I believe you cannot really become truly anonymous.  Anyone can view the transaction logs, and someone with enough willpower (say a government who really wants to track you down) can probably trace the logs from a known source along the chain all the way back to you.

Settings -> Options -> Network -> Connect through SOCKS proxy. The default proxy settings are for a standard Tor installation; you only need to change them if your Tor setup is non-standard.

Note that Tor only hides your IP address. It does nothing to prevent your transactions from being traced, which is more important. For more details, see en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Anonymity.

Yeah I have read that it's not completely anonymous but I have read that one is able to "Torify" the application I just haven't found anyone that's been able to use those features.

Bitcoin is not really anonymous.
The real question is, what do you want to do?
Do you want to buy loads of bitcoin to hide your money?
In that case, create a paper wallet, send all your Bitcoin to the paper wallet address, hide your private key in a safe place until you want to get access to your Bitcoin.
Do you want to engage in secret transactions? Well, the block chain will have a record of your transaction, but there may not be a way to link some particular address to you.
Just run bitcoin-qt on your and never make any of your addresses public, and if you do use an address, create another for the next transaction.

How do we use our Bitcoin-Qt client anonymously? I've heard that it's possible to "Torify" it. Is this a difficult task? Is anyone on this forum using there client this way? If so, how can we do that as well? I'm running OS X Lion lates version and the original bitcoin client. Also, is this possible to do on the Litecoin client?
