take away NFT from Raydium and Magic Eden

If you had at least 1$ RAY staked before December 23, 13:00 GMT + 3 you can brand Raydium X Magic Eden Holiday NFT!
You can brand NFT by the link - https://raydium.io/staking/
So far there is practically no sense (it gives a 2% discount on purchases through nft.raydium.io until January 1).
Perhaps in the future, some retroairdrop will arrive as it was with GODS and their NFT cards

Interesting post about solana:
tl;dr: only validators can front-run the larger stack, the more likely you are to get a fat transfer and front it off.
I don't know if this is relevant at the moment, this statement was relevant 7 months ago.

Michael Jordan Jumps Into Web3 via Solana App for Athletes

Six-time NBA champion and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan is the latest celebrity to see potential in how crypto and Web3 technology can connect athletes and entertainers with fans. Today, Jordan revealed plans to launch a fan engagement app platform built on Solana.

The platform, HEIR, is designed to link professional athletes with their most ardent supporters. It will feature an HEIR token minted on the Solana blockchain, and will showcase NFT assets along with community-building features that let fans join an athlete’s limited-capacity “huddle” for exclusive access and benefits.

Parent company HEIR Inc. has been co-founded by Michael and his son, Jeffrey Jordan, and it has raised $10 million in seed funding to launch “culturally-inspired consumer brands rooted in tech and entertainment,” per a release.

Solana Ventures Looks to Boost Web 3 Gaming With Launch of $150M Fund

nvestors have bet big on the future of play-to-earn gaming, and they aren’t done yet.
Solana Ventures, Forte and Griffin Gaming Partners have pledged to invest $150 million in Web 3 game builders, the companies announced Tuesday.

The initiative is the second major investment Solana Ventures has made into the blockchain’s gaming ecosystem, the first being a $100 million fund co-led by FTX and Lightspeed in November.
Griffin says it has now invested over $400 million into gaming and Web 3 companies in the past two years, according to a press release.

Web 3 gaming has been a main attraction for blockchain investors in recent months, with Solana being of particular interest for its low costs and high transaction speeds.

The metaverse is set to get a little more crowded as a new Solana-based startup has raised $4.3 million from leading venture capital firms.

The round was led by Zhu Su’s Three Arrows Capital, DeFiance Capital and Animoca Brands. Alameda Research, Jump Capital, Genblock Capital, KuCoin Labs, Solar Eco Fund, CMS Holdings, Rarestone Capital and others also participated.

Solana Names Service

The principle of operation is similar to ENS:
1. Choose a domain name.
2. Start an auction.
3. Place your bet. Minimum - 2.5 FIDA ≈ $ 22.
4. Wait 3 days and pick up * name * .sol, if no one outbid

After the name auction, get ready to host Solana. However, not all services support the feature.
Phantom supports.

Unlike ENS, domains are bought forever.
Resell is possible, but a commission from 1% to 5% is charged for it. Komsa is calculated on the basis of the transaction amount.

Did you make it to the conference?   I was there, and never saw one like it.   It kind of took over the whole City.  And I could not believe how beautiful Lisbon was.  Can't wait to come back.   Met a huge number of incredible, brilliant people.

Yes, Andre actually asked Anatoly in a DeFi clubhouse a few weeks back and Anatoly said it’s been in progress for awhile but doesn’t know how much longer it will take.

Wait... What?
Hey!

I noticed Solana doesn't have a Bitcointalk ANN, so as an avid supporter I thought I'd create one:
(this is community led, I am not directly affiliated with Solana)

--snip--

What we got here? As an "avid supporter", you seems quite hesitant yo use your own account to show your support that you specifically created a new account to post on their behalf. And why the self moderated? If it is community led (and oriented), shouldn't the community has the freedom to post?

What Is Solana (SOL)?
Solana is a highly functional open source project that banks on blockchain technology’s permissionless nature to provide decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions. While the idea and initial work on the project began in 2017, Solana was officially launched in March 2020 by the Solana Foundation with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Solana protocol is designed to facilitate decentralized app (DApp) creation. It aims to improve scalability by introducing a proof-of-history (PoH) consensus combined with the underlying proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus of the blockchain.

Because of the innovative hybrid consensus model, Solana enjoys interest from small-time traders and institutional traders alike. A significant focus for the Solana Foundation is to make decentralized finance accessible on a larger scale.

Who Are the Founders of Solana?
Anatoly Yakovenko is the most important person behind Solana. His professional career started at Qualcomm, where he quickly moved up the ranks and became senior staff engineer manager in 2015. Later on, his professional path shifted, and Yakovenko entered a new position as a software engineer at Dropbox.

In 2017, Yakovenko started working on a project which would later materialize as Solana. He teamed up with his Qualcomm colleague Greg Fitzgerald, and they founded a project called Solana Labs. Attracting several more former Qualcomm colleagues in the process, the Solana protocol and SOL token were released to the public in 2020.

What Makes Solana Unique?
One of the essential innovations Solana brings to the table is the proof-of-history (PoH) consensus developed by Anatoly Yakovenko. This concept allows for greater scalability of the protocol, which in turn boosts usability.

Solana is known in the cryptocurrency space because of the incredibly short processing times the blockchain offers. Solana’s hybrid protocol allows for significantly decreased validation times for both transaction and smart contract execution. With lightning-fast processing times, Solana has attracted a lot of institutional interest as well.

The Solana protocol is intended to serve both small-time users and enterprise customers alike. One of Solana’s main promises to customers is that they will not be surprised by increased fees and taxes. The protocol is designed in such a way as to have low transaction costs while still guaranteeing scalability and fast processing.

Combined with the longstanding professional expertise creators Anatoly Yakovenko and Greg Fitzgerald bring to the project, Solana is ranked number 42 in the CoinMarketCap ranking as of February 2021.

Wow, about time!

Hottest blockchain in crypto probably needs an ANN lol.
