Milestones
LBTC completed the development of the SGS (Spark Governance System).
After the SGS integration, the first proposal has been successfully passed and implemented on LBTC chain. The proposal suggested: [Remove the block high data before the fork, and forbid claiming the remaining LBTC by bitcoin holders]. At present, LBTC has completed the upgrade according to the content of the proposal. On October 11, 2018, LBTC officially entered a new era!

Tech progress
SGS launch;
LBTC main network upgrade according to the passed motion;
Update the Full-node wallet and Light wallet to the latest versions v2.0.0 and v0.1.0.;
Upgrade of the mobile wallet.

Full-node wallet
Single address mode:
One wallet corresponding to one address, and only one address of the coin can be used for each transaction. Before update one wallet was corresponding multi-address mode. After the update, the operation page of the wallet client is more concise, efficient, and more user-friendly.
Forging node algorithm modification:
The forging node algorithm is updated. Under the new algorithm, the order of forging nodes is more random, what is further reducing the risk of human manipulation.
Delete old data:
According to the passed proposal old data was deleted and code was modified. Removed the block high data before the fork, claiming remaining LBTC is not possible.

Light wallet

Switch to single address mode, i.e. wallet only generates one address

Mobile wallet

Android wallet development test;
1. completed the forging node registration, voting, cancellation transaction signature and corresponding bug fixes;
2. solved the problem of sending signatures for forged node coinbase transaction;
3. optimised the consolidation, storage and unspent calculation of historical transaction data;
4. modify the tested user interaction and other bugs.

Announcement
LBTC chain governance voting results released
During this month of integrating on-chain governance, LBTC community members actively joined the board and issued three proposals.
Proposal 1: Lower the threshold of the node and adjust the number of user votes to 21 votes
Proposal 2: Remove the block high data before the fork, and prohibit the claiming of LBTC
Proposal 3: Implement Dynamic Fees System
As for the afternoon of September 30, thousands of addresses participated in the voting on the chain governance proposal. The final proposal was voted on and became the final proposal.

LBTC main network upgrade on October 10
The LBTC upgraded the main network on October 10 and completed the upgrade on October 11. The latest version of the wallet can now be downloaded from the official website.

Pay attention to these changes:
1) The original node data will be cleared before the upgrade, so the original node needs to be re-registered and voted after the update is completed.
2) This upgrade will update light wallet corresponding multi-address mode in the old version to a single-address wallet, and only one address can be used for transactions.

On October 11, 2018, Lightning Bitcoin has entered a new era!  Upgrade of LBTC main network has been successfully completed, as well as the latest versions of Full-node and Light wallets.  After the integration of the SGS system, the first proposal [Remove the block high data before the fork and prohibit the claiming of the remaining LBTC] has been completed.

According to proposal, mainnet upgrade initiated modifications in LBTC network thus impacting in changes of the following aspects:

1.After the upgrade, and termination of LBTC claiming. What is the current LBTC circulation of the?
According to the Block Explorer:http://explorer.lbtc.io:9334/blockinfo?param=1&from=search
The current LBTC circulation can be estimated around 3590926 LBTC.

2.What is the current total amount of LBTC?
The existing circulation + un-claimed coins (3590926+3690000 = 7280926)

3.What is the total amount of LBTC to be forged?
The remaining forging amount cycles are consistent with Bitcoin blockchain.

4.What is the reward for each block of LBTC now?
0.0625LBTC.

5.How can I get the transaction data created prior the network upgrade?
Currently, the official block explorer provides the transaction data only after the upgrade. For checking “prior-upgrade” transaction data visit Last Explorer https://last-explorer.lbtc.io/

6.Is there any other important information I should know about this network upgrade?
- Light wallet has been updated from multi-address mode to the single-address mode. After the upgrade, original wallet with imported private key and multi-address addresses will be converted into multiple wallets. We recommend sending coins from multiple addresses into one address and then imported into the new wallet.

- The original node data will be cleared before the upgrade, forging nodes need to be re-registered and reelected.

Feel free to ask any questions regarding the network upgrade at the official LBTC forum: http://chat.lbtc.io.

LBTC Network upgrade embark a new development stage of the project! Let us look forward to the new direction that SGS brings to LBTC! Thanks to all community members, cooperative exchanges and cooperation wallets for their support on this important stage of LBTC development!

