Good things always will be "affected" by dumb people.

Anyway, how I see the Bitcoin thing in a few years?

Or maybe some flunkies are just being paid per MB of anti-BTC video uploaded and their handlers either don't notice or don't really care.

This, or... gold bugs gone mad?
The "doing the exact same fucking thing over and over again. Expecting shit to change" kind of insanity.

These things are uploaded daily but have no views. Who in their right mind would
search for "bitcoin today" instead of just "bitcoin".

Well, it does sound like a typical dumb bureaucrat move to just keep reposting the same negative videos several times a day on a searchable website (one powered by Google and maaaaybe having some semblance of relevancy rankings) in the vain hope of trying to slow the groundswell.  Roll Eyes

Or maybe some flunkies are just being paid per MB of anti-BTC video uploaded and their handlers either don't notice or don't really care.

In any case, it's somewhat amusing... in a sad, that-guy-thinks-missed-lotto-drawings-affect-future-chances sort of way.

Ignore these, if anyone is stupid enough to believe that sort of manipulation then they aren't the type of people we want in our community. The goal of bitcoin shouldn't be to spread to as many people or buyers as possible but rather to make as much of a positive impact as possible, we could do without more volatility.

Why not just ignore them?

Alex Jones is a major nutjob, tinfoil hat nutjob, everyone who takes him as an authority on any issue doesn't deserve any attention.
Because they are designed to FUD any newbie that searches bitcoin, AND the "bitcoin generators" are designed to scam them, so that they don't mess with bitcoin again for as long as possible.

I could see ignoring them, if these were once in a while posts, but they are doing it as dedicated astroturf, where they don't miss a day, or even part of a day to make sure  that these scams and FUD are at the top of the UTube search for "bitcoin".

You think it's no skin off your nose, but if they succeed in dissuading even a few newbies from bitcoin, they've damaged you and the rest of the bitcoin system by slowing down adoption.

On any given day, if you search for bitcoin clips for the day on UTube, you'll find several users religiously reposting the same old clips of Alex Jones bitcoin collapse clip, Chris Duane's anti-bitcoin rant, and "bitcoin generator" malware bait scams. Many of these they repost several times a day.

Instead of wasting our time every day rehashing the same old topics on this forum, I suggest we take the time daily to flag these clips as spam and scams on the sites where they are being religiously reposted DAILY!
