I think its beacuse its so cold the air is clear and its easier to see , i have seen the smoke above cities and its very dark , imagine you use a specific telescope to see the stars maybe , all you see will be a brown spot like you dipped your lense in coffee

Did you know that geological surveys are carried out on the Antarctic continent for space life and research for life on other planets?
So what is the connection between Antarctica and the planets in space?
Why are researches carried out by many countries in one continent?
Antartica is the only place which is having extreme weather conditions where humans can't survive without special equipment so it will be much expense savings to start the excercise from there when someone is going for the space on future.

You summed it up very well my friend, thank you. geological structure compatibility and unusual weather conditions must be similar.
Kind of similar surface but not the same weather condition, in mars the weather is more extreme compared to Antartica but warm up is good than before entering into the intensive workout that kind of strategy applied here as well.

people will never stop seeking for things that they will always be interesting , antarctic is far from other planets though the climate is very cold .

let them make their research but never just buy the idea, remember that something will be only done if someone believes on those.

Why are researches carried out by many countries in one continent?

Aside from being a great location for space observatories, Antarctica's conditions are the closest on earth to Mars' surface and the icy moons of Jupiter and Saturn.

According to the coolantarctica.com website:
Quote
Such is the extreme nature of the Antarctic environment, it has been used as a testing ground for equipment to be used on the moon and on the surface of mars. The Dry Valleys region in particular with their extreme cold, winds and dryness are a good stand-in for the surface of Mars and so drills and rovers are tested here.

As far as I know, I watched in a documentary that the Antarctic continent is very similar among the conditions on Earth that are most suitable for the conditions on the planet Mars, for example.