LBTC on-chain governance — Spark Governance System (2)

For sustainability, every successful blockchain project should be able to adopt and change in the ongoing social environment. The SGS (Spark Governance System) of LBTC, which is an on-chain governance system, was designed to provide Lightning Bitcoin with that ability for a stronger vitality.

LBTC on-chain governance system — SGS

“Lightning” in Lightning Bitcoin symbolises not only the lightning speed of LBTC transactions, but also the desire that LBTC will illuminate the existing payment and remittance field bringing a brighter future.

As lightning large-scale sparks, the spark in the SGS system (Spark Governance System) will have enough power to shake the world. In Lightning Bitcoin Network, sparks represent a proposal from the community. Unlike the conservative governance concept of Bitcoin, LBTC will have the foundation to rapidly develop and accept the necessary technological improvements by implementing a complete on-chain governance (SGS system).

A clear decentralization framework prevents defects caused by early-stage projects focusing on under-chain governance, such as community fragmentation. The sub-chain governance has been proven to be unstable, the inconsistency of community opinions leads to permanent splitting in the chain. The creation of future proposals governance will promote the better decentralization of Lightning Bitcoin project.

Voting process

On-chain governance process

On-chain governance implies that the LBTC Community have a right to submit proposals and push it through the community referendum. This gives the community both voting rights and the right to participate in the project management.

There are two kinds of auditing mechanisms:

Start initial review of proposals → find problems →publish them to the community;
Publish the proposal to the community → ask questions and vote on the options.
The two review mechanisms both involve committee members in the process so to balance the rights. This process is not currently added in the initial release since there are not many of proposals in the early stages of the project.

[Rules] On-chain governance

Roles division

  • LBTC Holder: owner of LBTC Network Rights;
    Forging node: responsible for network stability, not involved in governance;
    Committee member: responsible for network block parameters, participation in governance;
    Proposer: the role is open for the entire community, anyone in the community has the right to make a proposal;
    Executive developer: responsible for the implementation of the proposal and the development of the new budget through the project.

Fees
  • The entire voting process and its results will be recorded on the LBTC blockchain, and will cost 0.01 LBTC per vote;
    Committee member registration fee is 1 LBTC;
    A proposal submission fee is 3 LBTCs.

    Proposal approval
    The proposal needs to reach the required threshold and the total number of votes;
    The proposal should contain multiple-choice options, (including the form of judgment questions, Yes or No).

For example, Yes is required to account for more than 60% of the total, and the total number of votes must be 300,000.
* This number of votes is based on the number of votes of the current mining node. In the future, it may be adjusted accordingly. The purpose of the adjustment is only to make the voting situation more reasonable.

How to submit a proposal
Check the Light wallet and the Full-node wallet on-chain governance tutorial here:
https://medium.com/lightning-bitcoin-blog/tutorial-lbtc-light-wallet-and-full-node-wallet-on-chain-governance-instructions-e955a3e92f1a

  • After the proposal is submitted, it is necessary to keep it updated till the end of the community referendum.
    Once the proposal is passed, it will be implemented by the LBTC team. In the future, the proposal will be fully completed through the contract execution.

Outlook
Decentralization has always been the main goal of Lightning Bitcoin, and on-chain governance is an promising step to achieve it. LBTC is aiming to create a community-based project that would provide sufficient basement for decentralization.

Looking into the future, we desire to create an ecosystem that uses technology-based democracy to serve the society.

A Letter to The LBTC Community,

The price of bitcoin is proportional to the number of users, the number of merchants accepted, and the number of transactions. In a simpler language, “Transaction generates value”. Any software needs to be updated and upgraded. In order to solve bitcoin’s network congestion issue, the community has two different approaches: BCH, which is led by big miners, and Lightning Network, which is led by Bitcoin Core. Even though BCH experienced a major surge since its birth, the BCH community is currently facing a hard fork situation due to lack of consensus. Similarly, Bitcoin also experienced a major price drop because Lightning Network failed to reach wide adoption.

LBTC was born under this environment. LBTC adopts DPoS consensus mechanism, which allows voting and bookkeeping rights remain separated within the LBTC ecosystem in order to prevent any potential community split. However, adopting DPoS is only the very first step. LBTC has also been facing many problems of its own. In the past few months, there were two major ways to solve these problems: one way was to solve the problems directly which led to centralization issue; the other way was to build a decentralized decision-making system, which we believe it’s very important. We believe that a blockchain project’s moat is irreversibility and decentralization. Thus, we have picked decentralized governance approach which is a road less travelled. We are actively developing the on-chain governance system, which will make LBTC a decentralized, sustainable, and self-ruling currency.

