The older s-9's are about 13 months old.
keep temps lower with fans.
keep humidity low if you can
keep dust low
good internet connection
good power supply
clean gear once in a while.

Exactly! If you treat your gf in a neat way then she's there for you the way you want and for long period of time. Keeping the miner very cool is first step toward increasing its lifetime period. I'm sure it will be just fine for two to three years if you clean it time to time by halting the mining process and letting it cool down to room temperature. It is also important check the electricity flow through your wires, if it is fluctuating way lot then it might destroy the miner more than expected.
this cannot be answered acurately. each unti will be different. and it does depend on how you have treated the unit and how cool it was kept. you might get one that goes bang in 6 months,then you might get one that goes on for years. it's an impossible question to answer
