FreiExchange is a modest but trustworthy exchange. We are proud to list Manna, universal income coin, along side our Freicoin for over a year.

Why do we have low volume? We didn’t ask for a listing fee, we don’t prop-up markets in any significant way, nor do we create fake volume. We count on the community to support their coin.

At this point in the ending of the alt-coin winter, please come and help us support your coin by helping fill up the order books at our exchange to make a market. We don’t have any trading fees.

I was a big fan of the team and project since the grantcoin era, until Manna came out and the team stole my collected Grantcoins by just shutting down the official Twitter wallet bot (@SendGrantcoin) without any notice.

Also saw people on Twitter asking for it, but the team is just ignoring them.

Don't trust the team with your Manna/money, withdraw it from their platforms asap when received your income.

Here is a link to the Twitter announcement. All Twitter wallet holders are being contacted directly as well.

Hi,
I really apologize that our team didn't adequately announce the issues with the Twitter Wallet. The extremely large user growth we've experienced in the last couple months has required a bit of a growing period and the updates regarding the Twitter wallet somehow slipped through the cracks. First, I want to assure you that your Grantcoin (now Manna) is absolutely safe. There were compatibility issues that caused a delay in the Twitter wallet update that are just now finally resolved. We will be relaunching the Twitter wallets shortly and sending a direct message to any users with how to proceed to transition from Grantcoin to Manna Twitter Wallets. That being said, the API with Twitter will be changing this Summer and we will be encouraging our Twitter holders to move their balances out of the Twitter wallets as the dev work for this may take some time to update once those changes with Twitter's infrastructure occur. Thanks so much for your patience with this and hope this helps quell your concerns and frustrations.

Why to send below 1MANNA when you get 15 every week without referrals, and 1 MANNA is less than 0,01$ so I really don't see a point to send it.

I saw some of the airdrops alerting pages started to promote manna project and that will for sure bring more people to this community. The question is how will that reflect to the amount of Manna we get every week.

The pool is same every week as far as I know but the number of people increasing so will we get much less and less with every new week?

Yes, you earn less each week. I'm now earning less than a third of what I was earning in March.

Hello, great project guys. I wonder if there's a minimum amount for withdrawal ?

I don't know if there is a minimum amount for withdrawal, but what I know is, that there is a fee of a 0.1 MANNA for each transaction. So I think it make no sense to send a tiny amount of MANNA below 1.

What a beautiful place Earth would be if anyone has basic income and have time to do what they want and in that way contribute to humanity.

I see there is a referral link, so do we get a reward for bringing more people?

Yes, you will get bonus Manna for referring others. You can learn the specifics from our FAQ: https://www.mannabase.com/static/documents/mannabase_faq.pdf

What do you think about the price of this coin? Is there any chance that price can go up? I mean because they produce coins every week and i dont see how can they attract investors? Honestly, I didn't read whitepaper so i don't know what are their strategy.

Yes, I have 4 referals and get some more Manna. But the amount changes each week so I can not tell how much exactly it is.

I remember  good old days when wallet was used with mooncoin.qt -server .bat. I'm out from mining for a long time i would like to try again.
Hey Xalia,
It would be best to contact Doug Shubert for this as he will be able to assist you through the process and answer any questions you may have. You can contact him by e-mailing him at:
(his first name )@mannabase.com
Hope that makes sense. I don't want his e-mailed to get spammed.

Today we did the 2nd weekly distribution of $MANNA #UniversalBasicIncome #cryptocurrency on http://Mannabase.com . Over 22,000 people received a total of ~$13,000 worth of Manna in this distribution.

So now I have the manna in my mannabase.com account:

- how can I use it now?

- how will I be able to use it in the future?

I think a currency make more sense if it can be used.

P.S.
I am a developer and would like to contribute, who should I contact?

As of now, the send/ receive function of the Mannabase wallets is not yet active. We are currently finalizing the development of this feature and should have it released soon. Once it is, users will be able to send the Manna to other users accounts or out of their account and to exchanges where they can sell it for other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. From there, they can sell the Bitcoin for their native fiat currencies like the US dollar. I know this is a lot of steps and a little complicated as is. Longer term, we plan to alleviate this through a number of solutions:

1.) Utilize our targeted giving features to give Manna to charities, artists/creators, and and those in need.

