The Corsair units are overpriced.  You pay extra for the name.  LEPA (Enermax brand) and XFX CoreEd (Seasonic oem) are units with very comparable build quality.

OP, i would suggest you put all 4 of those PSUs listed on auto-notify and grab the next one that pops up.

BTW. all my mining rigs are running Linux with 2 GB Ram and never had any problem. Never tried 1 GB as 2 GB are necessary for 64 bit.
Just wanted to point it out. :p

Hi again, I was wondering whats the best power supply for the price the make a mining rig of 3X 280x.

ALso, is 4gb of ram is enough for it also? Already have that for 2X 280x, so was wondering if it still enough if I add a card.

TIA

I have 3 Asus 280x cards on one machine, I  have a Seasonic x-1050 psu, 4 gb ram, runs awesome and stable. Wattage at the wall is 925 watts using kill-a-watt. Cards are running on stock voltages.  They are running cool and stable at 720 k/h each

awesome although I think your wattage is a tad high I am guessing your cards are overclocked

as long as its not a high wattage cpu and not tones of other junk running of the PSU an AX860 should work well

( I am running 3x 7950 gfx cards overclocked/ undervolted on 1 X HX 750 and its only pulling 700w from the wall )

I don't think the gpu you have are that much more power hungry and your not planning to overclock

please don't just take my word for it do some research on what the total wattage of your system is then add at least 10% to that and it will give you some idea on what you need

if you can tell me the complete component list I will be able to tell you more but going on what you have said an ax860 should be fine

there are plenty of cheap brand psu out there but don't be tempted by them as they are junk

I personally like corsair as I have used them a lot and never had an issue + have a good resale value

the corsair hx and ax series PSU are awesome Smiley

4gb should be fine unless your running reaper as your mining software
