Final update 1/2

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who tried to help me.
Unfortunately the miner did not want to boot from ssd, tried every possible combinations.
I ordered new motherboard for it, it supposed to arrive in a couple of days, when it does ill update the post.

Thank you again for everyone.

of what should be connected to what out of the 4 different "pins". If someone could point it out to me I'd really appreciate it!

I think the explanation on the image is quite clear, you need to short the 4 pins, both pins from A must connect to both pins from B.

now the structure does not state if both A pins are shorted together , same thing applies for B, but the drawing suggest that they are not, because if they were , they would have pointed to only a single Pin from A to be shorted with a single Pin from B, so this makes me think that those 4 pins are not connected in anyway, but to be safe try this

- connect only pin from A to the one facing it from B, and see if that works ( unlikely)

if that fails , then you need to short all 4 pins together, an easy work around is to take a coin (50 cents 10 cents) whatever you have at your country that will be big enough to cover all 4 pins,  and place it on top of those 4 pins, it won't be an easy job for 1 man to use hold 2 wires while flushing the control board.  whatever you use, make sure it does not touch anything else except for A and B.

Update:

As I've promised, here is my progression update on flashing the firmware on my miner:

I was able to get hold of my miner, the require tools-sd card, reader, etc. After disassembling it I've found out that my miner has a CRT0302 ""double board", which means, according the original site https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019493654-S9-series-S9-S9i-S9j-S9-Hydro-Control-Board-Program-Recovery that I need to shortcircuit the board.
Unfortunately , the official site doesn't do a very clear job(or just i dont understand it,but it doesnt really matter from my perspective Huh) of what should be connected to what out of the 4 different "pins". If someone could point it out to me I'd really appreciate it!

You can flash the s9 miner with Braiin OS via SD card and I think c5 control board is supported.

You can follow the sd card flashing here https://docs.braiins-os.org/#phase-1-creating-bootable-sd-card-image-antminer-s9-example

Note: Your miner OS will replace with Braiin OS and if your miner is under warranty it may void your warranty. So don't flash it if it still under warranty.

Yes, unfortunately it still gave me the "Error 413 Request Entity Too Large" problem.

i think this error has to do with compatibility, you seem to be trying to flush a firmware that your control board does not support, and it throws that error before even going into flushing state, you need to try another firmware, try the once for S9j not the S9, or use another firmware that's not from bitmain, i think any non-asicboost firmware should work.

Yes, unfortunately it still gave me the "Error 413 Request Entity Too Large" problem.

Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I'll have access to the miner again, and will try the SD card recovery method you've linked me! I'll post the results here. And again, thank you for your help!

The miner still doesn't allow me to upgrade the software, still showing the "413 Request Entity Too Large" problem. My S9 has an SD slot though, so i might need to try boot from there/flash from there?

Have you tried to flash it first with upgrade fix? You can found it from here s9_fix_upgrade.tar.gz if not then flash this first before you flash it with the default firmware.

If the result is the same then the only solution you can do is SD card recovery but I don't hear someone success on flashing antminer s9 with SD card because Bitmain doesn't release an SD card firmware or a guide from their support page.

There 2 video how do they flash the S9 and make a bootable SD card recovery.

- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VT0GBoh_xTI

And another solution that I think may fix this issue is this one Rescuing a bricked T9 (and S9?) Control Board - HOWTO. This is your final solution if BitMiner247 solution doesn't work this is the final solution to fix this issue.

Just a suggestion to try swapping out your ethernet cable. I've had a few of my S9's get stuck in a boot loop because of a bad ethernet cable.

First of all, thank you for all of your replies!

As you have pointed out the probability of a network problem, I don't think that is the problem, I've got 9 other ASIC miners and 11 GPU mining rig on the network, all running fine for months now. Nevertheless, I have tried pinging the server, and it does work!

As BitMaxz suggested, I did a physical reset on the miner, actually had to do all 3 of them which resulted in the following:
1.The miner restarted and was showing the expected hashrate for mining with the default settings, and it had a Hardware Version and BMminer version as well.
2.When changing the settings to my own, it wasn't mining for 30-40 minutes
3.After hard resetting again, changing the settings it DID mine for me for like 10-15 minutes, it restarted a couple of times and now won't do anything without my restart-input and the Hardware and BMminer version are blank again.

The miner still doesn't allow me to upgrade the software, still showing the "413 Request Entity Too Large" problem. My S9 has an SD slot though, so i might need to try boot from there/flash from there?

One more thing, I have tried the setup with a new PSU now, and that did not help unfortunately.

I would like to thank you guys for helping me!

bad news is this

Code:
bmminer not found, restart bmminer ...

You can get this error sometimes if your internet connection is unstable so OP should check his internet connection if it stable or not by using the "ping" command throught CMD.

To do this open Command Prompt(CMD) Windows+R then type CMD. Type the code below as sample.

Code:
ping google.com -t

You can replace "google.com" with your pool URL

If you are getting something like "request timed out " like this below.

You probably have unstable internet connection that may result on "BMminer not found, restart BMminer".

good news are, hashing boards are fine

Code:
Chain[J1] has 63 asic
Chain[J3] has 63 asic
Chain[J4] has 63 asic

bad news is this

Code:
bmminer not found, restart bmminer ...

this is pretty much a bad firmware, but as far as the restarting issue goes, it's either a bad PSU of a failing control board.

after having done what BitMaxz suggested things would be a bit more clear, now i personally find the best way to reset s9 is by using the IP REPORT button method, turn off the miner, keep holding the IP report , power on while still pressing that IP button for 10 seconds, release it , wait for 15 mins, power the miner off and on again.

As bitmain description, the latest firmware that you use is not supported on C5 board

Can you try to hard reset the whole miner to the factory default settings?
To perform a hard reset follow this method from here How to reset miner to factory settings

If this doesn't work try to flash it with s9_fix_upgrade.tar.gz

Then flash it again with Antminer-S9-all-201711171757-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz

And let's see if it can solve your issue.

Hello guys, I'd like to ask your help of what should I do with my miner.

I had an S9 that worked for quite a while without problems, then it started to act funny. By this I mean it was running for a good 10-12-14 hours without a hitch, then it restarted and kept it doing every 15-35 minutes.

Steps I have taken:

1. Changed both of the fans. Didn't do anything, it worked for 10-14 hours and started to restart by itself again.
2.I did NOT try a different psu but you'll see that's another problemfix for another day.
3.Tried to update to the newest firmware-first mistake-, "Antminer-S9-all-201812051512-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz" which it actually did, despite that my has a C5 control board(if im right) but now it wasn't even working even with the required pool and worker data correct and waited the recommended 20-25mins to let it boot up.
Furthermore now both the "Hardware Version" and the "BMminer version" are blank.
4. Downgraded the software, to "Antminer-S9-all-201705031838-650M-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz", still nothing.
5. Wanted to upgrade to "Antminer-S9-all-201711171757-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz", but it wasn't able, and now im constantly getting a "413 Request Entity Too Large" problem.

I have tried everything that I could think of as of today, and everything I've done is listed above.

Thanks for the help in advance!
