This thread can be closed, I was able to find the manufacturers spec sheet for the fans.

These units have been set to the defaults, I almost never force manual fan speeds (learned my lesson on the A6's). I figured out the issue with my replacement fans. I had to swap the tach and the control wires in the 4 pin fan plug and leave the control wire disconnected  to get them running. I now have the S7 running on aftermarket delta fans albeit with no ability to control the rpm anymore. With the weather warming up here the fans are running at max pretty much all the time so losing the ability to control fan speed is a non issue at this point. Thanks to everyone who replied!

I assume the dp means Delta Products and the B01D# is the model.

I have 20 s7's from batch-1 on up all of course running 25x7 and have had zero failures so far. How are the fans failing???

buysolar has my batch 1 fan still works

and my batch 2 fan works.

I wonder if the dead ones were set at 100%

60% works far better.

I could tell long stories with lots of details but running fans  10 to 15% under the max rpms is really better then trying to max volt the fan.

I have not set mine on 100, I always felt like I should be doing it with a fan or something vs pushing so hard (and I could be wrong, but it's worked so far).  Have owned MANY bitmain gear and all I have had die on fan's was a S4 fan.   I ended up going with the Sanyo fan with higher RPM on it as replacement.... but really was kinda moot.

My mining area uses lot's of CFM's to cool it from fan's and a nice exhaust.  So my miners live in a pretty easy life besides a few day's if it is really really hot in summer.

I had an S7 come in for hosting with a fan that died within a couple days. I swapped on a borrowed S5 fan (I think, might have been an S1) and it worked just fine. Of course inlet temperatures were quite a bit lower than they are now.

That link doesnt provide any specs for the fan. Searching for B01D88TURO just brings up this forum thread and one or two others.

Fans die, there is no specific reason for it. They are just cheapo chinese fans and the bearings seize up and they stop working.

Same with the second link. Spending $15 + shipping for a $5 fan makes no business sense or I would have ordered them from bitmain already.

They are actually decent fan's I would not call them "cheapo chinese fans".  I believe they are delta as others have said which is not a bad brand.   As far as exact specs don't know that I have seen on S7.

S4 is last guide I can think of that they released a good sheet with lots of info - https://bitmain.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204199879-Antminer-S4-fan-specification-and-possible-replacement-fans .  But no S7.

If your wanting a backup... I would just order it from them they handle a lot pretty well.  I don't think they are near as cheap as you think they are.

Does anyone know the actual fan specs for the S7? These cheapo fans have no labeling of any type to look up the info. I have tried multiple replacement fans and none of them run properly. The only other fan I have found that I can replace them with are from some old S4s I have that were just gathering dust. I have had to replace 5 S7 fans in the last 6 weeks and would really like to get some replacements ordered so I dont have to disassemble functional units for them.

Thanks in advance!
