I bought some of the S3+'s so I'm interested in them for sure. They haven't shipped yet so no experience. I do have the regular antminer S3's and as long as you update the firmware to get rid of the beeping problem they're awesome.

500 Gh's should make about $6-7 a day... maybe less when they ship. Bitmain has a good history though of issuing refunds and good discounts when things don't go the way they advertise.

The U1, U2, S1 and S2 all used Bitmain's BM1380 chip on a 55nm fab. The S3 uses the BM1382 chip on a 28nm fab.

Yup, that's right. Maybe we'll see some awesome Antminer U3s coming out, using 2 BM1382 chips.

Al least read about people losing their mined bitcoins after problems with their hardware.

1) Mining hardware is not directly related to the security of your wallet. In order to protect your coins, you need to encrypt (password protect) your wallet directly from the bitcoin-qt program. Your S3+ mines does work for the pool of your choice, and the pool sends your address the earnings. Your S3 and your wallet don't directly communicate with each other.

2) Every time the difficulty increases, your S3 will earn a little bit less. If your S3 breaks completely, and you can't mine, then hopefully you bought form a manufacturer with a good warranty.

2b) If you're talking about the hardware (PC) that your wallet is on, then yes, it is possible for the HD to crash, and you lose your coins. To prevent this, always have a backup of your (encrypted) wallet.dat file on a USB drive, other computer, or heck even a CD/DVD.

Bitmain hardware is of good quality and you don't have to worry about it falling apart unless you smash it on purpose.

Or let me put it in a basic question what is the formula for my purpose?

Assuming you want about a Bitcoin per hour, I think that sounds good to me. Lets do the math.

1200 TH will get you about 25 per day so a little more than 1 per hour. You only need to buy 2,649 S3's ASIC mining units from Bitmaintech.com.

No problem I am sure the bank will fork over the $781,455.00 you will need to make it all work. The power company will supply you with all the needed power for those units, about 8370 amps not to mention the cooling and building you will need to supply. Don't forget you need a power supply for each unit, or double up with bigger ones. Cost? About $166,877.00.

Nice salary if you can get it, about $12,890 per DAY!!!
