Owlcatz,

Wow, I must have missed this post. Thanks for the reminder.

Totally forgot about that coin from years ago that managed to disappear or whatever.

I never got a chance to ask you, how did your step son like the coin?

He must be big now.

Gave you some merit. Getting used to the new merit system.

Aloha

Smoothie

Thanks! He loved it, and yes, is now a collector as well but on a very small scale. He loves bitcoin now too, he already has a trezor with some coin on it, as well as a few loaded physical items in his "cold storage box" (Shoebox) Grin

Cheers!

Pretty sure AM meant the BTC coins, not the XMR coins. The people who lost the addresses or resold without telling buyers are at fault here - collateral damage being the buyers of such coins. Indeed, Smoothie has always been privacy-centric about orders as well. This leads to the disconnect of no fulllist.txt etc etc... Not sure what to say here, that's up to him. Tongue

I'm not trying to get in this argument, but he has stood by this http://lealana.com/tac.php since day one, as I recall reading the last part and having a good chuckle. Cheesy

When I bought my first silver dime from him via his site/email in 08/2015, I funded it and it was like 35 USD. I paid more for the coin than the funding, imagine that.  Shocked

A few weeks later, the box arrived and it was empty. My only witness was my stepson, who was like 11 at the time and just wanted to see my "Hawaiian Bitcoin" coin... I told smoothie who said he'd never had this issue before and couldn't imagine scamming me (or me "scamming" him) for such a low amount (at the time) and I'm quite sure we both looked everywhere for it even though I knew it wasn't in the box for whatever reason (box was untampered registered mail as well) .... Anyhow, he sent me another coin for free after I re-funded a new address for the replacement coin. The old coin is still listed on this forum as missing or stolen with the public address, actually. Roll Eyes

Point being, you get what you get from certain makers. Smoothie has always been extra fair, we have always gotten along, both of us having been in the Monero thread back in 2014 and fighting trolls and so on, so he was (and still is) quite trustworthy to me.

That's not to say I agree or disagree with certain points in this thread either ... Except Rainbowsky, who should be nuked (again). Roll Eyes

Aloha Polymerbit,

Sorry man I can't share that information. We just designed the hologram, the company we used merely just printed it.

Took quite a bit of thought on the design.

Thank you for the compliment.

Mahalo,

Smoothie

Regardless, I think ALL your XMR holograms are the extremely beautiful! Those King Kamehameha coins being the most outstanding, IMO. Grin

I think you should take a quick video of you holding one or two of these bars in hand, I imagine they are 10x better looking than the pics. Tongue

KE KAUA PILIKINO PONO'I  — without using a translator and trying to remember from when I lived there, it is something about a battle or no?

This is what I found. Looking at some of the words individually, I think it may have something to do with covid and security/freedom/money, but ofc I may be wrong... :|

Yes you are also very close.

Looks like a female elf warrior riding some lion like armored beast riding into battle.  She appear to be mid swing of her weapon.

Yup a battle is close.

Secondary "Reserved" post has been updated with the Developers/Contributors to the Lithium Luna Monero Software Release.

Lealana would like to thank those who contributed. These people are doing great work and wanted to highlight their names where credit is due.

Looks cool, smoothie. Is there a story behind the design?

Hhampuz, yes there is a story behind the design.

The front has artwork that has meaning that I will explain in a later post.

QUESTION: When you look at the art what do you see? Serious question.

The back design has the date the software release came out, the blocks that that version encompassed on the Monero network (start block and end blocks).

It was the original intention to have the developers/contributors names on the hologram but in this version there was a mistake in the design finalization which disallowed this to happen.

I may include their usernames (etc) on to the metal certificates in semi-microtext list.

Smoothie....Job well done on the design of these coins. Love the finish as well.

Last time we talked was in 2017 so its good to see you back in business.

Does the binary in the back of the code translate to anything? If so, what?  Thanks

Hey Krog!

Thank you for the compliment.

Regarding the Binary this version does not have any specific meaning.

The artwork on the front has meaning but I will make a future post about it explaining it.

"KE KAUA PILIKINO PONO'I" is also on the back of the coins which has our own version of the translation which will come to light soon.

QUESTION: When you look at the art what do you see? Serious question.

As a separate topic multiple people have asked "Why 6.941 XMR denomination?"

The atomic weight of Lithium from the periodic table of elements is 6.941, hence 6.941 Monero denomination.

smoothie, you should just delete and repost it as a self-moderated submission.  This is ridiculous.

Here's a few points for people to consider.

