Multicoin is a program to manage multiple altcoins wallets? Can you provide link to the project, please?

About the multicoin java program, I never heard about it so I would not install it just to be sure. Bitcoin-QT is official client, so very secure in my opinion.

There are Bitcoin software for the Iphone and android. But, I'm unsure if they are actually secure. But, like mentioned above, just use Blockchain on your phones web browser.

there won't be any iOS wallets, as they're not allowed. only way to use bitcoin on iPhone is through blockchain.info's app or browser

Hi, new to bitcoin here. I've managed to download and compile both the bitcoin-qt and multicoin java program, both work fine except the initial sync with bitcoin-qt took quite sometime, also I don't like multicoin putting the configuration in ~/Multicoin/, maybe I can set it to go somewhere else? I see there is an android wallet, is there an iPhone wallet already? Thanks.
