Hashnest is actually a cloud based mining service offered by bitmain. It is not a pool, but I could see where it get's confusing. I do believe it uses anotpool on hashnest.

But yea not much effort at all and you can setup a S3 or any miner to mine on antpool.

This will not work you need to change the IP of the miner to match the router. But be careful when doing it. If you do it wrong it is a really big pain.

I suggest taking a screenshot before hitting apply on the IP changes. Really would help in so many cases.

They are in different Subnets, so that is probably the problem.

When you are logged into the miner change the IP address of the miner to 192.168.0.44 and then reboot and everything should then be fine when you are connected to the Internet.

What is the IP address of the Router? If it is the same subnet as the miner, 192.168.1.x then everything should be fine. However if it is for instance 192.168.0.x then when you are logged into the miner change the Miners IP address (Static) to be in the same subnet as the Router, in this case 192.168.0.44

I don't understand why being connected to the internet would affect IPs on your home network.

Am I understanding correctly? If you type 192.168.1.44 while not connected to your ISP it works, but doesn't when you are?

Also, what do you mean changing the IP as described in the manuals? You should probably just keep the same IP if you're able to connect the first time.

Hi!

Since four days i'm trying to setup an Antminer S3. I'm completely new to mining and have some questions. Hope you can help me out Cheesy

I have connected the miner and computer to a router.

When I fill in the miner's ip in the browser, the login page opens and I can login.

The problem is I can only reach the miner's page (by filling in it's ip in the browser) when the internet connection is down - I think because of the ip change I made to reach the miner. But when the internet connection is online I can not reach the miner via the browser.

Every time I change the ip settings as discribed in manuals, but than the internet connection is lost.

What could be the right settings? The Antminer's ip is 192.168.1.44
