing the information concerning the Faucet etc...
I figured "Fuck it, if you can't beat them, join them!"
so this is our learning token!
It certainly makes giving users free coins via the faucet easier and cheaper for us. Also, having the network secured by ETH is a good deal too.
I was just wondering if there is any plans to enable a pay to 0x... feature whereby tokens amassed are paid out directly at regular intervals (e.g. weekly) as opposed to having to accumulate on site, then transfer off?
This is a pretty requested feature. I'm well aware that FreeBitco.in offers withdrawals like this and users love it.
The answer to this question is yes. The specifics... I don't know. Will it be totally free, will it be weekly, will the account need to have a certain number of FBTC Tokens to enable it... I don't know!
FBTC will never be a security or offer ownership to the company or FreeBitcoins.com, but it may provide perks such as the perks mentioned above. There is also some debate that we could offer buy-back programs as well. There are a lot of tools and we are just now learning day by day. Obviously, people could just dump their free coins, buy a coin like Clamcoin and withdraw via blockchain pretty much right away after a few faucet hits.
We are open to ideas and suggestions!!! It's a community effort in my opinion.
Are there any plans to list on other exchanges?
I hope so!!!! I'm hoping that the people who faucet or buy FBTC will ask exchanges that list ETH tokens if they will add our token.
I'd really like to see some casinos and such accept FBTC as well.I want to see FBTC widely accepted, but it seems there is plenty of more work on my end to go before we get taken seriously by other individuals... What's new right?
Other exchanges will profit from traders arbing and having their exchange listed on FreeBitcoins.com (we are happy to link with dofollows!)
I'm going to email websites that list prices for FreeBitcoins already like
https://www.coinlore.com/exchange/freebitcoins -
https://coinpaprika.com/exchanges/freebitcoins/ -
https://coinpare.io/exchange/freebitcoins -
https://coincodex.com/exchange/xchange/ - and other websites hopefully this week. I will post them on the Original Post here as we get added.
This is how it looks! Figure out yourself.
Yep that's our FBTC/BTC market on
https://altquick.com/market/FreeBitcoinsTokenThere are currently 369,989,043 FBTC for sale on the open markets up to 5sats and 499,993,335 FBTC in the faucet.
Feel free to ask any questions here. There are also a few FreeBitcoins youtube videos floating around.
