I have been mining BTC and am looking at mining LTC as well, I have the client updating from "weeks behind" (this may take awhile), but will check this out once complete. Anything I have to do besides follow the links?
Just make sure your miner can mine on the Scrypt algorithm.

After more poking and prodding at the server I have at last found the problem that has been plagueing the pool. It was a small time difference between the client on the server itself. The problem has been fixed and I am 100% convinced we will find a block soon!