Currently, the initial version of LBTC on-chain governance system has completed. In the future, through the LBTC on-chain governance system, all the important technical parameters, such as block size, block time, project expenditure and development direction, will be voted by the whole LBTC community and implemented right after. Solving problems while promoting decentralization has always been our main goal. A centralized blockchain does not make sense. Also, a cryptocurrency that nobody use also does not create any value. On-chain governance and self-amending have always been LBTC's development goals, which also represent Blockchain’s future direction.

In the end, I hope that everybody contribute to the LBTC ecosystem and participate in the on-chain governance system. You are welcome to check the LBTC forum and join the related discussions. LBTC’s future will be much more brighter with all your support and contributions! Let’s make a concerted effort!

Yours,
Jack Zhang

Why LBTC it's a bad choice?

2.7kk for founder 4th February.

LBTC team took coins from inactive addresses to establish ecosystem, establish legal framework, and give reward to the community is a well-known fact that we never try to hide, and this part of coin is only 12% of the whole. Comparing to other projects, 12% is a really low number.

  • Founder selling LBTC on DigiFinex exchange. Proof address: 13YWwD4qREqjfeVpR32wY2CMVcErnV42iS. https://explorer.lbtcscan.io/address/13YWwD4qREqjfeVpR32wY2CMVcErnV42iS coins coming to this address – from fork and send to main exchange wallet (1mJy5UcfLeWxSWWDtpFKPvDoY1iNy24mR) as we can see – founder send about 370k coins to exchange. (I think he sell about 50% of this amount and other 50% send to his new addresses for hide)

Digifinex is the first exchange to support LBTC's deposit and withdrawal. It's very natural that we want to provide the liquidity for a short moment until users get in. It's not appropriate for one to discredit others on something without any evidence.

Decentralization? What's this?

  • 51 nodes taken by cobo pool. People dont care about ecology, vote only for rewards, for pool.
  • Other 48 nodes – its investors or founder nodes. Proof: take any node from 101, not pool. For example “ghostfaceuk”. Check voters, check few addresses and look how this addresses got coins. For example: 1BQGEE1SVdWrozWSU1duDgDZqdpzYdMCzQ 25th February from 1ZiqgsBUGurqHtEL3zrebR5GHsRKSgHzr and this address take 50 000 coins from fork 19XAxUp72VuwxYvrKE5DJWY1SGTCxDLbeH address. Also you can just look 1ZiqgsBUGurqHtEL3zrebR5GHsRKSgHzr transactions and check their votes. https://explorer.lbtcscan.io/address/1ZiqgsBUGurqHtEL3zrebR5GHsRKSgHzr it's easier.
  • Some votes from this address (1ZiqgsBUGurqHtEL3zrebR5GHsRKSgHzr) voted for cobo pool, so he take part of little investors rewards.

Not only LBTC team supports users who are good for the development of the community to be bookeeping nodes, but also other users recognize what they've done thus vote for them. Community construction is a step by step task rather than a one step process. We hope that in the process of growth, we can slowly withdraw the role of "team", let the community autonomy thrive. Everthing takes time.

Segwit

  • LBTC cuted segwit support. I thought why the Segwit support was not included. And I came to a conclusion - to avoid competition. You can independently count how many coins were on Segwit addresses and cut them from the circulating supply.

LBTC doesn't support SegWit because we don't need a centralized procedure to help solve the problem of original Bitcoin. We've been insisting on decentralization from the first day on, that's why we're preparing to add in committee system and hold supernode election. All the things we want is to make LBTC a great, sustainable project.

If you wrote this whole article down was because your LBTC is on segwit address, we feel sorry, but no, LBTC doesn't agree with centralization. This is our principle.

About a month ago, I claim LBTC by importing a private key into an LBTC Wallet 0.0.8 client. Some time ago, the client began to issue a message “Server is lagging" at startup and I couldn’t see my funds. Today I downloaded the updated client LBTC Wallet 0.1.1, imported the same private key into it, but my balance turned out to be zero. What is the problem?