- smoothie never promised ongoing support for his products.  Ever.
- If you think it's overpriced then don't buy it.  There's a ton of hard work that goes into these products that you don't see or know about.
- smoothie doesn't owe us anything.  Would I like help with an old purchase?  Yes.  Does he owe it to me?  No.
- If you think it looks like a Kialara then that's fine, but it's not a Kialara and he already said he did not collaborate with Max(Kialara).  Kialara doesn't own the copyright to "bars".
- smoothie has a life of his own and is free to come and go as he pleases.

If this is directed my way, I know all about what goes into the process and I can speak intelligently on the topic, thank you.
As far as your comment about never promising support.... it's ridiculous.  It would be one thing if smoothie bowed out to enjoy life and be gone from the community for good.  The fact that he comes back shilling a new item and just steps over all those customer PMs that were ignored is awful.  smoothie also posted that you should drop him a PM and he'd see if he could help you out.  Why wasn't it directed to everyone who has tried who needs his help??

Here is a better question.... why not just post all the addresses like all the other large makers??  What's so secret??  Why can't we put a tracker on them like ( https://casascius.uberbills.com/ ) does for the Casascius coins??  This would solve 95-98% of the support needed as well.  Then how tough is it top pop in once a quarter and check on some PMs to help the customers that helped make smoothie richer?  Small sacrifice IMO... but I believe in customer service, even after I have a customer's money.

There's nothing ridiculous about it.  He never promised to always be there for you and you need to just accept that and accept responsibility for your part in the process and the decisions you made.  In fact I am not aware of a single coin maker who has promised to always answer email and support their past products.

smoothie also posted that you should drop him a PM and he'd see if he could help you out.  Why wasn't it directed to everyone who has tried who needs his help??

I emailed him, he hasn't delivered yet but I'm willing to bet he will now that he is back and engaged.  I really can't ask for more and neither can you.

Here is a better question.... why not just post all the addresses like all the other large makers??  What's so secret??  Why can't we put a tracker on them like ( https://casascius.uberbills.com/ ) does for the Casascius coins??

In the case of his Monero coins the addresses are literally useless, that's the whole point of Monero.  Besides that, smoothie has always respected people's privacy to the point he sends you privnotes with information pertaining to your coins.  I personally appreciate that he respects my privacy but I realize we are all different.

Couldn’t agree more with this. He turned his coins into a nothing more than paperweights. This have been such a loss for few who bought these thinking they could load them only to find out there is no way to extract the addresses and sold them for pennies on a dollar..

Does these bars/coins come with any kind of support from you if needed in future? Unlike the BTC coins where members have send numerous messages regarding the BTC addresses on their Buyer Funded coins with absolutely 0 responses?

This product does not come with any "support" other than the information that is provided to the purchaser (addresses, view key info etc.) when they receive the coins in their possession.

It is the Buyer's responsibility to keep a copy of their address information that is sent to them.

Furthermore if the coins are purchased from a 3rd party seller that information needs to be requested from that specific seller.

There have been many people in the past who have sent requests who either kept losing their information more than once or the 3rd party seller simply neglected to provide the information to the Buyer.

People purchasing coins from 3rd party sellers would benefit from asking for the public information for a coin(s) before purchasing.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: If there is demand to include viewkey information (etc) on to the steel bar (housing) then that is something we can consider doing should there be enough demand to justify it.

This would mitigate the need to request view key or address information for a particular bar as it would be engraved on to the metal.

What’s the big difference in releasing the litecoin address list vs bitcoin address list. Atleast it’s good for people to cross check the coins they have... from my understanding there is a list that was released for litecoin loaded coins so why not do it for bitcoin addresses?

2020 silver coins with hologram base price at .05 btc.  Good luck though

Why should people buy these when you are non existent and unavailable?  What if someone needs help with a view key or something down the road??  SEVERAL people have been reaching out to you with questions about past releases and you answer none of them..... but yet here you are with an all new release ready to collect your bits. Roll Eyes  Have you answered all those previous PMs or are you just expecting people to buy these because you are smoothie?  Personally, if you did not answer my questions for months on end I would not buy any of these, but I'm simply not going to buy them because they are severely OVERPRICED and look far too much like a knock off Kialara.

Aloha Anoymousminer,

No one "should" buy anything.

I am not compelling anyone to purchase this product.

QUESTION: Do you have a specific order that was directly purchased from Lealana that we did not provide you with addresses with?

