Why do all of them popup Godaddy?

it's not all of them. it's probably just the recent ones that haven't had a website built for them yet.

yeah i've noticed most of the domains purchased haven't actually been used for real businesses yet.

...but if you go back a few days

bitcoinmailer.com has a website.

hi bitcoin tree, your service is looking very nice but I found a missing domain. bitmit.net, register date: 09-01-11

Thank you I will add it manually, as with bitcoinportail.com.

I have indexed all the way back to April 1, 2011 now and have noticed actually quite a few missing. So I suppose 'dailydomains.org' list isn't very complete after all.

Well, it has been a fun little experiment anyway even if the list isn't 100% accurate.

I will try to find ways to make it more accurate going forward though.

Now viewable: April 1, 2011 to September 5, 2011.

Very clever, but can that really be all the domains that have bitcoin in them registered in a month?

I was actually surprised how many are registered each day. I mean, I guessed there would be bitcoin domains being registered on a regular basis, but didn't think there'd be new ones every day.

By the way, I've almost finished indexing July, so the dates available are now:

July 4, 2011 through to Sep 1, 2011.

The reason I'm taking so long to build the db is because I'm using sleep(1) statements in the scraper... hopefully they won't mind.

Hi julz and freemoney, thank you for your comments.

I thought of the idea when I came across dailydomains.org and wanted to see which domains were bitcoin related. Then I noticed they had no search feature so the only way to find them would be to look through 200-300 pages of domains. So, I decided to simply scrape their site, then I filter for the bitcoin keywords and save the relevant ones to a database for speedy viewing, and discard the rest.

julz: please search dailydomains.org for your domains and see if they are there.

It's possible that I could add other sources (like tucows) to make my list more accurate.

If anyone knows of any other sites that are similar to dailydomains.org, or a better place to get the required data, please let me know.

Thank you.

It's missing some .com domains registered with coin and bitcoin  via tucows.
I registered 2 on 2011-08-20 that aren't showing up on that date.. or on the days either side of it.

Hi everyone,

I don't know the exact area of the forum this belongs in, but I made a site which shows all the bitcoin related domain names that were registered on a certain date.

http://bitcointree.com

So far I've only indexed July 29, 2011 through to Sep 1, 2011 but I am gradually indexing more dates as we speak.

If you're not sure why this might be useful, consider these possibilities:

Find out what new bitcoin sites may be just about to start.
Get ideas about upcoming bitcoin sites.
Keep an eye on potential competitors.
Discover bitcoin related sites that you were previously unaware of.

Or, you might just purely find it interesting, like I do.

The site finds all domain names that:

contain 'bitcoin'
contain 'btc'
start with 'bit' but not 'bitcoin'
contain 'coin' but not 'bitcoin'

Check out Aug 26 for example, you can see someone was really interested in solidcoin. http://bitcointree.com/?date=20110826

Anyway have fun with it. I will continue to index more dates as fast as I can.

Thank you for your time.

...

By the way, I know there are many debtconsolidation domains in the BTC section, but I'm also gradually pruning these out manually, and any others I see that I know for sure are nothing to do with bitcoin.
