atleast james lopp is speaking the truth

BTC = bitcoin CORE

No. James Lopp would NEVER say "BTC = Bitcoin Core". You are forcing that to us again. Hahaha.

Bitcoin is now Bitcoin instead of the coin that you like calling "Bitcoin Core" because Bitcoin Core is Bitcoin Core, BTCC.

There is a new fork from the original Bitcoin Cash chain called Bitcoin Clashic. The developers are calling it Bitcoin Core and has Roger Ver to thank for giving them the free publicity.

now anyone that says 'no its just bitcoin' is under the same hypocrisy of cash
NO ONE owns "bitcoin" brand

Yes no one. You are in your rights to call your coin as the "real Bitcoin". But good luck in trying to convince the whole community.

Quote
if you argue that bitcoin.com says bitcoin cash is doing something. atleast dont be hypocritical and instead realise that bitcoin.org is doing the same thing

Roger owns bitcoin.com. He is also saying that "Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin". Bitcoin and bitcoin.org was already there before Roger Ver started manipulating everyone.

Quote
you cant pretend bitcoin cant be owned when arguing the cash drama. but then say bitcoin can be owned when defending the core drama

What drama? Bitcoin is Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin Cash, an altcoin and Bitcoin Core is Bitcoin Core, a fork of the original BCH chain, Bitcoin Clashic. Simple. There is no drama if each coin knows its place.

just accept the reality that the non-consensus bilateral split occured on august 1st. which is something provable in the blockchain of both networks. and provable in code. thus undeniable.
accept it occured. accept both networks went in different directions and get over it.

How can you make the people accept a lie?

Quote
NO ONE SHOULD OWN "BITCOIN"
then it will become easier to then start the real process of trying to get back to the ethos of what was once bitcoin:
core to never again do a mandatory bilateral split to gain power,
core to never rekt any node that wants to use consensus
core to treat other node implementations that want to remain on the network with respect on an equal level playfield of consensus

Stop repeating yourself. You are starting to sound like Roger Ver. Haha.

Are you Roger Ver?

then and only then can the decentralsied ethos be truly discussed as a feature

yes other node devs might propose features the COMMUNITY dont desire.
yes other nodes might not get 95% COMMUNITY agreement.
and dare i say it
yes core devs  might propose features the COMMUNITY dont desire.
yes core nodes might not get 95% COMMUNITY agreement.

but thats where consensus comes in. the community discuss an overal compromise that benefits the majority as a whole.. no sides. no war. just a compromise and agreement.

But someone did a hard fork because he wanted an 8mb block size. Was that a compromise?

Quote
but never should core do a mandatory consensus bypass bilateral split to turn their 35% into 100% to take power
and never should core do a mandatory consensus bypass bilateral split to turn others 65% into 0% to remain in power

But the community, merchants and exchanges have spoken and the miners followed.

The BCH including Roger Ver claims only Bitcoin Cash conform to the version of Bitcoin as described by the creators Satoshi in his white paper.

The BTC including theymos claims only Bitcoin CORE conform to the version of Bitcoin as described by the creators Satoshi in his white paper.

both sides are wrong. both were part of the bilateral split on august 1st, both diverted and both went thier separate ways.
its literally wrote in the IMMUTIBLE blockchains of both networks

bitcoin can be owned by NEITHER side.

and thus it must be clarified that its
bitcoin CORE
bitcoin CASH

Before every newbie follows anything, you should know which protocol they are belonging to and remove the confusion.

Credit to Bitcoin developer, James Lopp, for this. The people of the Bitcoin Cash community might be furious if they see this because they believe "BCH is Bitcoin" which is wrong. BCH is a FORK of Bitcoin.

Sorry but it is the truth.

Some people who are following bitcoin through social media only are those who are incapacitated to know the real one. Look at the crypto enthussiasts here in forum, even a newbie can identify what is BTC and its fork which is BCH. In short, people who stayed here for just a period of time can learn about bitcoin because this forum does not want troll and hoax which are usually done outside of this world  (e.g. social media).
for the basis of what bitcoin is, perhaps a lot in social media that is correct in its explanation. but for the rest, about the platform, what is fork, real market circumstances, wallet, is this the best forum. I also learned a lot about it from this forum.

This is not always the case it can sometimes be confusing for a newbie who isn't aware of Roger Ver and his exploits via social media in attempts of making Bitcoin cash = Bitcoin. He lost a lot of credibility when he was exposed by many of the more experienced members but I feel that his propaganda worked on a select few and they were probably lower ranked members.

Yeah, I'm all for freedom of speech, every one including myself, is entitled to an opinion. I know I've spewed my fair share of misinformation every now and then. But it's really irresponsible of Bitcoin Cash proponents to deliberately mislead people, especially unwitting newcomers. Just a couple of posts ago I read about that London company trademarking Bitcoin.

I'm not saying only one opinion counts. Not saying to ignore discussions from camps other than "core". But alternative projects really shouldn't need to sow confusion if their product is superior. Let people judge for themselves.

That said, I also think users are a lot savvier than we take them for. Hopefully, people see through the wool. Early mistakes make for valuable lessons.

I think that the argument that Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin usually just means that they think it should be regarded as Bitcoin - they generally don't mean exactly what they're saying.

Yeah, I prefer giving them the benefit of the doubt and try to think to myself that this is basically their rationale. I mean, even if we were to assume that its founders are frauds, I'm sure that some people actually believe in the ideology. There are multiple ways to approach a single problem after all, and bigger blocks is a fairly direct-to-the-point solution to address scaling.

That being said, I'm still against their marketing because I believe that it's misleading.

I thought that @bitcoin twitter was banned due to multiple reports. Or I might be wrong seems they've got it back now.
But this is really the issue I even know people mess up BCH and BTC because of bch guys calling themselves real bitcoin and some newbies mixed and sent to wrong addresses even before, tho now they've changed format of their address as well.

that's why alot of people including me wants @bitcoin to get removed or atleast to get renamed to bitcoin cash its making alot of new people get scammed and some people thinks that bitcoin cash is bitcoin how delusional can they be.

They know exactly what they are doing. Bitcoin cash is a trash coin, pushed by fraudsters that care only about themselves. They don't care about creating confusion - infact, they are counting on it. They want newbies to be confused and buy their scam thinking it's real bitcoin, so they can keep their own pockets full.

This is what we get, when the name "Bitcoin" is not patent protected as a trademark. Grin
By the way,the BCH users should use the name "bitcoin cash",not bitcoin on social media accounts and reddit. This is their name and they have to stick with it.Using only bitcoin as the BCH name is misleading.

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
The people of the Bitcoin Cash community might be furious if they see this because they believe "BCH is Bitcoin" which is wrong.
Most of them actually do say "Bitcoin Cash" and "BCH" to distinguish between themselves and Bitcoin.  If you check r/btc or @bitcoin on Twitter, you'll notice that pretty much all of the posts make a clear distinction.

I think that the argument that Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin usually just means that they think it should be regarded as Bitcoin - they generally don't mean exactly what they're saying.

I can see how the list would be useful for people who haven't seen these sites yet though.