Why do you provide only the daemon/cli binaries for Linux and not the Qt GUI? And why do you provide no binaries at all for Windows? All of that is very easy to compile and works without any problem (except your syncing bug).

the full node wallet, Linux version is main stream and it doesn’t need UI. Later on, we will add windows version and Linux desktop version which will include UI

Also, we reserve the right of holding the LBTCs from these inactive addresses. The owners of inactive addresses can claim their LBTCs back before December 31st, 2020. Starting in 2019, unclaimed amount of LBTC will be used for building the LBTC ecosystem.

(2) Holdings Allocations
20% LBTC for the LBTC team
40% LBTC for LBTC Ecosystem
40% LBTC for Reclaim

(3) Used Portion of LBTC
Remaining amount LBTC: 2,235,269

Lightning Node Elections June 21-July 20
Requirments and details read here ->https://[Suspicious link removed]/2tBvGRO

1. Lightning Nodes
Lightning Bitcoin uses Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, which allows LBTC holders to choose 101 lightning nodes that would be in charge of validating transactions and maintain the network and in return get rewarded in forged LBTCs.
Lightning Nodes are the core governing bodies and bookkeeping nodes in the Lightning Bitcoin network. Since all the Lightning Nodes are elected by the whole LBTC community, the LBTC community can replace the untrusted nodes by initiating new elections.

2. Candidate Requirements: Basic Information Disclosure
Provide Individual/institution introduction, including:
Name or a list of team members (for institutions);
recommend election teams name should be LBTC-related, for ex “LBTC FLY Community”, “Lightning Hub”, and we also welcome other node election teams to join LBTC node election
Website url;
Resumes;
Individual/ organization info;
Voting address for participating in lightning node election;
Community support plan for the coming year ( within 200 words);
Basic background of the existing community (this section will be considered as part of the contribution to the development and promotion of the community and will bring extra points to the candidate in the election);

3. Elections Requirements
Hardware requirements: minimum requirement 4vCP, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 10M bandwidth;
LBTC Lock-up amount: the minimum LBTC holding amount for bookkeeping is 5000 LBTC.
If a candidate won the election with the holding amount less than 5000 LBTC, the candidate would not be eligible for bookkeeping. The position will be filled by a backup candidate who meets the minimum LBTC holding requirement.
In order to better align the interests between bookkeeping nodes and LBTC communities, LBTC’s mainnet source code will be upgraded on July 1st, 2018.

4. Procedure: Lightning Node Elections
Election dates:
June 21st, 2018 — July 20th, 2018

Starting date and time is June 21st 12:00pm.
For more information, please click the LBTC forum link.
Before submitting the information, please refer to the campaign submission notice in the forum!
The deadline is July 20th 22:00.
Considering the fact that LBTC mainnet has been running smoothly for months, candidates will be evaluated based on the level of contribution. On July 20th, the final list of candidates will be determined.

Assessment: The LBTC team will give a real-time and comprehensive assessment of all the candidates who have made a positive impact on the LBTC ecosystem development. A more detailed guideline will be released soon.
During the election: the LBTC team will give an assessment based on the community contribution guideline. If a candidate is lack of community contribution, its supporting votes might be withdrawn. If the candidate meets the minimum community contribution in the future, the candidate will still be able to run an election campaign. The voting mechanism will be improved over time in the ecosystem development plan. The whole election will be conducted under the supervision of the entire LBTC community.
On the consensus level: lightning nodes can only be elected on the basis of the supporting votes form LBTC holders. During the election process, the LBTC team will release the final assessment results and vote for the high ranked candidates. Notice that the support from the LBTC team might not determine the final success of a candidate because its supporting votes needs to be ranked into the top 101. In addition, the candidate needs to meet the minimum LBTC holding requirement (5,000 LBTC).

I don't buy nor sell anything here and never will.
Why do you provide only the daemon/cli binaries for Linux and not the Qt GUI? And why do you provide no binaries at all for Windows? All of that is very easy to compile and works without any problem (except your syncing bug).

Who can help me install Light Wallet Windows 64bit (v0.0.7)?
I downloaded and try install.. have errors:
1. windows have not api-ms-win-crt-math-l1-1-0.dll
2. Error loading Python DLL (python35.dll)

How can fix it?
Thanks.

Figured out how to fix it, if you are still having issues.

