Binance so far is still his best bet for now and hopefully if they are still allowing registration, he should be able to get his transactions done. Since he already said it is not something that much, I am sure it may not even be up to 2btc and since binance allows 2btc withdrawal daily, he should not have a problem at all. I wonder why a lot of people always look for anonymity with exchanges though like they are running ways from something.

What reliable exchanges are there which do not require to submit personal information?

I have a few altcoin (clam, bch, btg) which I want to exchange into Bitcoin, but I don't want to give out my data.

I'm not looking to convert to fiat, just between the coins.

Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be a full blown trading site, just a fair and quick exchange.

If you are looking for an exchange that would not require you to submit any information, then you can make use of binance, being the only reputable one I can spot out and will allow you to withdraw 2btc daily. You also have to understand that in this scenario, anything can end up changing just like bittrex and binance may require you to still do exactly what you have been running away from in the first place. Be careful of a fair and quick exchange; otherwise look for a local OTC seller in your region instead.

Well, you can use etherdelta very common exchanger one of the limitless exchangers, you can also use idex amd forkdelta same as etherdelta. You can also use HitBTC aince they only need gmail, you can create even it is not your full name or what. Same as houbi there are many exchangers that you don't need to submit your ID. You can trade there as much as you want.

That is poloniex, and he does not have to make use of that. If he is able to register on binance, he should be able to get that done easily since they give 2btc daily in withdrawal and since the OP has claimed he us just trying to do little transaction, unless his own little is big in some other people's eye, I am not sure 2btc should be considered little, so I want to assume he should be transacting lesser.

Maybe you can try coinexchange.io | Bit-Z | or Bitflip.li
These exchanges not required personal information ID.

Yup there are several exchanges that provide this currently. You can trade on Binance (up to 2 BTC), Etherdelta (unlimited), and I believe Poloniex as well (2k limit).
Binance doesn't have fiat pairs. They trade BTC / USDT which is still not fiat. Anyway they look like the only decent exchange with high unverified limits . Etherdelta is obviously working with ether and different tokens which won't be needed by OP. And before  verifying Poloniex account you will have 0$ daily withdrawal limit that will extend to 25k after verification, I've been checking this thing recently.
The OP did not ask for fiat pairs, he asked for a platform he can change his altcoins into btc without having to do any KYC verification and from the look of things, the only best place he can do that is on Binance.

Etherdelta is even already becoming a pain in the ass now since that split and since what he is exchanging is not even tokens, it will not work. With your last statement, I have honestly wondered why people are afraid of sharing their data with exchanges and skeptical about KYC. I still have not gotten a concrete answer to that.

Etherdelta is the best DEX so far, but still have a lot of problem on their interface. But now, we can use ForkDelta. This DEX still using the same smart contract.

I don’t know of any exchanges that convert crypto currencies to fiat money without KYC and providing personal details. Although there are quite many anonymous exchanges in which you can convert your altcoins to bitcoins namely :
1.   Binance (upto 2 BTC)
2.   Bittrex
3.   Yobit
4.   Poloniex
5.   Shapeshift
6.   Kucoin
7.   Hitbtc

Out of all of these, I would personally recommend to use binance as the deposit and withdrawals are pretty fast and its easy to use.

Kucoin does not want any documents, at least I did the transaction smoothly when I did Bitcoin transfer 1 month ago. Poloniex has a limited use, it does not want the same document.

Mercatox, Gate, Liqui and Coinexchange are the exchanges I recently used. They don't have that much volumes and is new to exchanges but they have the potential to be soon have a higher volumes and get more traders, actually some of them has a lending too so you can check them out if you want.

Binance and Kucoin are the best exchange that you no need to verify your account to trade but the problem is I don't know if your coins and tokens listed on these exchange or not. If they already listed on Binance or Kucoin, you can use these exchange to sell your coins for BTC or ETH if you want without verifying your exchange account with your identity.

Go to coinmarketcap and see what's inside or some legit site that recommends almost all the availability of a coin and where are they listed on their webiste and considers a value of nothing . %2-10 odds of winning and profit. i can also relate to that as much as possible don't allow yourself to be involved in this kind of thing.

But in poloniex you need to verify your account so you can get more than 2btc withdraw daily.

The idea is to "exchange" so that will be fine to OP.

Verifications and submitting personal documents only needed to increase limits and I think the Basic Account limit of most of the exchanges is enough for OP. Well no room for complaining as if OP wants to do large withdrawals then no way to do that unless proceeding in a verification process.