2.) Partnering with digital currency debit card companies to allow you to store Manna in a debit card then instantly spend it even at locations who do not accept Manna or digital currency. They just would need to accept major credit cards like Visa. (Companies like Tenx and Monaco are currently developing this solution)
3.) Partnering with websites where you can buy gift cards to most major establishments with your Manna.
4.) Partnering with businesses to directly accept Manna as payment.
5.) Creating a Marketplace on Mannabase.com. (Likely consisting of music, art, tutoring, and other services that can have a more elastic price to balance the early stage price volatility.)

Anyway, the reality is that we are still in the early stages of this project. As the network of users grows, so will the full vision and use case. Metcalf's law is a great way to think about the network effect and how a growing user base will intrinsically provide greater use case.

Yes, we are currently hiring developers and would love to talk. I will DM you the contact details.

Your project looks Interesting, about signing up to experience how it works. I read from the thread that your project has been up since 2015 and its still on a low key,I guess the publicity should be boosted. Thanks

Until March 1st it was just proof of concept testing and different name.  A total of 8 disbursement’s over 3 years I believe compared to the now 1 a week.  From what I can tell it’s highly geared towards trying to get people not in the crypto scene also.  What better way to get people to get involved by giving them free coins.  Unfortunately the price of manna is too low to successfully pull this off atm.  Most people that are not in the crypto scene will never look again after seeing $0.50 worth of coins.  Their is nothing wrong with free $0.50 a week especially if you consider inflation later this year but these people don’t know any of that.  They just know $0.50 is not worth getting involved.  Most my friends are even more confused with the coin converter going from 500 to 1.  Most of them now think they received a penny lol.  I highly suggest you set the converter to default to # of coins owned.  And have 0 balance default to 1 on converter for new signups.

This has actually not been the case. We have had to upgrade our servers numerous times in the last couple weeks because of traffic to our site. We are currently experiencing extremely fast growth to the point where we are not yet able to implement our marketing strategies as we currently are needing to adjust for organic growth as well as optimize the process to improve UBI sign-up completion rates. Yes, the current distribution amount per week is currently fairly small, but even as is that would equate to $25 per year which for much of the world is still rather significant. On top of this, many people are receiving additional referral bonuses or referred bonuses as well. We have added two highly talented and  marketers to our team with large personal/social networks and marketing experience. The value will come with time and as crypto enthusiasts know, value corrections usually happen suddenly rather than modestly over time. In  short, user adoption since we have launched Mannabase has been extremely successful. We are working daily towards improving the intuitive nature of the site and to eliminate any areas of confusion. Unfortunately, these changes take time and while there are still users who are confused, we have only had the distribution live for 4 days and Mannabase live for about a month. I think it should be fair to expect some period of adaptation on our end to resolve user problems and misunderstanding. Anyways, I deeply appreciate all the great feedback and rest assured we are listening closely:)

Could you explain how the distribution system works?  It seems odd to me that the premise is Universal equality.  but people that I got to sign up got different pays (and no none of them had referrals) and I have no clue what the amount I got was based off of but it certainly was not based off of my referrals + 1 * (the number of coins my wife received).  Maybe it was the amount all my referrals received + what random # of coins I received as a base.  I don't know how many everyone got so I don't know.  But I'm hoping you can tell us why everything seems random.

p.s. it was hard enough to try to convince people that this is not a scam because no one believes in the word free with no strings attached.  I was hoping the people I hounded and got to signup would spread the word and affirm what I was saying after receiving their coins today but instead it worked the opposite way.  Conspiracy theories about different numbers and major grumbles about the misleading 500coins = $8.50 every day upto March 1st and then receiving less than 50.  I mean pshhh I don't mind spreading the word on stuff but I certainly don't like people asking me all this crap like I did it.  Well hopefully you have answers cause I'm tired of people asking.

