Is it good to have anti-political dynasty law in the Philippines?
1987 Philippine Constitution, Article II section 26, search for it pal. Better know what you are stating first before you start a thread.
The Article II Section 26 of 1987 constitution of the Philippines stated that the State shall guarantee equal access to opportunities for public service and prohibit political dynasties as may be defined by law.
In that statement, the constitution clearly said that there is no political dynaties shall happen in public services. But in reality, does that article really followed? No of course, we see by our naked eyes that most of the position for mayor and governor in nationwide are always been dethroned by either one of their family.
Take a look in Aquino and Marcos regime, did you see that until now, the tenure are always placed for them?
Yes, we can run as President or any position for public officer but whomever are the popular in our nation shall always get the triumph. That's the fact in our society though we have constitution.

Overheard something on the radio talkshow my mom was listening to a few weeks ago. Apparently they were talking about a bill in congress to somehow put a limit on how many related politicians can be in office at the same time. Doubt it'll get passed though.

The thing is though it was in the Constitution no law was signed to implement it. Which is not surprising considering that majority of politicians here are from these "dynasties". Some places, like in Mindanao, many politicians run unopposed since every politician in town belongs to the same clan. They just have a meeting to choose who would run for that term. It's a mockery of democracy.