Binance has a faq entry where it describes how to unlock an account by submitting eg your passport (https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003798792-How-to-Unlock-Account)

The TOS os Hitbtc also talk about KYC: "12.3 (c) agree to pass through AML/KYC procedures, which may be applied to You from time to time;"

Poloniex says that it bascially can randomly lock up your account too ("11. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy")

If only my local bank would allow exchanging crypto; they already have all my information and I do trust them. But with the exchanges the feeling in my guts isn't too positive.

I can currently trade on your mentioned exchange as a Basic Account without any problem. If you are still on dount then test some for small amount (take note of fees) and see for yourself.

I think that is why we should push and support those that has the desired to get us a decentralized exchange. Etherdelta is trying it best to provide us with opportunities to make large trading and many are even against it and called it a scam. The centralized exchange who make money through limiting the withdrawal limit has will ever be against the decentralized system.

by default, if anonymity is of interest, then we should look towards decentralized exchanges (forkdelta, idex). As already written above, many exchanges also do not require the provision of personal information, with certain restrictions on the withdrawal of funds in this case

When the tyrant govs will force all exchanges to require ID verification, i think many people will switch to decentralized exchanges.

But for now it is still unnecessary as long as many "normal" exchanges are anonymous ( Binance, Cryptopia, OkEx as well i guess ).

Anonymous exchanges are too risky if they are not well known and established, using shapeshift or changelly may save your time and effort by simply depositing minimum amount of coins to the given addresses to convert desired coins however if you can search their reviews and overall reputation you can see that there are tons of complaints and technical concerns about their platforms, anyways use them at your own risk, you can easily navigate the conversion by using coinpayments website or waves platform, waves are decentralized wallet and exchange.

Ive been using binance and since then Im not yet  encountering any problem with them. Its a big exchange and one of the trusted exchange. There were exchanges also like Mercatox and Etherdelta, Im also using these exchanges for some of my token, its offering good price and most likely a basis of all prices. Remeber that exchange is not a wallet, never store big volume of xoins in any exchange you have no full control over it.

you can simply uses shapeshift , it is an exchanger ,you don't even need to sign up and give your email address!
So easy to use .
I agree with you, if you do not want to give your email address. you can use shapeshift, because it is very safe and comfortable to use. but if you do not like shapeshift you can also use Changelly. in changgelly you can see your past transactions. besides that Changelly is also active and ready to help you if you have problem in their platform.
Not sure about changelly exchange but the last time I checked shape shift exchange don't do the conversion of crypto currency into Fiat and the OP is looking for an anonymous exchanges which is personal information free and convert crypto into fiat.

Yes, if using Poloniex we will need to verify the correct information in order to use the account in the best way. I think, in this case, the most reasonable choice is probably Binance, its daily withdrawal limit for unverified accounts is 2BTC, a figure that is probably enough. However, I think we should verify the information so that the accounts are safer, the daily withdrawal limit will also be higher.

Can I learn what the reason is? Are you hacker? In my opinion popular exchanges ( Binance, Bitfinex, Hitbtc, Bithump) are the most reliable, if you want to deposit money, but if you need exchange for money laundering, I not advise it. Something is not right in the thread and i can't understand the reason behind this request. Huh

Okay, so I registered with Polonies and that was quite a letdown.
In order to deposit BCH I first would have to fill out my profile with address and so on. So no exchanging there.

To be an anonymous is really hard and whats the purpose of that by the way if you just want to trade.
I don't know the reason why you don't like to do it but yeah its all up to you.
I've been burned before with having my personal data being sold (or the site "getting hacked"), so I gave up trusting online services. As said before, I do trust eg my (fiat) bank and would exchange there if I could, but I won't give identifiable away anymore online.

I would highly recommend Poloniex, i have been using it for a long time and by far it is the best one of all the exchange sites out there, not only it supports a lot of coins from newly released ones to the popular currencies, but it allows you to exchange between them with the lowest fee, so you can do your trading at anytime, as for the anonymoity you don't need to submit any personal information, you can make an account deposit your btc and start exchanging.

First you want to know what are the exchanges that the coins you mention are being listed and after that try to register an account and then if you really don't want to reveal any of your details then better to sold it to people personally. I don't know the reason why you don't like to do it but yeah its all up to you.

Most other non p2p exchanges are semi anon, but that's not anonymous like you asked.

The OP just don't want to give personal data from the exchanges. I do not agree for Binance it requires a passport ID to be verified in trading but what can we do wether we like it or not we should give KYC for the sake of safe trading. Giving KYC now to a trusted exchanger like binance is not a big deal.
To be an anonymous is really hard and whats the purpose of that by the way if you just want to trade.