Hi, I am happy to answer your questions and help clarify your concerns. First, regarding the 500 coin component. We initially had our currency converter tool with 500 as the baseline example amount. This was clearly labeled as a currency converter and the number would change once you typed into the box. That being said, it did cause confusion so we have since fixed that by simply making the baseline number in the box to be 1. We had no intention of misleading or confusing people and quickly addressed the issue once we saw there was some confusion. As for different pay amounts, everyone should have received the exact same amount of base UBI. Any additional amount would have been due to referrals. We have seen no evidence in the blockchain of this not being the case but I would be happy to explore your circumstance to determine why the numbers seem off and if in fact they are.  Can you dm me a screenshot of your dashboard? We distribute 3.5% of new coins into circulation annually through the UBI. This is broken down into 52 smaller distributions, i.e. once a week. The concept of the "free money" component is based on the fundamental idea that most currencies, and even commodities like gold, experience a moderate annual inflation. The only difference is that everyone who participates in the manna economy, by becoming a UBI recipient, receives an equal share of that new money created. We are working diligently on streamlining the process. This includes a FAQ/ videos regarding many of the commonly asked questions like the ones you have asked, improving the sign-up experience to prevent any possibility of confusion, and educating the community as effectively as possible about how the project works and what to expect. In the end, like anything in this world, the success or failure of Manna will depend on the community of people who choose to support it. Anyways, we really appreciate you spreading the word and I apologize for any flack you ended up receiving due to confusion or misinformation. Hope this helps quell some of your concerns, and I hope I can help get to the bottom of your issues regarding the amount of coins you received.

Correction I would send you the screenshots if you accepted message from newbies lol.  In the meantime can you confirm how many coins each person should of received?

It should have been ~29 Manna plus ~29 Manna per approved referral. If this is not correct, I have DM'ed you my e-mail and can help you further.

I noticed today in the morning that the CURRENCY CONVERTER in my profile is set to 1 MANNA instead of 500 so there will be no confusion any more about this issue. (and we have now 4 decimals instead of only 2, which is better)

Observing the project, it transmits transparency, quality and security for investments, has a social vision that aims to reach everyone towards a goal that is to reduce poverty in world. Another factor to consider, though an important aspect to me, the total supply number is very high 10 Billion not is even attractive.
This is a very fair point. We are actually planning on drastically reducing the supply. The only reason we haven't done so yet, is that we want to do so in a way that the destruction of those coins is provable on the blockchain. In our whitepaper we outline the amount of Manna that will be preserved, (about 25% or 2.5 billion) and that the remainder will be destroyed (about 7.5 billion) You can review our whitepaper at www.mannabase.com on the homepage.

Manna coin has been on Coinmarketcap since 2015. After 3 years, Volume (24h) is just only $79 USD
LOL

That was a single day. The average volume is higher. We are also currently still on a smaller exchange with a small total volume and user base. That being said, we are in the process of getting listed on some larger exchanges which will help increase volume and liquidity. If you support the project and idea, I would encourage you to provide some liquidity:)

The countdown got to 0 and then no coins and it says next disbursement March 8th...... and nothing posted anywhere on the site or anything saying where the March 1st disbursement is

I was also surprised, but around 2 hours later I got my MANNA share into my mannabase.com account

The UBI is distributed based on a ~3.5% annual inflation rate of the circulating supply. The 3.5% is evenly distributed amongst all users who have verified their "proof of humanity."

Ok nice, so you distribute it until reaching total supply?

And question regarding KYC. How you defend against scammers?
Lets say I have multiple phone numbers and emails and I register multiple times with some other identities. How you check that?
We work with a proprietary set of algorithms as well to ensure users are unique and this has proven effective with users who have multiple phones and e-mails. From our audits thus far, our method has proven a low rate of fraud. That being said, we recognize the importance of KYC with this project and are in the constant process of improving our verification process. We are looking into possible partnerships with Jumio, Uport, Civic and other identity projects as well as non-governmental biometric identification protocols for later iterations.
Cool. I think KYC is biggest concern with coin like this but I am glad you work seriously on it.

I always wanted to see distributed wealth in action so how that distribution works in this case?
Do you distribute some percentage of my coins when I buy them to all users or?

MANNA: Universal Basic Income + Blockchain

Manna is distributed by the People’s Currency Foundation as a basic human right that every person in the world is eligible to receive, for free. Founded in 2015 and originally known as Grantcoin, Manna has achieved milestones in the cryptocurrency movement, as the first blockchain-based currency to be created and distributed by a tax-exempt nonprofit organization, and the first digital currency to implement a Universal Basic Income as its primary method of distribution.

Mannabase is the place to sign up for and receive Manna UBI, and a simple web-based platform to transact the currency with other users. Mannabase will also be developing a system for targeted direct giving, enabling users to donate Manna currency to specific groups of people based on criteria such as geography, age, sex, and economic condition. Mannabase users will also be able to give Manna to charities through the platform.

The vision of Mannabase is to empower the people of the world by making cryptocurrency accessible and available to everyone, and to provide a tool for effective altruism to reduce poverty and inequality.
