Hi everyone.

I'm a new member in this forum.

I've been lurking in the AltCoins Announcements subforum for a while now, and despite the Token Ann subforum, most ICOs and other "Tokens" are announced indiscriminately where only real coins should.

Since apparently there's no consensus (that I know about) about what is a Coin and what is a Token, I'm proposing either 2 things, that may work.

1. Separate mineable coins (either ASIC, CPU, GPU, etc) from "dev printed" coins/tokens, using a subforum for each.
2. Many algos are already established as secure, with devs and communities behind them. I'm proposing subforums for at the least the 10 most popular ones. Also establishing an ICO only subforum for all the new ICOs

I believe both is a better way for miners to filter mineable Coins from ICOs, that, in the mid term will uplift both categories. Investors wanna invest and get paid, and miners want to mine and get paid/help develop an algo, and this looks like a step forward to that.

If I'm stepping on something, let me know.

What do y'all think?