I know about Shapeshift. It is anonymous crypto-currency exchanger, which allows you to exchange crypto-currency with a minimum commission for 2 minutes without registering on the site. The exchanger is made using innovative technologies with a super-protection system. The site is very easy to use, there is a choice of language. And most importantly, the site has the opportunity to exchange various new tokens, represented on the market.

There are several Bitcoin exchanges in the market that allow you to use the services without verifying your identity. This means that there is no need to provide any personal information during registration. In exchange for an anonymous bittacquine, in most cases you will need to provide an email and a password and you can trade immediately. The identity verification process at Bitcoin Exchanges usually provides personal details such as name, address, birth date and proof of identity proof and residence document. . Most of the affiliate AML-Anti-Money Laundering - and KYC's identity verification process is required - Know your customer - Applicable regulations where they are working

There a few you can try out.
Bitfinex is probably the most known one. However new users need at least to deposit cryptos worth $10k. This is just to activate your account for trading. You can reduce your account balance after that and still trade.
However you will only be able to deposit and withdraw cryptos as an unverified user. For depositing cash or withdraw cash you need to do KYC/AML verification process.

Other exchanges have already been named here.
HitBTC, Binance, Bitmex, OKEx, Cryptopia are the ones I have tried and still use some of them.

Thanks for all the replies.

I took some time and checked some of the mentioned exchanges. Maybe I just don't understand it correctly, but it sounds like they can do KYC whenever they want.

Binance has a faq entry where it describes how to unlock an account by submitting eg your passport (https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003798792-How-to-Unlock-Account)

Poloniex says that it bascially can randomly lock up your account too ("11. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy")

As for BISQ, is it safe? If I correctly understand it, then it should not be possible to get scammed by your trading partner, right?

I really don't like the idea of having an account lockup looming on the horizon at a random time, freezing your funds, just because you hit some unexplained trigger. That's pretty much like Paypal.

If only my local bank would allow exchanging crypto; they already have all my information and I do trust them. But with the exchanges the feeling in my guts isn't too positive.

If you dont want to give your personal info then go to a decentralized exchange like etherdelta and forkdelta exchange but ED have issues now. Also i recommend kucoin and binance exchange doesn't need to do KYC to start trading, deposit and withdraw your coins.

OP, the closest to an "anonymous exchange" that you can start using today is BISQ, https://bisq.network/

It is really a decentralized exchange where you can directly trade with other people in the exchange in a peer to peer fashion, without a middleman.

It cannot be stopped by any regulator, it's censorship resistant giving you the ability to make the trade, and it's decentralized. It is the future of trading cryptocurrencies.

Decentralized Trading? BISQ, use it. https://bisq.network/

Also hitbtc don't have any require KYC so you can trade all you want but there's a fee if you'll deposit to their platform but you can easily trade your coins there as they also have a high trading volume. And all your withdrawals is safe because you need to verify first an email sent to you so the withdrawal will proceed. So it's still safe though there's some issues that sometimes hitbtc fail to respond so if you see that their site is under maintenance don't transact anything.

Poloniex did hit users with a verification form and its users have been facing every now and then. Although, ever since it was acquired by Circle, we can expect a drastic improvement in all these things. It was the top exchange at one time, hope it regains that title again. As far as I know, there are not many decentralised exchanges and those that exist have very low volume.

As far as I know, in Binance, Kucoin, Poloniex is not requiring personal data when dealing. These are reputable trading sites and do not have any bad news about them. You can trust them and trade quickly. Transaction amount is limited to 2 BTCs and transaction fee is quite cheap.

Yup there are several exchanges that provide this currently. You can trade on Binance (up to 2 BTC), Etherdelta (unlimited), and I believe Poloniex as well (2k limit).
all the altcoins he mentioned are altcoins that have their own technology, and I do not think there are decentralized exchangers for them, unless what he says is a token-based ethereum, you can answer like that Wink

I have a few altcoin (clam, bch, btg) which I want to exchange into Bitcoin, but I don't want to give out my data.

No one needs your personal info. Just verify an account and exchange your coins.

But in poloniex you need to verify your account so you can get more than 2btc withdraw daily.

by default, if anonymity is of interest, then we should look towards decentralized exchanges (forkdelta, idex). As already written above, many exchanges also do not require the provision of personal information, with certain restrictions on the withdrawal of funds in this case