First try simply downloading/adding that file... info on youtube/google as to where to download it and where to put the file. If that doesn't work, make sure your windows is up to date (at least 1st service pack on win 7)... then update C++ from Microsoft. After that, it worked for me.

Ok, thanks for info.
I will try it soon.
But I don't use C++.  Need download C++ and install it?

Why LBTC it's a VERY bad choice? (Part 2)

Hello everyone. After my article, i get official answer and now have time to write new article.

  • Quote: "Lightning Bitcoin team took coins from inactive addresses which altogether accounts for around 12% (2700000 coins) of the total number of coins."
  • Answer: Shit... I write they took 20%, they answer 12%. They simply can not calculate how much they took. Why do i write 20%? I take 2,72kk from 16,75kk total coin supply minus segwit addresses and also some "forever lost" coins. But if we take 2,72kk from 16,75kk its 16,2%. Bad.
  • Quote: "We have already completed two rewarding sessions: for light wallet testing, early awards for community contributors."
  • Answer: Are you kidding me? I look LBTC Early Awards. Awards sum is 0,000155kk from 2,72kk. Gj, you accounted for the taken 0,000155kk of coins. 2,719845kk left. Bad.
  • Quote: "The main objective of a market making is to provide liquidity for investors and traders."
  • Answer: So what? So founders really sell it? How they provide liquidity? I see only one answer: they sell coins. Bad.
  • Quote: "One of the obvious drawbacks of SegWit is a vast centralization of validating nodes, centralization in the way of centralized development."
  • Answer: So they can make same as BCH (possible to claim but not to use), they dont. Sure they want quote "manipulate the price by limiting circulation supply". Bad.
  • Quote: "Hope we answered all the questions"
  • Answer: WTF? Really? Where answers about coins sended to exchange? Where this coins? If they dont sell it - show addresses with this coin to community... Where answers about votes for himself nodes and cobo pool?

Fatality: Also founder send new 50 000 coins to DigiFinex. Proof - coins sended from start claimed coins. They still "provide liquidity"? Cheesy

Conclusion: The founder evades the answers to the questions, continues to forging the coin with his nodes and take a portion of the profit from the pool. He does not care about investors. You must beware of investing in this coin.

Why LBTC it's a bad choice?

2.7kk for founder 4th February.

Segwit

  • LBTC cuted segwit support. I thought why the Segwit support was not included. And I came to a conclusion - to avoid competition. You can independently count how many coins were on Segwit addresses and cut them from the circulating supply.

Conclusion: founder trying hide his selling “community coins”, coin controlled by one man.

P.S. The article is written in a hurry, this is my personal opinion and I will be glad to hear the opinion of the community.

Update: Funny official answer from founder:

https://imgur.com/fA8ErWO

  • no any proof
  • no answers about votes for himself nodes and cobo pool

Having the same exact problem. Using an old laptop, as I don't like to risk wallets like this on pcs I normally use and am too lazy to set up a virtual machine. I expect I need some windows updates or something... will try the dll file, see if that works.

Edit: And after adding the missing file into the correct directories didn't work, I went to step 2, updating C++... which then had an unspecified error when trying to install. Looked for a fix for the fix, and decided to give up for now. The VM option is looking better and better.

I sent a transaction hours ago and it seems stuck. Many blocks have been mined, but it is still unconfirmed.

It came from a segwit address: http://explorer.lbtc.io/transinfo?txhash=e8199d715f349c711b96008ab7080087c2876a42bfc3aa0c24c70bda57ce5e53

Any ideas how to confirm or maybe cancel it and send it again?

I successfully broadcasted a child pays for parent transaction with a much higher fee, but the block explorer doesn't find this tx id too.

Anyone know what is wrong?
Sorry,we don't support segwit nor segwit address.

so, the post on the front page

"The original bitcoin holders can claim LBTC at a 1:1 ratio if you held BTC in the wallet or the supporting exchanges at Bitcoin block 499,999 (Dec. 18th, 2017) "

is a lie, Segwit holders at the snapshot can't claim.

Also, the graphic just below that claiming 21 million coin supply is also a lie. You can't say 21m coins then "oh but every coin on a segwit address is not supported"

LBTC can be deposited on BtcTrade exchange NOW! Thanks for your patience and support!!

