The order matching won't start happening until 9pm server time, to give users a chance to cancel any outstanding orders.

The price hasn't moved significantly while the exchange was down, but it seems only polite to give people a chance to cancel orders that they may not have intended to leave on the exchange.

Hi all,

The filesystem holding the exchange data became corrupted shortly after the nightly backup. We are working to restore everything.

Any actions you took on the exchange after the backup will be rolled back. Any orders you placed, orders you cancelled, or trades you made will have been undone. Fortunately no BTC or AUD deposits or withdrawals were carried out after the backup.

After the exchange has completed it's back up, it will be brought up in a frozen state. This prevents any trades being carried out, in order to allow you to cancel any orders that you don't want to have left in the orderbook.

We're hoping to have everything back up by this afternoon (Saturday 29th), but can't promise anything. Check back for updates as we have them.

What is the technical difficulty?

It's a filesystem corruption issue.  We will have to restore from backup.

It appears that this was a hardware failure.  The bitcoin wallet wasn't compromised.

Hi all,

We are having technical difficulties with our exchange, the exchange will be down for the next 24-48 hours, we apologise for any inconvenience caused, we are working around the clock to fix this problem ASAP.

I will keep you updated as information comes to hand.


We're back up after a server error. The exchange will be frozen until 9pm server time to give you a chance to cancel orders you no longer want on the orderbook. See the 'news' link on the right for more details.
