Got it working tonight after work... Just had to change the network settings around a bit to match the S2's other than the ip address.

Just got my S3+ in tonight, hooked it up and for some reason it simply isn't hashing. I've tried setting it up with Slush's pool and BAN and nothing. My S2 was a breeze compared to this thing. For the power supply I have a corsair cx750m so it should have plenty of power. Anyone have any suggestions?

Wrong network setting. Please post the screen shot of your S3 network setting.

One of the Common Misconfigurations is WRONG GATEWAY.  Please check if your gateway is correct.  If you are using windows, open up a command prompt and type "ipconfig" it will bring up your gateway IP you are connected to.  Please make sure it is the same on your Antminer

Also, a screenshot or two would help trouble shoot here!

Same old .... if you can connect to it via the web interface, make sure the network is set to DHCP. I think S2;s ship with that set, but most S3's ship with a static setting.

512 seems to be the best diff for s3 Wink

Hmm it atleast did something, now multipool is showing that I'm hashing over at over 500GH/S speed Cheesy
Yep, thought so. You are now submitting shares more frequently so the pool has enough data to more accurately estimate and report your rate.

Allright, thank you very much for your help!

I just lowered my diff, we will see what happens. Im using multipool.us so not mining only bitcoin, does that affect how much?
If you are mining other coins or the pool is setting your diff, then it may be OK, but 4096 certainly is too high for mining BTC on an S3 (especially on a pool). In the final analysis, you should earn the same as the earnings are weighted by the share size, but you will end up submitting fewer shares in the same timespan than if your diff was lower (e.g 400), and your rejects / stales are going to be un-necessarily expensive. Infact, that may explain your earlier lower pool reported rate.

Yea might be. Thanks a lot for the help! : )
Saying that, your diff is quite high for an S3 .... unless ofcourse you are solo-mining, or not mining just bitcoin.

My antminer shows in the miner status page that its hashing at 474GH/S, although in Multipool it only shows 381,16GH/s. Any ideas why?
I hope that is the AVG rather than the 5s rate you are stating there and would explain the difference as a result of stale / rejected shares and HW errors .... I'd hazard a guess that the difference is greatly accounted for by stales / rejects though. You most likely have a high latency connection to the pool which results rejected shares .... thus the difference in hash-speed

Nope, thats not the 5s avg :-/

E: Now it shows over 400GH/S in multipool site too. Don't know what was wrong earlier Tongue
Most likely when it was showing a lower rate on the pool you'd hit a patch of rejects (as your stales look normal)

please create a ticket at http://bitmain.zendesk.com  (top right)

or email a support request to support @ bitmain . zendesk . com

If support staffs are online, you may request to chat, too.

https://v2.zopim.com/widget/livechat.html?key=2ZaJsbRPVUUFCqOE8MmgXgbFFdNYxOBP

warranty is 90 days from purchase date. (Bitmaintech.com or Amazon seller "Bitmain")  If you purchased it from else where, please email the proof of purchase in the ticket.

you can try updating the firmware to the most recent January one but before you do that, please power off your S3+ and let it sit for 10-15 minutes and power it back on.  If the xx goes away.  Often time, a few X's on the ASIC status comes from teh firmware bugs.  But your hashing speed is low, too, so the problems could be on the hashing PCB.

What is the warranty on the S3+. I have one showing:

oooooooo oooooooo
---ooooo oooooooo

And only getting speeds of about 400.

Thanks for the info, but I'm past 90 days on it.

I have a batch 2 that I was getting a couple x's and have to run the Frequency at 218.75 which stopped the x's showing up. I get  420Gh out of it with low error rate.
