"more than 80% of pools operators launch their projects without having a minimum of computer knowledge (copy paste)"

Meanwhile, copy/pastes their pool and miner.. I guess it's ok as you're experts  Undecided

Idk any competent developers who call themselves expert and shit on less skilled peers.

Anyhow good luck, hope ya's choose a more positive message.

Its a good miner. Nothing special. No virus that I have found. Not fast as I hoped. (yet ?)

Checked it yesterday and found interesting moments - average hashrate lower than regular ccminer 2.2.6 and 2.3 (lyra2z algo)
Also much lower shares come to pool, not immediately, but after a while (gos.cx)

PS https://www.virustotal.com/ru/file/bfd7395df804fb9c8c750d32de752ee611b8415cc5cd95acc945b5061c5a82c0/analysis/1530102718/

human stupidity wouldn't be cured !!!! I don't  understand why you add a Trojan to the exe and analyze it on virustotal !!!!!

I take the opportunity to ask people to don't trust any link apart our official https://github.com/ourpool/ourminer to download OurMiner.

First , we would like to say that's very bad to receive some feedback attacking our work on incorrect grounds just to harm our image and damage our reputation , we would like to confirm to them that we aren't going to stop working and moving forward, btw we are certain that unfortunately they are part of some unwell competitors.

@jbeck, Thank you for your feedback, we also understand your doubt and fear, but let me tell you one thing:

Ourpool team has developped its first project OurPool.net. thereafter and as already explained we decided to develop our proper Miner with high performances with which we work ourselves and we shared it with everyone to allow them to mine efficiently for free since our goal wasn't earn money from OurMiner but Ourpool.net, we invite you to take a look at ourPool.Net you will have an idea about our work.

Finally I would like to inform our dear miners that we are currently working on a more efficient version and that we are going to pimp it soon.

our pool.   It is unfortunate that you released this work at a time when another miner "Delosminer" was caught stealing and infecting mining rigs.   They also were closed sourced and were also asked to show their work.
In today's time most miners are very skeptical of any closed sourced software.   I understand that you say you have put a lot of effort into your program and dont want it stolen.  You need to understand that this community requires open source work unless you have earned a great deal of trust over years.   If your miner is as good as you say then you should not offer it without fees.  It could look very suspicious.
Do you know the term "too good to be true"?   Well that's what I am thinking.

Getting angry at posters just makes matters worse.  I personalty will not try your software until I see it open or hear from some other trusted publisher that what you have developed is safe.
I feel your pain and frustration but you have to meet us half way.
Good luck with your project.   I am anxious to try your app.

If it’s closed source, assume malware that will steal your coins. Delosminer just got caught doing this and emptying people’s wallets.

If this miner is truly “free” publish the source or else by default this is a piece of malware that will steal everyone’s money.

Stop judging people stupidly !
We have explained the reason and you stay free to work with our solution or not ,even develop your proper miner to be sure that you aren't stolen (even I doubt that you can do it)

I moved back to coolminer. I get better hash rates poolside with coolminer, but I applaud the effort
Me too on Bsod GIN. Then I moved to MCT on gos.cx and everything ok
I come back to coolminer and got a same problem, hash rates report on pool bsod lower than before, maybe bsod issues

I moved back to coolminer. I get better hash rates poolside with coolminer, but I applaud the effort

found same issue, have switch back CCminer 2.2.5,even slower hash rate at local side, but higher accepted share and hashrate at pool side, have compared with 2 6x1080ti rig with same setting and pool and time.

hope they can fix this in later.

it is absolutely necessary to adjust the difficulty according to your hash, the difficulty for a rig of 6x1080 TI should't be the same for a rig of 6X1070, so you have to adjust the difficulty according to your hash. we recommend to adjust the difficlty manualy and doing the same for intensity according to GPU perfroamances and machine resources.
even if you have an ASIC with 15GH/s and low difficulty you wont have this hash in the pool.
Hoping that's clear !

OurPool team
have tested used same difficicy d=18 on both rigs.
thanks

Why is it closed source ?

