Bitcointalk also lost almost 1 million viewers last month, again, continueing a long term trend
I think the cause for this is complex, but yeah it can be a sign that people are losing their interest in crypto. I bet most of this views comes from bounty hunters who were scammed and not getting paid thus stop using this forum for good (or at least wait for the next bull run where scam project can go x20).
It's not really a bad sign, this is what we need to filter out the market from bad speculation, investors, and educate people to be more careful. Anyway, bear market or not, development is going strong. No worries.
This is quite expected with the bearish market that we are having right now. When Bitcoin reached its peak in 2017 and even into early part of last year, there were heavy buzz partly created by the focus the mainstream media got into it and now that Bitcoin is going down the buzz is getting to be negative. However, as an industry, this is quite a natural occurrence and the industry can use this time to establish more foundations and infrastructure for more challenges in the coming years. I am still a believe in a brighter and bigger Bitcoin future...are you?

Besides, I've never understood why we need specialized sites for news about bitcoin. Everything that is worth talking about makes it easily in the pages of old generic news, 95% of the garbage ccn and other posts are a complete waste of time.
Just look at their first page, there is nothing there that (at the moment I'm writing this) that would make me click on it.

there are two kinds of bitcoin news sites. the first kind they usually see the popular high traffic sites like Coindesk and then want in on the profit so they attempt at creating one. the other type are the sites that are being "farmed". there are people who create shitty sites, write shitty articles then spam the links everywhere and do other things to rank up and then they sell it to highest

CCN was one of the least worse from a bunch of crap new sites, but that still makes it worse than...anything else. Dailymail might be considered a quality scientific research paper when compared to it.

if the bullshit that sites such as CCN publish were a "sign" of market movement then price should have shooted up and down at least twice a week since they publish different crap depending on the moods of that day and whether they can find a good clickbaity article that day or not.
the fact that they are putting other things on their website is because they want to maximize their traffic as much as they can so that they can make the most amount of money. it has nothing to do with the market, signals or which way bitcoin is going to go!

Well that's news brings again to the people's of Bitcoin community another hopeless especially those didn't trust well the capability of bitcoin as decentralized crypto currency.
I doubt that's why they know the future of market value let wait the future of younger currency become stable don't listen to the news because bitcoin is unpredictable currency wait for the right time for us bitcoin is under the long long correction until now just kept faith and trust well the capability of bitcon as part of new technology become stronger after this worse scenario.

Whenever I see is in the news section or I read something that is quoting them I start to doubt that more than 10% of the story is true. Just like all websites, they are desperate for traffic and clicks, they invent stories, they use clickbait titles, they are trying to pack as much useless information on the front page to make you click something and stay longer on their website.
If it is a bearish sign, it's for the media that is focused on cryptos alone and they are faced with less and less stories and a hundred wannabe news sites popping every month.

They aren't funded by bitcoin alone so there will come a time wherein they would really need to do something else aside from being a news website tackling about cryptocurrencies alone. Not that I'm saying that it's a good thing, but from a business perspective, compromises must be met. Anyone who is getting a lot of views would likely expand/diversify and take the opportunity other than staying on one spot for too long. If the opportunity is present, why avoid it? Bitcoin and the crypto world isn't defined by a single cryptocurrency news website, so CCN can rebrand any way and any time it likes.

Eh, they're probably just trying to diversify. They've already built up a brand (lol) and it seems like they have a lot of viewership that also happen to be interested in financial markets. This would be a smart move even if Bitcoin were doing great. But yeah, the crypto space has been really boring lately so it's also entirely possible that reduced traffic has forced them into transitioning earlier than intended. Still not a bearish sign though I'd say.
The Bitcointalk one is probably more related to the increasing scarcity of signature campaigns and the general realization that bounties are shit. It could also be because there's not a lot to talk about anymore lol.

We are at the all time lows about anything related to bitcoin. Twitter mentions, google searches, the price, mainstream media attention, bitcointalk.org daily users (which is down for 1 million since the last month)
Overall everything about crypto/bitcoin is going down. If CCN can't generate enough revenue from the crypto fans it is natural target a more active audience.
Things will change in a couple of years at worst. This is going to end just like what happened in 2015-2017.

There are lot of downward predictions last year in which its proven correct in the end making the upward predictions to become proven wrong. This new prediction is possible therefore better if we embrace it in advance and be prepared for it because it is better to expect low then it become high than expecting high but instead the market is falling.
