Pretty much settled that without active team and strong community support, tokens will either be a dead coin or a mere PnD, and this token didn't have both. Maybe it'll be best to stop commenting back to this thread and let it die, so there won't be any more people fell to this project by reading the bump

Although it's closely related, a dead token can never be traded anymore as it's value near zero, hovering on 1 sat. I didn't watch this token's price anymore, so I don't know about its current state, but judging from your previous post about its fluctuating price, I would advise to leave when you still can (and yes, losing on its way). As the dev is nowhere to be found, I don't see how the price will improve, except if he miraculously reappear with mind blowing updates.

Building blockchain, let's be honest here, is said to be very difficult. But with these lack of updates from dev, this project is as better as dead. I would guess that it is an one man project, and for such ambitious aim (to built their own blockchain) it's definitely the wrong decision. Their jargon is "powered by community" and so far, I didn't see any of its community.

I'm a lifelong advocate of JavaScript for many reasons and have followed a few developers progress in this area ever since my introduction to the world of cryptocurrency a few years ago. First it couldnt be done, then it was never going to be a project worth monetizing...if it were a simple matter of programming and templates as many coins are, we would be flooded with JS coin by now.
Patience is a virtue but so is timeliness. Ill keep an eye on JS however if anyone was not aware, there is solid development in JSE and they are scheduled to ICO July 11 I believe.

Why I think this coin needs to get off coinmarketcap. We can't allow people to get hurt or waste time on this misoperation.
It is not nice to have no updates, and no development updates!
- No - Depository on JS github for months.
- No twitter activity or other social media.
Project is abandoned...

I'm not (and never was) affiliated in any way with JSChain. I don't know anything more than you guys. I can only assume... As for activity - I definitely wouldn't mind more frequent updates, but I'm patient. Some others are probably not and there we have some fake hype for someone to fill his/her high sell orders.
If you look at the previous posts of Ontological0, Locker5000 and RickJansen - you'll see those are very likely different accounts of the same person as same comments are just copied between accounts. I assume somebody overbought and is now willing to manage the risk by selling... or willing to dump completely. Generating fake hype is a nice way to make someone buy high priced sell orders. I don't know about you guys, but I'm keeping my buy orders low. I feel there might be a solid dump soon.

Existence of a team is mentioned in first post here. One can chose to believe in it or not. I cannot claim with certainty that the team exists, but I choose to believe that is does. As for that live progress of coding as it happens... that is not realistic to expect. I checked the html code behind that "project development process in real time" element and it looks like it is a terminal-like frame for announcing completion of major milestones. It could probably be named/implemented more appropriately to avoid confusion, but I choose not to take it as a sign of bad intentions... also, although used English is good, they are probably non-native English speakers, so that may be a factor as well (maybe Russians as the author of the whitepaper is named "Aнacтacия" using "WPS Office Cooбщecтвo" + website uses hosting intended for Russian speakers only: TimeWeb Ltd., Saint-Petersburg, Russian Federation). Again, one can choose to believe in what is written or not. I choose to believe.

Implemented SHA-512 mining algorithm would mean, from what I understand, ASIC resistance (at least for now), quantum resistance... and, of course, CPU mining friendliness = appropriate for monetizing websites. And that is only one potential usage scenario... I'm wondering what hash rate will different CPUs give.
I found this list and it may indicate how JSChain CPU mining should perform across various architectures: https://bench.cr.yp.to/impl-hash/sha512.html. Ancient 32bit CPUs should have awful performance, but nobody should be using that these days anyway...
"Proof of transaction" mining is an interesting concept as well. Only coin I know that uses it is FlutterCoin...
All in all, I'm optimistic about this project.

Is any part of the testing process intended to be open to the public before final blockchain release in Q2... maybe, at some stage, testing of browser mining open to public?And are you forking (and modifying) Nimiq or is this project starting from zero? I'm asking this as Nimiq is also written in Javascript + implemented browser mining. I see many similarities like, for example, flexible tuning of mining power(CPU load). (...also, Nimiq seems like something that may be successfully forked in the future.)
EDIT: Just realized it will probably be based to some extent on ethereum code.
