One of the hashboards is rattling like crazy inside the case.

That's the sound of BTC printing. Grin

Jokes aside, if the above isn't the cause, then it's those channels (where you insert the hash board), you need to make them tighter since they are for some reason (likely the heat) expand and fail to hold the hashboard firmly, maybe put some silicone in them? I know exactly what noise you are talking about, however, I never attempted to fix it because it doesn't really affect anything that matters to me, also what do you mean by the edge of the hash board? do you mean the bottom part?

If you heard something rattle noise it's mostly due to a loose heatsink but since you said the rattle sound is gone when you are holding the socket so the middle hashboard might be loose. Check this part on the image below

There is a black padding/rubber on that part maybe you forgot to put it back or it might be loose.

Hi All,

I'm pretty new to mining.  I have an Antminer S9 that is driving me nuts.  One of the hashboards is rattling like crazy inside the case.  I've confirmed that it's not a heatsink or the fans (I actually installed new fans as the old fans were tired). When I hold the sockets of the middle board, the rattle stops. The fans don't bother me nearly as much as the rattle.  Has anyone tried putting anything on the edge of the hashboards like a plastic strip to keep the boards from rattling around in the case?  I'm assuming that there isn't much heat transfer from the edge of the boards to the case, but I don't want to do anything that might hold heat on the boards.
