that " new firmware " is over a months old . I flashed all my D3's with it , they was hashing fine aftre the update for a week , just like before i upgraded the firmware Smiley ... right now my D3' are retired temporary Smiley

May be or may be not, you have to try.
If it is a hardware error it wouldn't help.

At the moment x status on one of my board after turning on for only 1 month. Will the firmware update help to solve the problem ?

Hi everyone.

So Bitmain has released a update for the D3 and was wondering if it solves the issues everyone was having with theirs? The description on their website says the following: "1. fix the issue: some miner's chip status is 'x' after running for several hours or days."

They overclocked miners in latest batches to able to hide their scam little bit.
So from 15g to 19g machines is going to be die in a 3 months maximum.
The warranty is 180 days, so BITMAIN have to fix it when it dies.