Official website:
www.btctrade.im or www.btctrade.tv

This is good news, coins can now pass from weak to strong hands, I expect those fork hunters who don't bother researching coins will dump for peanuts, it's a great time to accumulate a position cheaply. If past forks is anything to go by the dump will be massive, so fiĺing a bag will be cheap. Lightning is a real dark horse in q4 , or early 2019

i think the really great thing about this project is the ASCIC/GPU resistent.
but this is just on the paper.
how many days until the algo will be minable with GPU/SIC?

Asic resistance is a good feature, but not enough to make this fork anything amazing, I think the devs need to add some features asap, otherwise this coin gets lost in the fork zoo of the last 6months.

What makes Lightning Bitcoin better than other forks, i don't see a big community here, so store of value proposition is very weak.

is it true LightningBTC team rolled back the blockchain so people who had BTC on segwit addresses couldn't claim their LBTC?

can LBTC team honor SegWit BTC addresses by having them sending a small amount of BTC to the holder's own address for verification purposes?  that would be more than fair.

let's see how professional LBTC team is

The rollback happened indeed, segwit addresses have never been supported in lbtc network. so there is no connections between these two

I see that your list of exchange, although extensive, is not too popular. Is there a possibility that some better-known exchange will follows?

Dev was online after my post but didn't give answer. I assume the answer is no? Too bad, because IMO people would think twice before depositing their btc to a less known exchange like stated
Yes, there is a big possibility for other exchanges to support lbtc after the disclosure of the source code.

Never heard before about these exchanges where it currently is available those given on previous page except Yobit. Which is not taken serious anymore even it is old and well known. I am interested to know when can I claim using coinomi wallet ? Have you contacted them to add this because that is only wallet I use to claim forked coins.

Like all other forks of bitcoin, this "LBTC" will go to zero
'cause it's shitcoin!

Now, if anyone can kindly say here when an exchange will accept deposits so I can dump this shitcoin, that'd be great!

I run Btcdiv.com, a site listing dividends to bitcoin holders in the form of altcoin forks and airdrop. Lightning Bitcoin is currently the third most valuable coin (per claimed bitcoin) on the site, only trailing BCH and BCD!

I have just added an Exchanges section to Btcdiv.com and have listed seven exchanges where LBTC is traded. Do you guys know of any more?

Thanks!

Hi.

How to install and use "LBTC Full Node Wallet" ?

I download it, download and install Ubuntu 16.04.3 64x
Then try to start wallet but get error.
Code:
./bitcoind: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_thread.so.1.58.0: can not open shared object file: No such file or directory
https://ibb.co/eM3Dqn

I have no experience with Linux/Ubuntu and can't start wallet.

Please if possible make and share video how to start this wallet. (I search in youtube.com 'how to', and find other coin wallets, but this not help)

regards Svetli

Where can I find source code and whitepaper?

People, if you really need this coin for some reason, stay safe and do not use it on your active BTC address. Send your BTC to another address before you try to redeem it. You cannot trust it with your private key, until the source code can be audited.

Claimed LBTC with Excrypto - https://www.excrypts.org and will be keeping them until some exchange will adopt it and make it available to deposit.

Network is down. Chain has been splitted. Light wallet doesn't work. Nodes are not working cause of split.
What we need to do?

If any exchange had to list it was coming out loudly when this fork was first announced. To be honest this is already failed even before taking any start. Everyone loves free coins inclusive me but what sense has to get any coin which is more worse than ICO tokens. It's time is already over.

There is a typo mistake in introduction section where how to claim lightning Bitcoin is written. There correct date when fork happened should  be December 18,2017 instead of coming ones. I also had few Bitcoins at that block numbers and will keep watching where it goes before claiming the new coins.

Is there any delegates pool? or wich delegates will share their profit if I vote them?

No answer?... so... I have to asume that there is no pool... so... I think there aren't votes from my side... I will support delegates who share benefits or a pool but not  particular delegates in order to make them rich.

What is Lightning Bitcoin

Lightning Bitcoin is a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain. By adopting DPoS consensus mechanism with 2M blocksize, Lightning Bitcoin improves transaction speed, promotes decentralization and also supports smart contracts. Lightning Bitcoin combines the advantages of Bitcoin and Ethereum and creates a more valuable and functional blockchain system.

The ticker of Lightning Bitcoin is LBTC.