Not share the code source is a choice of the developpement team wich worked so hard on the solution and maked a big effort to increase the hash for algo X16 and Lyra2z .
so Team canno't simply share their work on GitHub because it can be taken by somone Smiley

OurPool Team
Isn't it the whole purpose of Github? To share the code for everyone to develop further?
If you really had no dev fee embedded in your code, surely you shouldn't be worried about someone "stealing" it, right?...

Free and closed.
Yeah, right.

can confirm here too that this miner is a few % faster than other miners and whats really interesting is that one of my 1080s have underperformed in every algo and every miner compared to my other 1080s... until this miner which sets it at par with any of my other 1080-cards. Very very good job and no fee too? Its a no-brainer Smiley

Excelent job!

New test on my rigs... after a full day of mining with coolMiner I reached between 21.5MHs and 21.7MHs on lyra2z with 6x 1080ti. Same settings with this miner 22.0MHs and no fees.

Staying with you guys. I will take a look at your pool too

Any vets try this yet? Closed source free miner has me skeptical

Sources code :
We explained why we can't share the code source , it can be exploited by somone ... see our answer above.

Fees:
We are transparent about it and we confirm you again that OurMiner is 100% free, if you have any doubts you can install a proxy locally on your machine and go through it to a pool to save all the queries sent by OurMiner, so you'll have the answer Smiley

Finally our goal is to develop reliable soltuions like OurPool and OurMiner !

and thank you for your relevant remark Smiley !

just registered and want to say thanks, it's very good speed at 6x 1080ti rig for the lyra2z. average speed about 22.3 MH/s (x32 version/  i 21)
GPU setting pw 65% core +91 mem -502 . total power :930w according the power meter.

with same setting have tested ccminer 2.2.5 and coolminer 1.4
result as below:

ccminer 2.2.5 : speed 19.7MH/s ,power 945w
coominer 1.4 : speed 21.7MH/s(with 1%dev fee),power 980w

So this miner was the fastest lyra2z speed with the lowest power consumed and be claimed free.

great thanks if it's real free at this bearfish and dark marketing time

hope you guys could tested and compare your result.

thanks

trying right now... let's see. My comparison will be done with coolminer for algo lyra2z on 6x 1080ti rig. Actually after a couple of minutes it seems that they are exactly the same. It's goin up very slowly but almost all the 1080ti are running at 3600Kh/s. Overclock settings is +100gpu -500mem and 90%tdp but with lyra2z it doesnt matter since they are fixed at 130w.

Marco

For optimal results, it is recommended to run OurMiner for at least 30 minutes to reach max of hash...

Otherwise, if you have a very good machine resources (8 to 16GB of RAM and big swap file), try to test with an intensity of 20 it will increase your hash quickly and you will have good results.

Thanks for testing ourMiner Smiley

Dear Miners,

We are extremely pleased to announce the launch of our new miner called OurMiner, it’s the fork of ccminer developed by OurPool.net team.
We worked hard on OurMiner to improve the following algos : Lyra2z, X16r and X16s
Please find below the performances for each algo :

- X16r and x16s : with OurMiner the performances are highest with 5% to 8% compared to ccminer 2.2.6 or others miner

- Lyra2z : with OurMiner the performances are highest with 7% to 9% compared to ccminer 2.2.6 or others miner

OurMiner 1.0.0 :

- Compiled with CUDA 9.1
- Compiled with MVS 2015
- Built with a new version of curl for fast transferring data to increase shares
- The kernel is improved for each Algo and currently we support following Algos : X16r, X16s and Lyra2Z

Recommendation:

Update your NVIDIA drivers to V390+ for best performances

Algo Lyra2z :
- The recommended intensity is at least 17.
- Overcloking recomended : +120 to 150 Core, 0 Memory, TDP :70%

Next version ?
Yes, Currently we work on another version with the last version of CUDA 9.2 always in order to improve performances.

Dev Fee ?
Don't worry there is no fee
it's free Smiley
