looks like just a scam, tricks done by fraudsters are very diverse. the point is that we do not easily believe the free. to make money in crypto, we have to work hard. for free ones, sometimes there is an airdrop, and I often receive airdrops.
If i received any token that i don't know, i usually check the token contract address first.

The thing is once you received such tokens just leave them be, do not try to send them out or trade them because this will give the scammers access to your wallet fully, I got 350 Luna tokens two days ago which has a link in the description, I knew this isn't the original Luna that we all knew, I just abandoned the wallet and move my fund to another wallet.
I experienced it also, but with another token. The method is also different from what I have encountered. At first I was excited to received free tokens worth 1k USD but then when I searched thoroughly I found out in order for you to withdraw those coins you have to trade on their exchange, for which you will be getting points in able for you to convert that coins you received. At that moment I knew something was off and just leave it on my wallet, another month had passed, the coin wasn't any value at all. If I had trade in their exchange I would've used a total of 20k USD, see what they are trying to do? Steal from you slowly and the mean thing is only that coin is allowable for you to trade in order for you to acquire that points which you can use to withdraw those free tokens. It just means that you have to acquire more of those to get them, what a scheme they have, so be careful of that tokens that they sent you.

Yes, this is obvious a fake website and the good thing is that you can check if in the smart contract to see if this is fake or not.
Everything here should be taken with a grain of salt, and everyone has the responsibility to verify, verify and verify. I can't stressed that anymore, and if by chance you feel to this scammers, then its your fault for not doing your due diligence.

This is not a new thing. We already face this type of problem with several coins, and all of them are still in my wallet. When you want to sell that coin on a decentralized exchange like uniswap or pancakeswap, you can swap, but you may lose your balance because they set their contract address in a different way where they put their address and whatever transaction you are going to do, they will send you a signature, and if you approve that without checking, you may lose your wallet funds because they send a fund transfer.That is why when we go to add any new token to sell on the market, the decentralised wallet always shows a popup where they alert us about fake coin or token. That is why they always suggest taking the token contract address from the official handle of the coin or token.

Have never experienced such before, but I have read a lot of posts about this and it is a scam so you should avoid spending that tokens so you wouldn’t fall for it. Seems like it’s becoming a normal thing now because I never used to see it regularly.
Most people would definitely gall for this due to the lack of information, especially the greedy ones that are always looking for free money in the crypto market, not knowing that nothing comes for free in the market the we days. The crypto space is still full of opportunities and it is still possible to make a x100 of your initial investment withing a relatively short amount of time, if you are very lucky and invest into the right projects. That being said it is also part of the truth and the whole picture that the crypto space is also full of shillers or so called influencers that are dumping tokens that they get for free on their followers after they have shilled that token to them and of course it is also full of scams and bad people that want to steal your money.
Especially on the BSC we see a lot of scam tokens recently because the transaction fee there is really low and you can send your scam token to a lot of people without having to pay a lot of transaction fees.
I think that mostly people aware about this kind of scam tokens that were always appearing anytime. As long as your wallet looks active and it will be sent scam token by the scammers. The only thing that needs to be remember by anyone to not try to connect or even try to do a swap the shit scam token like that to make sure if the security was safe. In my opinion if the scam tokens are very annoying for the wallet owners but the wallet owners can do nothing for that.

Spam attack was just a common thing this time. Double check in the smartcontract address is a must to avoid the copy cat tokens that eventually sent by scammers to the random address. I have seen so many people were also creating various thread about this problem and it seems like that the only solution to abandon it. The fact that if people are also facing the same problem like you even some have fallen into this trap and their assets got drained instantly. I just remember about the spam tokens that happened when the meme tokens have become a new trend in the past.

Sometime the copy cat scam ape token has value caused by the developers itself were pumping it. This means if you must also try to verify that whether it has the same smartcontract that used by real ape token on CMC. You must be careful and did double check for that. So many people have become the victim from this scam token. I do know that if they are feeling greedy with it but in fact that if you are seeing the market and then you can know that easily if which was the scam project and then you will able to determine whether that was a scam token or not.

If you receive APE token that has a value and you can sell it then be thankful to it but I am sure that no one will accidentally send you a token that has a value most you will receiving in your wallets are scam tokens that is being sent randomly to any address so be careful on visiting the site of that token and if you receive unexpected coins or coins that you are not familiar with, it is better to stay away from it.

That's probably a dusting attack token or spam token. That created by scammer as a trap and you have become one of victim that being sent the scam token by scammers. You must always be careful and always checking the smartcontract address used by the token that being sent to your address. So many newbies are getting scammed caused by their wallet got drained by the scammers after they are trying to swap their asset.

Having the consciousness that nothing is free in crypto is an added advantage. If you have not done some kind of bounty or Airdrop activities and sees some free tokens in your wallet, it should be suspicious. I have seen countless times where I would be told to claim some tokens, since I didn't work for them, I don't bother participating because nothing is free.
You can be in the process of claiming these tokens and compromise your wallet.

This is just one of the many fake coins and tokens which are freely distributed to many wallets. They seem to be harmless but once you can be enticed to sell them in the exchange that is where the problem is because your other assets in your wallet can be migrating somewhere. I am not so sure how it is being done technically but maybe it got something to do with their own smart contracts...because when you do sell you are actually interacting with smart contracts of the coin or token in question. I have been telling this that wallet should have a way to deal with this...we should have an option to delete these fake tokens and coins in our wallets.

In the past, token transactions like this were mostly carried out by new projects that seemed scam or non-legit just to increase the number of holders, it was not too troublesome because we could just ignore it. But I agree with you that random delivery like this is not a legitimate project especially if their tokens are quite valuable in the market. The OP could easily ignore it without worrying about a scam attempt.
Nothing is free in the world, so don't be greedy. They would be fake or real. But they won't spam you unless you share your private keys. No matter who sent this token, if it's worth some dust you may sell it. But I don't think you can do it. Likely it was the Airdrop token, projects do sometimes increase holders. I got some random free tokens in my math wallet, I suspect that they are all scam tokens, if you see them in your wallet avoid them cos someone is trying to lure you.

That is a scam token for sure. If it is APENFT then their website address is apenft.org. They are on BSC, Tron and Ethereum blockchain. They one which is being traded on Binance is APE and its website address is apecoin.com. It is an erc20 token. Therefore the coin that you recieved is a scam coin.

Looks like a scam to me, the scammer generates a fake Apecoin tokens and send them out to all address doing transaction on BNB network, if you try to sell it will lead you to Ape-NFT.io, a fake and unsecured website.

Which APE it was? I have searched on CMC and found 8 different APE which is confusing.

As you can see I'm not the only winner of these 350 APE tokens, this is where I started to get angry, saying to myself that why can't it just be only me? (kidding) Lol, as I proceed in my search I ended up with this website link.