How to claim LBTC

The original bitcoin holders can claim LBTC at a 1:1 ratio if you held BTC in the wallet or the supporting exchanges at Bitcoin block 499,999 (Dec. 18th, 2017).
Please only use links provided by this post, website, twitter or official telegram.

Why does LBTC use DPoS instead of PoW

LBTC employs the DPoS Consensus Mechanism, which implements technological democracies to offset the negative effects of centralization problems posed by the PoW algorithm. As a result, true decentralization can be achieved with the voting right in the hands of the token holders, which ensures to maximize shareholder profitability and the network effect, minimize the costs of maintaining cybersecurity and the cost of operating the network. Significantly reduced the number of participating verification nodes, LBTC can reach the consensus in seconds, and the transaction speed is really FAST as lightning.

Roadmap

How to forge LBTC

First, one need to download the wallet and register as delegate. One address can register as one delegate. Then you can vote for yourself or ask others to vote for you. The number of votes is the number of LBTC held by the voting address. The top 101 addresses that get the highest number of votes can be regarded as bookkeeping nodes. The ranking and votes can be seen in the block explorer.

The previous steps can be completed through the light wallet our the full node wallet, but if you're elected as a bookkeeping node, you need to run the forging process in the full node wallet. The detailed tutorial can be found in LBTC website.

FAQ

1. LBTC ticker.
Lightning Bitcoin ticker is LBTC. You would notice that some coins have similar tickers. However, Litebitcoin (LBTC, LBTCX) and Bitcoin Lightning (BLT) are the coins that are not related to Lightning Bitcoin. Please be aware and double check the name before making any transactions.

2. How to claim LBTC? How does this airdrop of LBTC work?
A bitcoin holder is credited with Lightning Bitcoin based on a 1:1 ratio if you held BTC in the wallet or the supporting exchanges at Bitcoin block height 499,999. You can find the official wallet and the tutorial on our website: www.lbtc.io

3. Why are LBTC prices different on each exchange?
Some of the exchanges haven't install the LBTC wallet yet. Currently, the following exchanges support LBTC deposit and withdraw:
-https://www.digifinex.com/
-https://www.coinegg.com/
-https://www.zb.com/
-https://www.btctrade.im/
-https://www.aex.com/
-https://yobit.net/en/
-https://www.bcex.ca/coins
-https://kkex.com/
-https://exrates.me/
-SWFT.pro

4. Are there any bounty programs for LBTC and how can I contribute?
Yes! Anyone can contribute to the LBTC community by writing articles, setting up promoting groups, and contributing source codes. The detailed rules will be posted on Medium in weeks.

5. Does "3sec + 2MB" imply that the blockchain increases by 40MB/min and 57GB/day?
The actual block size depends on the amount of transactions during that specific 3 seconds. Normally, the block size is less than 1KB in the beginning. Therefore, 57GB per day is a hypothetical growth with maximum loading.

6. Does LBTC have pre-mine? And, how does the LBTC committee provide funding to build the ecosystem?
There is no pre-mine. However, the Lightning Team will build a security node to make sure that the mainnet works smoothly.

The addresses that have no transactions or only inflows with less than 1 BTC accumulated since Jan 31th 2013 are defined as inactive addresses. We took LBTC from those inactive addresses for ecological construction, such as algorithmic research, smart contracts and DApps development, community rewards and global promotion.The full node wallet and light wallet will be managed by the LBTC foundation. We reserve the rights to return LTBC back to these inactive addresses upon request.

7. What are the inactive addresses?
Please refer to this Medium article: https://medium.com/lightning-bitcoin-blog/lightning-bitcoin-inactive-addresses-list-93bc034f5787

8. Are LBTC and Lightning Network related? What's the difference?
Lightning Bitcoin is a hard fork of Bitcoin; Lighting Network is an off-chain protocol built on Bitcoin. It is important to address that these two projects are not related to each other. The only two things that Lightning Bitcoin and Lightning Network have in common are the desire to propose solutions to Bitcoin's scalability problem and the word “Lightning” ^^.

9. Is LBTC open source?
Lightning Bitcoin is open source: https://github.com/lbtcio/lbtc-core.

10. How to get the LBTC back if they were sent to a segwit address by mistake?
LBTC mainnet doesn't support segwit! If a LBTC was sent to a segwit address, it will be lost forever. Therefore, NEVER SEND YOUR LBTC TO A SEGWIT ADDRESS!
