Nevermind, I already solved the issue.

It's the cable that causes the problem. I used a Crossover before and after I switched to Patch Cable, my miner can now connect ~

Hello everyone,

I have just received my first S9 miner today and seems to encounter some strange issue during installation.

So story short, I have completed the PSU to the Miner cable setup part and have made sure that all the 3 boards are running normal and also
the controller part as well.

The problem that I'm having right now is the connecting to the Internet part, which the manual said that an Ethernet (LAN) cable is needed for the miner
and the router to connect.

So I just grabbed my spare cable and start plugging in to the miner and then connect the other end to the router. After that, I downloaded the IP Reporter program from Bitmain's website and then ran it. Then, I pressed the "IP Report" button for 5 seconds just like the manual says but I still haven't got the miner's IP address.

So I tried another solution after a bit of googling and then downloaded another IP scanning tool called "Advanced IP Scanner" which I found is more simpler and easier to use, but the scan also shows nothing except my usual ordinary stuffs like smartphones IP and etc.

And then after a bit of observation, I noticed that there is no light blinking on the "ETH" cable indicator on the miner which then I thought maybe that the miner didn't detect or recognize the LAN cable that I used and therefore it can't receive the IP address from my router.

Afterward, I hypothesized that maybe either the router LAN port is faulty or the cable is not compatible with the miner and then started to experiment a bit by switching ports and so on. After a while testing, I found that it seems that all the ports are normal and doesn't seem to be broken and because of this I suspect that the problem must be with the cables or the miner itself.

But I maybe wrong and perhaps there are other factors that have caused this problem.

I really appreciate any help or opinion that you guys have.

Thanks
