Right now just (3) 1080ti.

One 1080ti will be on motherboard.  The other 2 on riser.

GPU will need at least 3 pci-e cable.  Riser will need 2 more.  Total of 5.  Even if that enough for now it may not be when 1 more GPU go in.

That why I'm asking about molex or sata.

If I right those PSU come with PCIe 8pin (6+2), 2x 6pin, the rest 1x8 pin (6+2) and 2x6pin.

if you plug 1 more GPU, the 8 pin (6+2) would be powering your GPU, The Riser using 6pin.

Depends on how many GPUs installed for your RIG?.

If still available after installing GPUs, go on using PCIe cable it will be better.

But if PCIe cable didn't enough to powering GPUs and Riser SATA to 6pins it's ok but Remeber use several rail from your PSU.

Make sure your Riser powered with max 75 W since normally PCIex16 will supply 75 W max for a card.

Good morning gentlemens.   Smiley

I purchase this riser kit:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077JYBDYT/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This psu:
https://www.evga.com/products/Product.aspx?pn=220-P2-1200-X1

Ideally I can power these riser with direct pci-e connector from the psu.  Problem is with several (1080ti) GPU I won't have enough cables or connectors to hook up risers and gpu with pci-e.

What is best option then?  Direct connection with molex from PSU?  Or use SATA adapters?

Many thanks.
