Just a notice, we are suspending the voting for one week and will take our next winner next Monday. No voting winner tomorrow.

From their twitter...

Good news Huh  we're # 17

Perhaps what they meant is that they are not picking this week’s winner tomorrow, due to a vote count adjustment. Be sure to keep voting. Thanks.

That is what I gathered as votes are still increasing.

DNotes is looking solid still. Glad to see this community is prospering.  Wink

All indicators are pointing to a solid up trend. A moderate advance with occasional pull back is very healthy and preferred over a rapid rise and a sharp fall. There will always be investors who are more interested in profit taking than holding on for long term appreciation. Sometime, it is a cash flow necessity. In the case of DNotes, all indications are that this is a relatively small minority.

Our community has been doing a great job in voting to get DNotes listed on Mintpal exchange. It is still looking very promising. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Firefighters for Digital Currency eh?  Can you elaborate a bit on that? I'm a retired career firefighter/officer/EMS Chief, 20 years in until I was blown off of a second story porch. Also 10 years volunteer and now ten more in EMS/ALS. All while supporting a technical/computer career. Sounds interesting.

And, thank you to you and ALL FIRE/EMS personnel out there, vol or career.

Thank you for your service, and that's a resume to be damn proud of.

My intention with Firefighters for Digital Currency is to set up as many Firefighter charities and organizations as possible with DNotes wallets. Each organization that sets up a wallet will have their deposit address listed in a directory on www.FF4DC.com. At this point FF4DC will not be accepting donations directly.

These organizations may include;
-Firefighter Burn Fund
-Pension plans
-Relief for families of Fallen Firefighters
-Funding for new equiptment/training
-Fire safety awareness

FF4DC is also open to;
-Support groups for Veterans
-Any Emergency Service Personnel, including Police and EMS

I am trying to play a little catch up here. Just like you to know that those are great ideas. Keep us posted and let me know if I can be of help. I will be happy to make a donation to each of group you listed. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for your continued support, DNotes has played a huge role in the founding of FF4DC.

Bad news from New York State for US users and exchanges:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2aycxs/hi_this_is_ben_lawsky_at_nydfs_here_are_the/

Let's tell them how we feel about this loud and hard! Just try to stay civil... There's still time to change these poorly thought out policies.

My research title is: "DNotes may be the politicians’ best friend."

LOL now there's a statement! But, it just might be a good marketing strategy...  Smiley

I think the bigger picture here is "one up-man-ship". Other states will look at this crap and say "We need be more restrictive than NY" or. see new ways to drain money from the industry. Remember, it's all about how much they can take from you to "allow" you to do as you please.  We need to enlighten our reps to the fact that digital is the future with, or without them. I will survive, they may not...

Great points. Casino was bad. Now it's good. We want one in our district!  LOL!

Funny you should mention casinos. I grew up near Atlantic City NJ and I remember all the hype of how casinos would save Atlantic City and bring in jobs and revitalize the area, etc, etc but they had to be tightly regulated so the bad guys would not hurt the innocent citizens.

Well, they built the Casinos and regulated the crap of them and the citizens still got hurt and now the Casinos are closing one after another. Over 4000 local jobs will be lost this fall on top of some 3000 already gone. All the businesses that sprang up on the "strip" and feeder highways are hurting or dying. As things started to go bad, more laws and more regulation. It took a while (40 yrs) but the whole thing is now toppling over from it's own weight.

And so it goes with regulation, it's a fine line between too much and too little and most politicians can't see it, they only see what benefits them in the immediate future, screw the rest of us....

It is sad to learn that so many people are loosing their jobs. The ripple effect is going to be quite negative.

Need more time to study the proposed rules. I did a very quick read and got the impression that overall, it's going to be quite burdensome for the industry, essentially raising the bar for the cost of entry and business expansion. Certain rule of law is necessary to protect investors but an excessive amount will hurt the industry. It will become increasingly more difficulty for weak coins to survive, and new currency launches will be extremely challenging. Relatively speaking, it will help DNotes more in certain ways; more than others, because of the way we are positioned. I am planning to do more research on this subject and will report back. It will take me some time. My research title is: "DNotes may be the politicians’ best friend."

Nice. I'll pass that on to my old union and Burn Foundation in NJ as well as current Medic Unit and local volunteer companies. Thanks for the info...

That'd be much appreciated, thanks!
