You're all more likely to get S3 support here or here.

Hi everyone,
Can anyone help me, I cant access the S3 GUI, I can see the miner on the router giving it the address 198.168.0.99 which is the one I tried to set as static, but after I did this I have no response from the miner.
Tried to reset to factory settings but its not working either, still same ip.
Tried connecting with eth to my mac and same story.
Maybe Im not reseting properly? just pushing with a clip the button next to the leds?
pls help much appeciated

First change all your IP to the same family.
192.168.1.99 and 192.168.0.99 are two different families and one from the other cannot be accessed.
Switch off all your routers, modem, computers, miner and all and start the miner first.
Reset the S3 via the small factory reset button in front of your miner.
Now connect all the router and cables check the IP which S3 now connected.
It might be 192.168.1.99 else try accessing with the other IP it's connected.
If not able to connect like now at this time, connect your S3 directly to your computer and change your computers IP to match with the miner.
Now you try connecting to the miner. If you are no able to connect even now, check your lan cable, try a spare one.
Again if not working, your S3 controller is damaged and you are entitled for a warranty replacement.

S3 default address is 192.168.1.99.  Your network is different 198.168.0.1, so you will have to first change your network router ip to 192.168.1.1.  If you cant change you network ip to match the s3 then use another pc like a laptop and change the nic card address to match the s3.  Once connected to s3 then change static ip to that of your network.  Also reboot your router too.  Sometimes if I get a power outage the miners once recycling back on, wont start mining even though I can access the web GUI so I have to reboot my router to get them mining again.

Did i say I was getting a 192.168.0.x or that was the IP range I was on?

I could hope on the switch and do some subnet and port magic  with vlan and it wouldnt matter what subnets we are on. The fact still remains that I CAN NOT CONNECT TO IT AT ALL, AND THE FACTORY RESET ISN'T WORKING.

Does anyone have a CONSTRUCTIVE response?

I was talking to the OP, start your own thread instead of hijacking the OP's.

if you change the ip address in anyway & the webgui wont show up use :

http://192.168.1.*/cgi-bin/minerConfiguration.cgi

Change the star (*) for the number of your miners address

-or-
try it from a different computer, sometimes the browsers will cache pages
into memory and prevent the connection.

Now I'd been trying that since last night.

This means the reset didn't work.

Please power on the S3 and let it run for 3-4 minutes.

Press and hold the reset button with a paperclip for 5-10 seconds.

Let it go and wait for 3 minutes.

Power it off and wait for 1 minute

Power it back on.

It should be 192.168.1.99 and clear all the setting by then

S3 unfortunately doesn't use microSD card for the firmware.  So there is no swapping the card.

does anyone know where is the sd card so I can reflash it from my mac? any tips?

I found the button and pushed it for 10 secs, wait 3 minutes power off and on, but the ip is still 192.68.0.99 as per router info and cant access GUI from browser. I think I messed up with LAN instead of WAN when I tried to set static ip.
Any toughts?

I just had to factory reset mine and did it by using a paper clip in the hole next to the 2 LEDs for Power and Mining (If looking at it eye level then the whole should be on the right).   I noticed on mine the button was very low in the hole and took some maneuvering to push.  So please look carefully for the button as on mine it was Grey.
