Thanks. I've not read through that whole post yet to get my head around it but was thinking it would be best to swap components like for like rather than adding variables as I don't have the experience.
Another problem is finding replacement "working" boards doesn't seem to be cheap, even faulty boards pulling quite a premium.

I forgot the name of the member here in the forum who offering to repair board. Much better to buy a new board instead than repairing the s7 board.
Anyway, maybe this thread could help you check this https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cheap-and-simple-repair-of-s7-hash-board-1420909

And this site bitmainwarranty.com just found it here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/antminer-s7s9-boards-who-repairs-them-surely-someone-does-2728991
But I don't think if they are actually safe always make sure that you read the whole thread first for some reply or reviews so that you are far from scammers.

There seems to be so many posts of people having hashing board problems but just not many with successful repairs.
What I'm looking for is either someone or a company that will repair (preferably in UK) or a detailed guide on fault finding/repair.
From what I've seen, the most common seems to be capacitor replacement but without any info, I think these people just hit lucky as it's the easiest component to swap out.
Any advice on fault finding or repair would be great!