To be honest I have been enjoying life and taking time off with family hence my absence.

mahalo for your honesty

  • 6.941 XMR for funding (currently 0.046139 BTC)
  • 0.0055 BTC, if you want a different coin type
  • 0.011 BTC, if you want the rainbow metal finish
  • 0.0055 BTC, if you want to select a serial
  • 0.0055 BTC, if you want a custom message engraved.
  • 0.0055 BTC per coin, if you want a metal certificate

So it's about 0.0962BTC (around $1750) to get the most basic variant, correct?

Haven't checked your math but yes that sounds about right.

How are the serial numbers gonna run? Is each metal type gonna have its own number 1

No. There are only 200 coins. There will only be ONE #1, ONE #2, ONE #3 etc.

Is this a colab between you and Kialara?

"Kialana"...lol...but seriously, no we aren't doing a collab.

WARNING: If you are worried that you will not get a number you will like, please save yourself time and money and do not pay to select specific numbers. Should your number NOT be available for the coin you prefer for all three numbers you selected, you will receive the next lowest number that is available.

Should you choose, you can pay 0.85 XMR / 0.0055 BTC PER coin to select your preferred number (if it is still available).

#’s 1 through 5 are not available and may end up being auctioned off in the future.

   How it works -
   1. Send payment of 0.85 XMR / 0.0055 BTC per coin for your order
   2. Write a list of THREE preferred numbers per coin you would like to choose from in order of most desirable first and least desirable last.

         Example =

               COIN 1 - #12, #38, #99
               COIN 2 - #13, #51, #100
               COIN 3 - #16, #23, #101

CUSTOM MESSAGE ENGRAVING (Add 0.85 XMR / 0.0055 BTC) -
We are offering custom messages to be engraved on each steel housing for any occasion (Birthday, Graduation, Anniversary, or just because). Custom messages cannot be used in a defamatory way or include any private information normally not allowed on most websites. We reserve the right to require you to modify your custom message should it be deem “inappropriate”.

How it works:
   0. Cost = 0.85 XMR / 0.0055 BTC per engraved unit.
   1. Send your text in QUOTES along with your order/payment.
Example: “Happy Anniversary Mark and Amy!”
   2. All engraved messages have a maximum of SIXTY (60) characters allowed per steel housing.
   3. Font, Size, Placement on Metal, and orientation of your custom message are at Lealana’s sole discretion.
   4. Custom engraving adds ONE week to the current turnaround timeline for your order.

How would one redeem a LEALANA PHYSICAL MONERO (XMR) coin?
1. Peel back hologram exposing base64 private spend key
2. Convert base64 key to hexadecimal
3. Run the following (syntax may vary for different operating systems):
        a. ./simplewallet --generate-from-keys
        b. Input standard address (xmr address)

        c. Input hex spend key (from step #2)

        d. Input hex view key (from file or COA)
4. In order to spend/transfer them you will need to make sure your daemon is up to date on the monero main net.

The process overview:

1. Base64 Keys generated on a air-gapped computer
2. Keys cut and assembled into coins
3. XMR address given to customer
4. Customer funds coin address & Lealana confirms the coin is funded
5. All information except private spend key is transferred burned to a CD to be transferred to a live node.
6. View only wallets for addresses are created on live node and extracts output_public_key, index, amount, and tx_id for each output from funding from the monero blockchain and burned to a new CD.
7. Both CDs are destroyed and never used again.
8. Air gapped computer:
   a. calculates key_image for each output
   b. hashes all output information (as denoted between the tag lines ----START---- and ----END----)
   c. uses that hash to compute a signature using a degenerated monero ring signature (signs a single output with the private spend key, i.e. 1 sig per output)

EXAMPLE CERTIFICATE BELOW (DESIGN FORMAT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

9. Private spend key is then destroyed on air gapped computer once key images and signatures are created and is funded with the face value of coin.

Were there any errors during production of these silver coins?

There was a slight orientation of design mismatch on the back of the coin. (Turn your head slightly to the left when looking at the back of the coin/metal combo).

How did you secure the screws to the steel housing?
1. Applied J-B Weld 5020 PSI Higher Strength Formula (Cold-weld) to screws and threads.
2. Allowed time for curing.
3. Drilled screw heads out.

FRONT ART ALIGNMENT
The artwork of the metal and the coin will be put together on a best effort basis. No coin alignment is perfect, no coin is perfect either, no steel piece is perfect, therefore a best effort attempt to align the artwork on the coin and steel will be done to the best ability as possible. Note - each piece will have it’s own unique qualities.

Monero Development Donation
In an effort to help support the continued development of Monero, a portion of each sale will be donated to the monero development donation address. Donations will likely be done on a monthly basis.
There is hidden text behind a blacked out part of the coin on the back images which will be revealed at a later point in time.
