I have 16 AntMiner S1's in a room (along with other miners), and most of the days, they are around 58c-59c. I've had them running for over 3 months, no problem so far, but I do have outside air coming into that room and air expelling from that room to the outside.

Also, I believe the Ants are set up to cap at 65c by default. Once you reach that temp, they are "supposed to" throttle the hashrate to lower the temps, but I do not know that from experience, as I've never hit more then 62c.

I would strongly recommend some type of air circulation while you are away, even into your house, so it could have heat dissipation.

Maybe someone else can give you better ideas Smiley

EDIT: Also, you could underclock them while you are away. Run them at 275Hz instead of the default 350hz. You'll have lower hashrate, but also much lower heat.

Hey guys I have 5 miners running in my garage in Texas, all of them Antminer S1's.  I have ran them 6 days and they have reached 58° Celsius. I haven't seen any performance issues at this temperature, but is it dangerous to run at this temperature? Can antminers catch on fire at this temp or will it just blow out the PSU;s. I haven't left them alone for long periods of time, but I'm going on vacation soon and I would like to be able to leave them. Does anyone know the max temperature on these? The 58° is the reading from the Miner status, and I have read it's probably even hotter then what the system says. I have no AC leading into the garage, but I have a nice setup in there and would like to keep them in there if these temperatures will not hurt the machines or cause fire. Please let me know what you think. Thanks guys.
