Just an FYI in case some of these cards are Visa gift cards from the USA:

"Due to changes in applicable law, gift cards purchased after March 31, 2012 may not be used for international transactions or purchases. Please use gift cards for domestic U.S. transactions or purchases only."

go to my thread for australian cards, usable in other countries

what was the ETA?

The payment was sent and shipping address received by rothglobal on 4 June 2012. Expedited shipping was promised at 5-7 days. It has been 12 business days and 16 total days. Therefore, rothglobal has failed to deliver.

I think he should return the bitcoins until the cards are delivered and found to work satisfactorily. Any other suggestions?

I've been following these cards on the seller's talkgold thread as well:

http://www.talkgold.com/forum/showthread.php?t=358995&page=6

Unfortunately, it's not looking too good - nobody on that forum has received them either and the seller hasn't responded to any posts in a while. However, I'd say a 30 day wait period is reasonable before raising the scam flag. I do believe that's getting close though...

who has the bitcoin debit card? http://bitcoin-debit.com

Off topic, but some of that text is stolen from a Liberty Reserve debit card from an unrelated company. Interesting.

I am a Citizen and resident of the Republic of Panama, searched www.panamaemprende.gob.pa (Panama company creating website) and www.registro-publico.gob.pa (oficial property registry of Panama) and it does not exist.

If you have an existing company, properly registered with the Panamanian government it is displayed the way my company is registered on Panama Emprende https://www.panamaemprende.gob.pa/publico.php?pag=certificAO&anio=2011&ao=7017&Suc=374476&a_buscar=__Vega%20Y%20Ramirez______&np=

with the information found in panama emprende you can go to the public registry or http://www.registro-publico.gob.pa/ and check if its properly registered.

if you check http://www.geopostcodes.com you will see that the po box seems fakes. NOTE:In Panama the PO Box say Apartado or abreviated apdo, so if anyone ever sends a letter there it would never arrive. The zipcode is part of the pobox in Panama's case

Good for you posting that to keep people from wasting their money on that card.

The first people should be receiving their cards early next week.

I am a little "hands tied behind my back" since I am dependent on the bank for processing and shipping. I am still satisfied though since some cards in offshore markets, the banks take up to a month just to process before shipping out!

Great news! I think anything under 3 weeks from order to delivery is quite good.

I'm sure interest will spike dramatically as soon as someone posts a positive review of the card itself. I'm in for sure and I have numerous friends who will be as well.

Wonderful!

Reloadable debit cards are available everywhere. Near Instant loading with e-currencies in an offshore jurisdiction is a different story. Additionally most of these reloadable cards are not going to allow you to move 10k, 20k, or more a month.

These already exist in my country but much much cheaper...
If anyone is interested you could pm me i guess
there is a one off cost of $7 (AUD about 1:1 for USD at the moment)
they come with a minimum of $20 and are reloadable, no charges for reloading or taking money out of the ATM.
all the features seem to be the same as the above mentioned card.

yea Ive seen them at the service station. Do you need to provide ID to buy them ? Ive always wondered that....

these actually only came out in the last day or two, from the post office, will find out and post more details tomorrow.

Ok I will try and sum up the past few posts questions in this post.

Initial card purchase can be made with BTC as well as not through any other outlet, but a direct address for your payment specifically.

Withdraw in a non USD country from an ATM: 5.5% (loading fee) + 2% currency exchange + $3USD

And this card is as anonymous as you are going to get for the transaction limits we provide.

anyway i'm waiting for the positive reactions on this forum about your product and i will be happy to order

So just to clarify, if I were to get one of these cards, I can load it from BTC directly without going through mtgox or aurumxchange or liberty reserve or anything like that, right?

How about the initial purchase of the card.  Can that be made with BTC, too?

Also for those interested in references from another forum, you can PM me and I can share that info with you.

For those interested in following the same thread on another forum here is the post. There seems to be significant demand for this product, where one order has not been delivered yet, which means rothglobal can make a tidy profit.

Quote
Ordered Friday 10 days ago. Also paid for express shipping (50$ extra "without tracking id").

Still no card delivered.

Of course, working with the legacy banks is frustrating because they are so slow but caution is, of course, warranted. I do understand the need to keep a URL for funding restricted to users of the card out of a sense for discretion, nevertheless, I do not think malaimult's request for screen shots of the funding platform as being unreasonable to give people a feel for how it would work. Perhaps even a screen captured video, which shows this thread for reference, of an actual funding would be nice. So I will update on the order status and funding experience when there is something to report.

Unfortunately that user has not contacted us yet, so I actually do not know if he is even a customer. Regardless, there is processing time for the card itself and an order on Friday is not going to begin till Monday.

About the platform. Each order will receive an individual encrypted link to access funding. This is also to ensure security of the platform and to track any possible attacks against it. It's a very basic looking site and in a screenshot isn't going to look like anything besides buttons and fields. I may make a funding video though since you mentioned that tomorrow evening or so.

rothglobal can you make some print screens with the funding platform? since you don't have any website running i'm very curious on how the exchange will be done. you will gain more trust and clients.

I think I may have discussed it. It's a script that allows you to deposit via e-currency into our accounts. Once my server confirms it, it will connect to the bank platform API. Your account balance will reflect as available balance within 5-10 minutes. Funds come out of my master account with the bank.

Yes exactly. What I was asking is can there be a single address that I can send all my Bitcoins to in order to fund my account? That would be useful in a sense that I can always have my mining profits from a pool sent to my card.

That would considerably reduce your level of privacy. Even if you're sending fresh coins to it, anyone that discovers just once what that address is used for, will be able to see pretty much how much money you earn with your mining and send to your card.

If the point of this service is privacy, it should always use a different address for funding. (so should you to withdraw your mining rewards, btw)

@OP, I suppose the cards' balances are denominated in USD. Is that the only option though?

I love this idea.  I want one, like, now, except this looks like a very new venture with no feedback or website.  Have you got pictures of the card itself?

For a client I ordered and paid for two cards via Expedited shipping (5-7 days) and because I am curious how this works and know it would fill a need other clients have therefore I will also be helping them getting the cards working, etc. Plus, more billable hours!

So we will see how well this performs and I will provide an update with my client's experience.

since when Visa is ok with anonymous card holders?

It's through an offshore bank, additionally there are certain countries we do not ship to and that is obvious why.

i knew one company (epassporte) who offered similar service, non bitcoin related, they had very loose KYC & AML policies, one day Visa terminated network access to these epass issued cards, lot of people were out of their funds. company was based in one of Curacao islands if i'm not mistaken.

which countries you won't ship to if you don't mind me asking?

don't get me wrong, you have what sounds like an interesting service, i'm just having my doubts regarding legitimacy and longevity of such operation with relation to Visa and their policies

Can there be a permanent deposit address that we can hook up to, say, a pool?
What is the minimum deposit amount for each currency?

Permanent deposit address? I am a little confused. Clarification and I can figure out what you need?

$10 is the minimum.

I think his question was unclear also.

I think what he intended to ask was: Can a single BitCoin address be used to fund a particular card? This is similar to how many of the exchanges, etc. work. Anytime bitcoins are sent to address X then it credits account Y. In this case, could bitcoins sent to address A always load card B.

That is possible because funding by bitcoin is unique to each address.

Yes exactly. What I was asking is can there be a single address that I can send all my Bitcoins to in order to fund my account? That would be useful in a sense that I can always have my mining profits from a pool sent to my card.

7. If I ordered this for a client, can the card be in name A and shipped to name B?
8. If two cards are ordered and shipped to the same address can they be in different names?
