I guess I will go with a reservation.  I didn't want to do that since this needs to be set up again if changing the router down the road.  I like to keep things simple.   Smiley

The guide doesn't address static IP addresses.

Like I said, it's easy enough to set up.  It just doesn't stick for some reason.  Maybe a power down will make a difference.

Or you can set Address Reservation on router. So the router will always assign same address to the miner.

I have set my Antminer S4 to a static IP address, but it keeps reverting to another IP address (not even one I set myself).  It obviously doesn't like my choice and has other ideas.

How do I make it stick?  It accepts my entry and stays for about a day, but later it changes back.  If it will always revert back to the same IP address I am fine with letting the server have its way, but I don't want it to make some other choice later.  I need to be able to remotely connect to it at a predictable address.
