The location based peer-to-peer video streaming part of the STRIM Network is different from what you described. It has nothing to do with a home media server, but it will facilitate video streaming between two peers from anywhere in the world.Think any mobile device user would be able to "strim" a video from the specific location he is in (which can be a pub, a concert, a football match, on the street during a live event that is happening now - anybody could become a reporter etc) while other users will see a map of all these streamers and will be able to access them if they want to.
In this way anybody can contribute with their video (or device sensors - 2nd part of the STRIM Network see the Whitepaper for more details) to the network and receive STRIM tokens as reward.

Hi again..., I saw somewhere that you are going to offer the option to store the video? Couldn't the user receiving this content actually save it locally to his system?

We aim to also deliver a 3rd party cloud hosted option to our users, but you could definitely save the recordings locally if you so choose.
in order to be able to share them later through our system, and have the option to get money for them, you would need the cloud hosted integration.
We can even offer a different hosting mechanism, to store the files on our systems, with a different fee plan.

The Video Streaming is indeed one of the main features of the STRIM Network project.
A user will be able to choose between the type of video stream (strim) and the level of public information they want to share. For example let's say that you want to see a live party from a certain location and are willing to pay for it. You want to see the streamer's location on the map to make sure they are actually there.
Also, there will be an option to hide the users location on the map and that will be called a Private Stream.

Generally speaking, data by itself does not have a positive or a negative characteristic, only the way you use the data can have either a positive or negative impact.
As for protecting against fraudulent data:
- For the video streaming/recording, real users will actually use that data and they will have the option to decide if it's real or not;
- For the raw sensor data we will have a security mechanism in place for the user accounts to be verified. This will confirm that the data mined by them is accurate and the offered token reward will vary based on the scarcity of the data.

We will be selling the data gathered from the sensors through our system for commercial use while offering it free for non-commercial use, and, as the development and usage of the STRIM Network progresses, we might charge a VERY SMALL fee from the video streaming transactions so that we can continue developing and improving the system.

I hope you don't mind I translated your post so everyone can read it.
Our project will be part decentralized in which you will be able to do peer to peer and multi-peer live video streaming. This part will be completely decentralized. Over this we want to also offer the option to store this live stream in a decentralized location that the user chooses such as: Storj, SIA, Maidsafe, IPFS, etc.The second part will be centralized.
The idea came to us when we started thinking that the mobile devices that are used for video streaming have a series of sensors that could be used for data mining, for which the user could be paid for. This can be expanded to much more sensors and devices, for which we would like to build a data pool. This pool of data will be then made freely available for non commercial use and on a contract basis for Licenses for internal, OEM, and asset tracking implementations.

1. A positive level of trust in your account.
2. Write at least 8 posts a week.
3. At least 3 post should be in the main STRIM Announcement topic.
4. Accounts have to be at least in a Jr.Member rank.

1. Write at least 8 posts a week in such subreddits like:

2. As our project currently does not have a dedicated reddit sub and in order to increase karma, every comment posted by the user ‘strimteam’ must be upvoted
3. Account must have a minimum of 20 comment karma and be at least 20 days old.

Translation Bounties
We are currently interested in Russian and Chinese translations of our site and Whitepaper. For these accomplishments the bounties are as follows:
Russian Translation: 3500 STR
ChineseTranslation: 3500 STR
More translations in other languages may also be required so stay tuned for the bounties.
Disclaimer and clarifications:
The bounty rewards are limited to 1000 users. Users that fulfill the bounties on ALL social media channels have priority
The bounty STR Tokens will be credited to each user 1 week after the end of the ICO, pending ICO success. Additionally, the bounty amounts above are awarded if the project reaches at least the second funding Milestone as described in the Whitepaper, otherwise they may be reduced.
