LOL! I'm not that bad though there are times when I prefer it, I'm a lot like George Carlin was in the social respect though, I do like people and get along with some people very well, but the majority of the time I can only stand them in short bursts.

WOOT! Now it's over at last! Even the altcoin markets are slowly getting back to normal now Tongue Blink blink activity Cheesy

Yeah, timezones and that sucks, it could be worse really because when there's too many you often get ridiculous stuff that you're never going to use but thankfully the family knows better now and usually at least give me stuff that's useful and won't just act as clutter in my room, well most of the time anyway. I got £50 for Christmas so I can buy a big chunk of silver and gemstones and expand my business some more with that Tongue

2. The one relative who drinks to much and is totally wasted like 15.00 (3pm)..

I'm that relative. In fact I've been drunk since the 23rd evening. I will be totally wasted non stop until the 25th night.

Otherwise, what's the purpose?

Aquavit for breakfast!

Almost over, I had a pizza stashed away for the evening and now I've finished one necklace for my mum and another for my grandma now I will hide in my bedroom until tomorrow, brace myself for acting happy about getting presents forced on me without people asking what I actually wanted to avoid problems and then lock myself in my room again >_<.

If everybody spread things out more it wouldn't take so much time and wouldn't be such a hassle, mathematical fact.
Well, yeah. However, human beings are sometimes unpractical for no apparent reason. If we want to spen the least time messing with tedious chores, we have to think logically everywhere we go, which is really difficult for some people.

So yesterday we had to go shopping and while we did get stuff done it took something like 2 to 2 1/2 hours just to get about and get back home, in that time I could have been halfway towards finishing some work lol and it was just to get some meat for the Christmas dinner, by the way this might seem bad too but I was quite happy with the weather because it means there will be less people hanging around causing trouble for other people Tongue.
Well, you know: holiday's take a lot of time and preparation.

There is no snow here, so Christmas is canceled if you ask me.
Same here. Only small shoveled and dirty piles left. Maybe it'll snow in the following days, although I doubt it.

Most of you simply have missed the point about xmas. It's 'bout love and unity. Do yourselves a favor and listen to your own hearts, feel the meaning of life. Try to develop your very own special sense for it and you'll find yourselves wondering 'bout yourselves struggling with small minded problems like "doing present to someone you don't like" or blaming your poor existence for xmas.

to get a hunch for it check out my favorite xmas vid

My anually occuring, favorite christmas news story seems to fit here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o88tDmF7cEk

It's the Gävle goat burning (yet again). My all time favorite is 2005 when a single burning arrow shot from the treeline torched it, cant seem to find a video of it.
I actually thought it was going to make it this year. But the tradition lives on!

I don't care for Christmas, it's only fun for kids really. Now it's just another day. I usually don't even buy people presents either, but I got my mum and dad some this year. I tell peeps not to get me stuff, but they always do. We're having Christmas day tomorrow because both my Mum and Auntie are working on Christmas day, but I'm not really looking forward to it and all the same old questions they ask me every year that always have the same answers.

You can get round it by asking them if they actually want anything and that way you can also not fuck up giving them the present as well, I think most of my family has finally agreed the secrecy part of Christmas is stupid and doesn't work.

The Origin of Christmas Presents
In pre-Christian Rome, the emperors compelled their most despised citizens to bring offerings and gifts during the Saturnalia (in December) and Kalends (in January).  Later, this ritual expanded to include gift-giving among the general populace.  The Catholic Church gave this custom a Christian flavor by re-rooting it in the supposed gift-giving of Saint Nicholas.

Thats why we giving each other christmas gifts

One thing i don't like in christmas is You have to buy another person a gift. For me more important is to be with the person i Love like My gf my mom dad brother etc. Than buying something that don't give them that Love. I know there are some presents that really make people happy. But they make them Love You more ?

Okay, the annoying things:
1. Talking with the relatives you do not like and just annoys you.
2. The one relative who drinks to much and is totally wasted like 15.00 (3pm).
3. That you have to buy christmas presents to people that don't want or need anything.
4. Writing rhymes for all presents (I don't know if people outside of Sweden does so?)

Otherwise I think Christmas is really nice. I actually look forward to it this year.

You have to write rhymes for the presents? That's hilarious...

My Christmas is going to be a little different from previous years, but it's going to be something like, good dinner, get drunk, gift exchange at midnight and it's done. Smiley

So yeah, considering it's only 4 days away until Christmas ( or less depending on the timezone you're in ) maybe we should have an annual rant about the annoying things you have to deal with at Christmas, somehow even though it's only a few people coming my mum in particular has gotten into that overexcited must-annoy-and-pester-everybody phase so now I think I'm going to lock myself in my room with a riot shield and several cans of beans so I can survive the week Sad >_<.
