If that Altcoin is using SHA256 then yes it can.  If not, no.  This is the bitcoin only section so we don't pay attention to Altcoins here.

The real price is what's listed on the Bitmain site, I think it is under $2000.  Any sale price you see that is higher than that is simply a miner that was bought and is being re-sold by some greedy bastard who sees a profit opportunity, and nothing more.  It'd be ok if I were the one getting the profit, but I'm not.

To drive the profit takers out of business, you must not pay more than what Bitmain sells them for.  Refuse to pay anything over Bitmain list price.

It works on 120/240 volts (NOT 110/220, that is technically incorrect and has been for decades in the USA).

Plug an Ethernet cable to it from your router / switch.

The price is jumping now, but difficulty will eventually catch up.

Hello there. I am interested in buying this Antminer s9 and I am surprised the sellers dont give the details, and the questions are piling up in my head. I wonder if you could help me finding out answers to theese:

1) The price I see on amazon is 3900$ but I see other pages that sell it for 1700$. Is it scam?

2) Does it work on 110V? Thats what I've got around here.

3) How does it connect to the internet? Via computer or directly through Wi-Fi? Is the network traffic heavy?

4) From your experience, what is growing faster... Bitcoin price or difficulty?
